I've used mine a couple times and it's worked great. We had a family gathering last summer on one of the hottest days of the year and it definitely helped that day
Absolutely perfect review, answered all my questions. Until 10 minutes ago, I didn’t even know these where a thing for home owners, I thought this was something only available for sports team with massive fans.
They should make the nozzles adjustable to point them in whatever direction works best for a person. I don't think they should be pointed straight ahead because they'd get objects in front of them wet. Instead, the nozzles should, at least, be pointed towards each other, so the water is sprayed in front of the air and cools down all the air coming out of the fan.
It seems like the sprayers should be facing each other in front of the fan, so they are not spraying you, directly but placing water in front of the fan to cool down the air coming at you. Obviously you would still receive the mist blown towards you by the fan's air. But you wouldn't risk getting water sprayed right at you and getting your clothes and face wet. They should just make the sprayers adjustable to accommodate whatever configuration a person wants them in.
My only concern is that I only have a couple of Ryobi tools. So I use battery adapters. I don't think the battery housing will close if I use a battery adapter.
@@AllThingsCool thanks for the info. I’m exclusively on solar in another place I have in Baja, having the house water pump running for long periods is no good for me, however running directly from the electric plug would work, sadly apparently this is not the case. I’ll keep on looking, again thanks.
@@carmenmartinez2882it's probably because using it with a plug would electrocute a person considering the fan is mixing water with power. Using a battery is the best way to prevent that from happening.
What do you think is the better option? A hybrid fan or one of these? I don’t know that I’d use the hose all that much. Do they give off about the same amount of air?
Great review! In your opinion what do you think the max distance the spray could travel in an open area? ( parents or kids sitting at little league baseball) Thanks!

yea I wasn't sure if i was gonna like it at first but after using it I'm glad I made the purchase

@@michaelpurdy1116 Glad it helped!
Have you tried putting ice in with the water?
have not but sounds like a good idea !
I do every weekend it works great
Wonder how long it'll take to empty a full 5 gallon bucket?
He said in about 3 hours
@@enriquevelasquez6427 Actually that's phenomenal 👍🏽
How many hours do you get on one battery ?
He mentioned that in three hours the battery uses 3 out of the 4 bars so take it from there
Would be great if I could buy a finer nozzle. In a smaller space, our courtyard is 5m x 5m, the nozzles wet everything.

Great review, thank you!
your welcome
Will the battery compartment on the mister handle higher capacity batteries than the 4Ah? What is the limit on battery size?
Es obligatorio es uso del agua o puede utilizarse sin agua en rl interior de la casa?
you can use as just a regular fan also no water needed if you dont want to use it that way
Good review of this misting fan. Appreciate that. I'll be picking one up this week.
love it and so do the kids on those hot summer days
I may have to get 1 of these
yea I like mine alot

Can it be used plugged in instead of battery operated?
not the misting fan there regular fan can it's hybrid but ryobi misting fan only works with a battery

Nice review Chuck!

I got both and use the hybrid more. the misting fan is nice but only use the misting feature on super hot days
Don’t use the hybrid with water, and if you’re looking for a fan without water, def not this one.
@n.j.crawler you cant use the hybrid with water
@@AllThingsCool no shit. That’s what I said. Lol. Water + electric = only idiots.
Potentially stupid question can you use sea water if you are at the beach
not sure if that would. ruin it or not
Was wondering the same thing. Would be very convenient to just fill with ocean water. Let us know
Salt water will corrode the pump and nozzles. I would avoid that...
Sea water will corrode all the metal parts. And will leave salt residue on your skin. Making you feel sticky.
I wouldn’t advise it, it may potentially aerosolize microbes and cause pneumonia.

few feet
Half ice, half water and it will get even cooler.
good idea!
man I can feel that lol
I was thinking the same. But I would probably like a finer mist. This looks like it drenches even at low setting
Exactly!
