Living in Arizona or I should say living in Phoenix misting systems are very common here. Because the air is so dry when you put water back in the air like this it cools things down 15 or 20°. I’ve never seen a portable one like this. Many homeowners have Mr.’s installed on their patio is Outback. The latest thing I’ve seen is a device that looks like a ceiling fan or it looks like the motor of a ceiling fan that hangs in the middle of your patio. And it basically does it the same thing it rotates and spreads out water all over your patio and cools down the patio.

In areas, like where I live, where the summer temps are often 95 with 90% humidity, these systems are almost useless due to our high humidity levels. They really are most effective in drier climates such as Arizona.

If you have very hard water, when the mist dries, it leaves a hard, dried, white mineral residue on everything, including plant leaves.
It's the same residue you have to clean from the spray tips with vinegar.

    • @SilverCymbal

You can definitely blast the lawn with it and it would cool it and slowly add moisture but would only cover maybe a 25 by 25' space so that might not be enough but it could help a problem area
