It continues to bother me that still so much of the Ilsabard (and adjacent) areas are covered in clouds on the current map. Would love to see that thing completely unfogged eventually. Or at least most of it.
There is a theory floating around for the covered regions. What if it is not covered at all but instead there is a whole continent made of clouds? Floating so to speak. If it's true it would explain the map as well.
@@Lyu-Phy we know for a fact that isn't the case because many places that are covered in clouds have been spoke about numerous times. Plus if they were actually floating, it would be like the Sea of Clouds and other places from HW.
I actually have a map made from space but everytime I tried posting it, the comment disappeared so Wyrm probably disapproved. but it's rly cool to see the actual size of the continents and mostly cloudless Ilsabard.
one of my favorite theories is that the eleventh shard is just the world of ffxi, i think that would be really cool. i think it would be great if they gave this a little nod, making it canon, and including ffxi as part of your xiv subscription and making it easier to get the game to run, we don't even have to visit there in xiv, just making it the eleventh shard would bring in a lot more players into xi, i think
This is a missed opportunity! FFXI isn't going anywhere, they should strengthen their bonds and include a subscription for both. I have been considering doing a full playthrough of FFXI, the lore fascinates me, but I wanna wait til I have a good idea of how I wanna do it and if people viewing this channel would ever want me to upload such \o/ A full crossover with a reflection would is the perfect chance to tie both games together!
I honestly want them to go to the Dalvalan Grath/Tail Mountains, so we can get to see more of the Steppe Tribes, as the Xaela pretty much are the only ones who have been into those areas frequently, and the mountain tribes are supposedly bonkers. As well as possible hints to the predecessor Au'ra race that predates the split between Xaela and Raen, which are supposedly differently colored in scales.
If I don't see the Lalafellin homeland, I will riot in the streets. On that note, the homeland of the popoto would be amazing as well! Honestly all of these pics could take multiple expansions to discover which means years of more gameplay!
There's several places we could end up going next: 1. the rest of Ilsabard (maybe to re-stabilize the nations that were all conquered by Garlemald) 2. Meracydia (to continue Tiamat's seemingly forgotten story thread) 3. the New World to the west of Eorzea (maybe we'll finally get a Blue Mage LB) 4. the mysterious land across the ocean to the east from Hingashi (that is explicitly _not_ the New World) 5. the Thirteenth (in attempt to return it to how it was, like what we did in the First) 6. or even the other surviving Reflections
What are you talking about in 4? That is all of Hingashi if you mean where Bukyo is. That is the Samurai motherland which is Japan, Kugane is just a small part of Hingashi that we got. And if it has stated there is land over there, then it is probably just the otherside of the New World. The game is inspired by our world. There isn't going to be another random continent.
I just want to go to Ilsabard proper if only to get rid of the clouds on the world map. It’s kind of silly that they are still there and even on maps that are in universe. The fallout of the Garlean Empire and the status of its territories is the biggest plot thread aside from the void that hasn’t been fully resolved, so it makes sense to deal with that soon in order for us to have a relatively clean slate going into any completely brand new unrelated storylines
Fully agreed, I am hoping for an updated Etheyris map by 7.0. SE please! I also wanna see what lies further north beyond Garlemald. Those floating Islands caught my eye.
I think the next expansion will follow the same globetrotting approach they used in Stormblood and Endwalker. Rather than explore one realm or continent in detail like we did in Heavensward, we'll get, say, one region in Meracydia, one in a restored Thirteenth, and one region from Ilsabard.
Yeah but there was a reason for that in SB and EW....now there's nothing but to make us "speedrun" through areas...so I'm hoping they'll go back to their HW Exploration Roots, with a mixture of what we've been shown in EW & SB
personally, while exploring eorzea would be really cool, especially the areas that we haven't gotten to yet, i would be lying to myself if i didn't prefer going through the reflections and the cosmos of the source before then. i do imagine that 7.0 is probably gonna be mainly us trying to go into the void and try to fix it, similar to shadowbringers, but after that anything's on the table, really
my money is on we will be done with the Void before 7.0 like as you mentioned shadowbringers the Raid series in which they fixed eden happened within shadowbringers. I think this portion of the void MSQ with zero wont be as long as we think. I do however believe we might be going to the reflections in 7.0 because during this time of fixing the void, beatinbg up golbez and his 2 other henchmen, shtola will have figured out a way for travel. and with ryne and gaia currently missing on the first. could be an interesting way to start 7.0 by showing people of the other reflections our shard/new places we have yet to see ourselves like merycidia and etc.
I really don't like the idea of hopping between the other reflections. Because it will end up being more or less like Shadowbringers. They need to focus on expanding the world that WE live it. Hrothgar, Viera, and even Au Ra have very little lore. And we have only seen 3 or 4 Tribes of Miqo'te. Not to mention none of the night based races such as Moon Miqo'te have gotten little to nothing.
They said that we won't really know where 7.0 will take us before patch 6.5 at the very least. I'm pretty sure we are fixing the Void before that and then something big will happen that will lead us to our next big adventure.
@@TJetPrime I'm thinking the big reveal is that golbez already has a means to travel between worlds, and his crusade is raising an army to go elsewhere. Or better yet _many other shards already do_ and the source and the first is actually behind.
My expectation, Endwalker spoilers btw, is that Golbez is building an army and plans to invade The Source. I bet the brunt of the invasion will take place is Meracydia. We for sure go to multiple Meracydian zones and I hope one or two zones, and maybe even the endgame city-state hub, in The Thirteenth! I really would love to go to a reflection with a very advanced civilization. I am more a Sci-Fi fan than i am a fantasy fan, so the ending of Endwalker 6.0 feeling very Star Ocean-ey to me was AMAZING, and the more modern glamours are very popular too, so why not give us a more modern/advanced expansion! Don't really think it will happen, and I know Yoshi P has said how much of a High Fantasy fan he is so.. yeah.. I hope though!
You may be on the money with Meracydia. With the sheer number of Voidsent that Allag threw at that continent I wouldn't be surprised if many remained there even today, maybe even allied with Golbez. Afterall Voidsent can be found everywhere these days.
@@WyrmLimion Probably a lot of voidgates as well, similar to the one we use to travel. My guess is he knows of one that could be thrown open with enough Aether, which is why he's gathering so much.
@@1337penguinman I have or had a theory. The Void Dragons at the start of the Endwalker trailer, I always thought that odd to put in the trailer. It made me think the Voidsent were involved with the expansion, until we saw Terminus in Garlemald with the exact model. Still, I cant shake that it was all a subtle nod at whats to come. A throwing open of the gates, their plan to save the Thirteenth may involve the end of the source, but they couldn't until Hydaelyn was gone.
Meracydia is all but certain at this point to be in 7.0. We should expect other lands as well. I personally hope a war in 7.0 will be far more than what we got with the final days in thavnair. I'd love for them to add higher level enemies on the ARR map for people who buy 7.0 expansion because a full scale war shouldn't be limited to one area.
Because of the Formula 1 Big Continent with 6 Areas per Expansion only "The New World" or "Meracydia" makes the most sense to me to serve as an Expansion Area. Meracydia is atm my best bet for 7.0 with the Prep for War in the current Patches and the Outbreak then in 7.0. But even the other Areas would be make really good Content. -Blindfrost as a updated Version for the Criterion Dungeons in 7.0 -South Sea Isles as Extension for the current Island Sanctuary Questline. -Farreach a new Deep Dungeon/24 Raid Questline Maybe Nagxia,Dalmasca and Hingashi could combined also purpose as an Expansion Region cause there are all really close together.
6.0 only used the 6 areas part of the formula so it's not out of the question that 7.0 would also be 6 area that are not on the same continent. 4.0 Also gave us 2 region with 3 Area each so it would be possible for 7.0 to have 2 to 4 Area on Meracydia for exemple and the rest being a bit everywhere, that wouldn't be unprecedented
@@vincentbeaulieu5225 the only exception was 4.0 with 2 Regions seperated with 3 Areas each. 3.0 and 5.0 was also 6 Areas. And tbh Stormbloods seperation broke the whole immersion for me. This whole Back and forth between the Regions who are so far away was complete dumb. I know Aetherythe Teleportation trough the Network exists in the Lore but even with that in Mind i think it was complete Stupid.

We were separated by huge oceans, yet we still worked together to take down Germany and the other Axis Powers. That is basically what this entire game is based on or inspired by.
@@DantoriusD while it definitely broke the story, especially for Gyr Abania, it still made sense to do it that way. From here on out, that is probably all we are going to see. While I think we could cover most of the New World in an expansion as well as Meracydia in an expansion, I feel like we will go to both of those places at once. Yoshi states he intends to work on the game for at least 10 more years, putting us at about 3 to 5 expansions. I think Meracydia will be broken up similar to EW how we went to 3 places on our world, but then 3 places else where. So we might get 3 or 4 zones on Meracydia, but then also get 2 or 3 zones in Far East or Isalbard. I feel like EW broke the immersion far more than SB did. We went back in time, to the Moon and then to the other side of the universe. SB would have been far better if they had a single writing team.
definitely believe that another reflection or meracydia is next- assuming we rescue azdaja, she's going to have missed out on a LOOOOOT. perhaps we do a world tour with her, going to visit hraesvlgr then tiamat? alternatively, the loss of nidhogg and ratatoskr is going to be completely new to her, so she might not want to be around the dravanian horde, which is slowly deepening connections with ishgard, or in thavnair, surrounded by men. yknow? personally im BEGGING for a super sci fi world like the grid from tron legacy for one of the reflections. i think that clash between the futuristic tech and our old magic would be soooooo fun. My prediction: Since going to the Thirteenth, Y’shtola will try to understand the science further. We will work towards Myracidia in the mean time. In 7.0 we will go to Myracidia then from 7.4 onwards towards a reflection. In the later 7.x.5 patches we will visit Corvos in maybe a bozja kinda thing or maybe that will be our alliance raid 8.0 will take us to a universe with technology and magitech with FF7 inspiration which may have a tie in with the 3rd FF7R game. So this would let us have Soken do a rendition of One Winged Angel. Probably would be from an alliance raid where someone going through Shinra style research
Honestly, I think she'll be in a better spot than most to spend time with mankind. Remember, the last time she saw people it was people she loved enough to enter the void to protect. She doesn't have the "people can't get along with us" experiences that followed the death of bahamut. If anything, she'll come out shocked that the entire world isn't like Thavnir. Which actually might make the idea of her going on a world tour even more likely. She'll be the first dragon we meet that has no direct context of dragons hiding from or angry with humans, because that wasn't a thing in her day. That, and she's been around worse for like, what, a thousand years?
Wherever 7.0 will take place it’s going to be lots of metal, brass, gold, copper to show of the new graphic textures and lighting with the graphics engine upgrade.

Corvos would be fun to visit. We owe G'raha an adventure, after all. I really wouldn't mind exploring more of the areas around Garlemald, either. Although I really want to visit all of these places.
SPOILERS FOR THOSE THAT HAVEN'T FINISHED THE EDEN RAID SERIES During the Eden series, we saw the Empty transform from a dead, lifeless void into a place teeming with life, again. I feel like we're going to see what happened to The Empty, but on a massive scale with the 13th. I wouldn't be surprised if 7.0 is a combination of Meracydia and the reborn 13th.
@@Jordsiee According to the quest, pockets of the Empty probably saw the same revitalization that we saw outside of Eden Prime. Realistically, it will probably be centuries before things return to anything resembling normal--however, that was also revitalization on a small scale. I have a feeling IF we see something like that with the 13th, we're going to see it on a massive scale.
I feel like we're going to Meracydia, Corvos, South seas with Corsair as new scouting class. The treasure isles would be the treasure dungeons, floating from ice rift to ice rift instead of choosing doors.
For the all new areas to add 7.0 i want to explore Hingashi futher since its one of my favorite location in SB. I would love to be interested to explore Blindfrost, Nagxia and The Bounty or Dalmasca. Meracydia or The New World can also be a option to explore too

I think Hingashi is a very likely place to be added. I referenced this in my jbs for 7.0 video, but if they ever decide to add Geomancer to FFXIV, Hingashi would be the most likely setting. I really want to learn more about the War of the Magi as well. Too much of it is unknown.
so not much of a theory but more of a concept I think would be cool to explore. one of the reflections has the Eorzean races and beast tribe races swapped. To the major cities are run by Amaljaa, Ixal, etc. while our races are considered the outsiders.
Kind of morbid but I'd imagine that not only the tower of babil exists in the ruins of garlemald, a deep dungeon sort of area with humanoid x machine body horror. palace of dead was the undead and various animals, heaven on high was about eastern myth and legend.
There is still the possibility of Garlemald being rebuild, or even a new declared empire. Lots of Legions wandering around that we know nothing about at all. And there is still the matter of Tidus and Nerva..
Makes you wonder doesn't it. We have a sun, we are in a solar system. Are there other planets in this system though O.o Now saying this we dont have an answer about the reflections yet. Are they spaced out and orbiting around us, or are they occupying the same space as The Source but out of phase in another reality.
Looking at the world map, I can't help but wonder why the WoL and company didn't stop at Thavnair when they were traveling to Kugane during Stomrblood... probably would have saved them some effort (and upsetting their stomachs in Endwalker.) We start from Limsa and travel past the Sea of Jade and into the Sirensong Sea, so I got to wonder why a quick pit-stop in Thavnair couldn't happen... outside of the gameplay reasons why. :3 Sorry, nit-picky, I know, but seeing all the places labeled just makes me stop and say, "huh." But regardless of where we go next, I'm sure it'll be fun and exciting.
From what I recall from the events of Stormblood, the reason why didn't stop at Thavnair was because during the time the Garlean navy reigned dominate in the seas and also surrounded Thavnair, Pretty sure Thavnair was neutral during the time allowing trade with Garlemald and other countries. so going there for a pit stop would've been a bad idea.
Out of Everything the main three places I want to visit is: Dalmasca, The New World, and Meracydia! The Shards I can wait on, but these first three are a must visit for me! Edit: Overall I'm excited and scared for the future lands we'll be exploring in XIV.....Excited because obvious reasons, but scared because if the pacing & how much we'll actually be able to explore of X region.....I have a feeling most of these places via the Shards especially will just be a Dungeon/Trial/Small Instance Zone like Terncliff, Zero's "Home," etc. I personally believe they should take it one or two places at a time started with expanding the rest of planet Etheryis, then and only then expand into Shard Hopping fulltime.
For south sea, the summer events say they created the hula and a bunch of malos and other polynesian traced things, along with the outrigger canoe, so I think carribean would be part of the new world instead.
Someday I'd like to see a filled out map of Ilsabard with Werlyt, Bozja, and Zadnor on it since I have no idea where they are right now. I also think the 6.3 dungeon could be Blindfrost...?
Im pretty sure if a civilization in the shards surpassed Amaurot in terms of technology, Emet Selch would stop to treat sundered humans as mal formed creatures and respect them. So, i dont think theres any techonological marvel in there.
It might be possible for it to happen after his time. Time on the First moved much faster until recently, who's to say other shards don't have a similar flow of time or even faster.
I don't think Marceydia is going to be as big as many people think. I think there will be three large zones similar to what we've gotten. Just look how big the Steppes are. And if we go to Eorzea. All those zones are really small, but if you combine them into a single zone like they started doing after, they cover a massive area that is about as big as the newer zones. Just look how big Thavnair is a huge island and it is a single zone. And Merycedia is about triple the size. So they could easily get it in 1 expansion plus three other areas.

In one of the recent “talk with the devs” things yoshi p said he wanted every place mentioned in the game to be exploreable so id assume all of the things you came up with will at some point be exploreable to some extent

It makes me wonder, are they hiding something of note under those clouds. Something they are not ready for us to see, until the content is ready? Id imagine we would have a full map by the time we get Volume Three of the Encyclopaedia.
Personally I want a black mage void themed expac on the 13th. Maybe purifying that world to a pre void era using that research to help rene finish the first.
I don't think we'll go back there any time soon but I'd love to restore The Burn, especially if it's connected to the restoration of The First. Could create some interesting political tensions as groups argue over who should have a claim to it.
I agree, FFXIV should open area's that are in-accessible. Because there's a whole map of places to go that for some reason we can't. They're closed off. I'd love to go there and see what they bring to life on those places. Just as anyone with a good imagination would. 😉😊
I think some of these zones would be better exploited as exploration forays, especially the dead civilizations because if nobody's there how much MSQ and side quests can you get out of it? Shifting this to a long-term exploration zone, spawning fates with ancient monsters, learning ancient spells and maybe craft relic weapons with ancient parts could be a better use of that lore in my opinion.
My guess is that we'll either be going to another reflection or Meracydia. Because with the current storyline those two just make the most sense to me. But, only the devs truly know. In any case I'm excited to see the story expand.
As am I Barbara. Whatever path we take will be something special indeed. The devs can finally let their hair down and tell the stories they have been picking at for years.
I agree. Meracydia for sure, with maybe side quests/patch content for any of the other little places. Definitely need Y'shtola to figure out shard travel before we check on the other reflections. I like Bob the Fly's idea that the 11th shard may be the world of FFXI.

With garlean empire and zodiark gone, need a new main enemy. Ascians are mia. Will void world be more important after 7.0? Maybe golbez will bring his war to the source.
One thing that confuses me and I don’t understand. There’s was 14 versions of our world. But what’s the logistics of that in regard to space. Does that mean there’s 14 versions of the universe? Is it like a pocket dimension where everything outside the reflections are the same and from the outside you would see Ethyris ? Like the reflections are overlapping our reality but on a different plane so once you leave the plane i.e. go to space, you would be in the universe that Ethyris and Eorzea exists?
@@DeeFourCee Eitherys is literally the planet we’re on, so no the moon is not part of it. It’s sundered cause the entirety of the source was shattered not just the planet “Etheirys was a planet rich in aether, one of the two fundamental forms of energy that make up the universe. “

By just saying it was a new universe implies Hydaelyn sundered every thing in existence and not just Etheirys
@@DeeFourCee it's likely just a pocket dimension, with only the Source being in the "real" world per se, atleast that's how I imagine it with the way they worded the Sundering and portrayed it
I'd like to explore Etheirys after all the shards rejoin! We might be able to find a way for them all to rejoin without killing all the people there! The cloud of fog over the Garland area needs to be removed! We can help Garland rebuild its Main city like we did for Ishgard after the Dragon War! No, I don't want genocide! I want Rin & everyone else we met on the 1st to physically come to the Source to live with us! Then we can do the same for the 13th if we actually save them somehow! Then we can do it for the remaining ones to! We would have millions of new friends to help after we get them from their reflections to the Source!
@@BorgWolf359 That is not what a rejoining is, though. When the WoL and Ardbert rejoined their souls, Ardbert ceased to be for all intents and purposes. His aether suffused back into the WoL’s. Any other soul that was sundered would definitionally do the same. Presumably, were all these people physically brought to the source, upon death their soul would rejoin with its partners in the aetherial sea. It may even trigger a rejoining calamity if they came in mass, though all this is conjecture. However whether the reflection’s people are killed suddenly in calamity or brought over and die naturally, the effect is the same. Their cultures are destroyed.

I honestly like that idea. There is alot of things that need to be worked on aside from just new content. Id settle for a smaller expansion or one that's also set in the older areas.
I created it based on the image of Meracydia we got of Etheryis from the Moon. Its a basic shape comparison from what we could see. Others have created some very accurate art of it however.
The South Sea Isles would be great, after the little taste of tropical feel the Island Sanctuary has, the glam would be also interesting I think. "That's where Lalafel came from" Nevermind. I really DON'T want to go there now.
@@celticlord88 well technically all of the ascians exist sundered. I think what yoshi and I meant was the memory crystals are all gone. When he dropped Elidibus they went with him into the ether. So they can no longer be raised up
I think Mare Lamentorium and Ultima Thule will be as close as we will ever get to such. I imagine is grounded from here on but on some worlds very different from our own.
@@WyrmLimion Shadowbringers idea was good, but like making third name for a lalafell would be bit "we already have that". What would worry me if they would make completely different world where there is no lalafell and friends with inspirations from other IPs like Nier or whatever that doesn't look and feel similar to FF. Or we get to jump to multiple reflections, space and magic and then the power level is to high to have local adventures and stories.
I want (more) time travel.. I don't care if it's been done a million times before. Creators keep using it in TV, movies, games, books, comics precisely because it's such a cool concept. I don't care if they send us backwards or a decade into the future. "BUt wE hAVe eLPiS!!!" - Yeah.. I know. Elpis was great but we were just an observer and didn't have any power to change events that had already played out (Elidibus even told us just that before we went there.)
I made a theory video on this subject awhile back. My theory is time is advancing in our portal link to Elpis. Main evidence, the Pandaemonium's story advancing forward so therefore time is also. We could potentially reach the point where the original final days begins, maybe its even us helping lay the groundwork for Hydaelyn's summoning.

one of my favorite theories is that the eleventh shard is just the world of ffxi, i think that would be really cool. i think it would be great if they gave this a little nod, making it canon, and including ffxi as part of your xiv subscription and making it easier to get the game to run, we don't even have to visit there in xiv, just making it the eleventh shard would bring in a lot more players into xi, i think

I honestly want them to go to the Dalvalan Grath/Tail Mountains, so we can get to see more of the Steppe Tribes, as the Xaela pretty much are the only ones who have been into those areas frequently, and the mountain tribes are supposedly bonkers. As well as possible hints to the predecessor Au'ra race that predates the split between Xaela and Raen, which are supposedly differently colored in scales.
If I don't see the Lalafellin homeland, I will riot in the streets.
On that note, the homeland of the popoto would be amazing as well! Honestly all of these pics could take multiple expansions to discover which means years of more gameplay!

There's several places we could end up going next:
1. the rest of Ilsabard (maybe to re-stabilize the nations that were all conquered by Garlemald)
2. Meracydia (to continue Tiamat's seemingly forgotten story thread)
3. the New World to the west of Eorzea (maybe we'll finally get a Blue Mage LB)
4. the mysterious land across the ocean to the east from Hingashi (that is explicitly _not_ the New World)
5. the Thirteenth (in attempt to return it to how it was, like what we did in the First)
6. or even the other surviving Reflections

Blue Mage LB3 is it randomly uses one of the other classes Limit Breaks, but you have no control over which one.

What are you talking about in 4? That is all of Hingashi if you mean where Bukyo is. That is the Samurai motherland which is Japan, Kugane is just a small part of Hingashi that we got. And if it has stated there is land over there, then it is probably just the otherside of the New World. The game is inspired by our world. There isn't going to be another random continent.

I just want to go to Ilsabard proper if only to get rid of the clouds on the world map. It’s kind of silly that they are still there and even on maps that are in universe. The fallout of the Garlean Empire and the status of its territories is the biggest plot thread aside from the void that hasn’t been fully resolved, so it makes sense to deal with that soon in order for us to have a relatively clean slate going into any completely brand new unrelated storylines
The clouds blocking the map is still my biggest gripe. I wish they were covered even a bit more.

I wouldn't mind if they made ilsabard into a massive piece of side content. Completely new to ffxiv. Not the same as Bozja or eureka.
I think the next expansion will follow the same globetrotting approach they used in Stormblood and Endwalker. Rather than explore one realm or continent in detail like we did in Heavensward, we'll get, say, one region in Meracydia, one in a restored Thirteenth, and one region from Ilsabard.
I for one hope its adventure for the sake of adventure.

Yeah but there was a reason for that in SB and EW....now there's nothing but to make us "speedrun" through areas...so I'm hoping they'll go back to their HW Exploration Roots, with a mixture of what we've been shown in EW & SB
personally, while exploring eorzea would be really cool, especially the areas that we haven't gotten to yet, i would be lying to myself if i didn't prefer going through the reflections and the cosmos of the source before then. i do imagine that 7.0 is probably gonna be mainly us trying to go into the void and try to fix it, similar to shadowbringers, but after that anything's on the table, really
my money is on we will be done with the Void before 7.0 like as you mentioned shadowbringers the Raid series in which they fixed eden happened within shadowbringers. I think this portion of the void MSQ with zero wont be as long as we think. I do however believe we might be going to the reflections in 7.0 because during this time of fixing the void, beatinbg up golbez and his 2 other henchmen, shtola will have figured out a way for travel. and with ryne and gaia currently missing on the first. could be an interesting way to start 7.0 by showing people of the other reflections our shard/new places we have yet to see ourselves like merycidia and etc.
Yeah Almsot defo gonna be done with the void by 6.5 when something 'major' is gonna happe n according to YoshiP which will chnage what what we know!
I really don't like the idea of hopping between the other reflections. Because it will end up being more or less like Shadowbringers. They need to focus on expanding the world that WE live it. Hrothgar, Viera, and even Au Ra have very little lore. And we have only seen 3 or 4 Tribes of Miqo'te. Not to mention none of the night based races such as Moon Miqo'te have gotten little to nothing.
They said that we won't really know where 7.0 will take us before patch 6.5 at the very least. I'm pretty sure we are fixing the Void before that and then something big will happen that will lead us to our next big adventure.
@@TJetPrime I'm thinking the big reveal is that golbez already has a means to travel between worlds, and his crusade is raising an army to go elsewhere. Or better yet _many other shards already do_ and the source and the first is actually behind.
My expectation, Endwalker spoilers btw, is that Golbez is building an army and plans to invade The Source. I bet the brunt of the invasion will take place is Meracydia. We for sure go to multiple Meracydian zones and I hope one or two zones, and maybe even the endgame city-state hub, in The Thirteenth!
I really would love to go to a reflection with a very advanced civilization. I am more a Sci-Fi fan than i am a fantasy fan, so the ending of Endwalker 6.0 feeling very Star Ocean-ey to me was AMAZING, and the more modern glamours are very popular too, so why not give us a more modern/advanced expansion! Don't really think it will happen, and I know Yoshi P has said how much of a High Fantasy fan he is so.. yeah.. I hope though!
You may be on the money with Meracydia. With the sheer number of Voidsent that Allag threw at that continent I wouldn't be surprised if many remained there even today, maybe even allied with Golbez.
Afterall Voidsent can be found everywhere these days.
@@WyrmLimion Probably a lot of voidgates as well, similar to the one we use to travel. My guess is he knows of one that could be thrown open with enough Aether, which is why he's gathering so much.
@@1337penguinman I have or had a theory. The Void Dragons at the start of the Endwalker trailer, I always thought that odd to put in the trailer. It made me think the Voidsent were involved with the expansion, until we saw Terminus in Garlemald with the exact model.
Still, I cant shake that it was all a subtle nod at whats to come. A throwing open of the gates, their plan to save the Thirteenth may involve the end of the source, but they couldn't until Hydaelyn was gone.

Meracydia is all but certain at this point to be in 7.0. We should expect other lands as well. I personally hope a war in 7.0 will be far more than what we got with the final days in thavnair. I'd love for them to add higher level enemies on the ARR map for people who buy 7.0 expansion because a full scale war shouldn't be limited to one area.
I'm hoping we go back to the continent of Koshu. Specifically I want to visit Bukyo and hope its designed like a magitek Tokyo.
Because of the Formula 1 Big Continent with 6 Areas per Expansion only "The New World" or "Meracydia" makes the most sense to me to serve as an Expansion Area. Meracydia is atm my best bet for 7.0 with the Prep for War in the current Patches and the Outbreak then in 7.0. But even the other Areas would be make really good Content.
-Blindfrost as a updated Version for the Criterion Dungeons in 7.0
-South Sea Isles as Extension for the current Island Sanctuary Questline.
-Farreach a new Deep Dungeon/24 Raid Questline
Maybe Nagxia,Dalmasca and Hingashi could combined also purpose as an Expansion Region cause there are all really close together.
6.0 only used the 6 areas part of the formula so it's not out of the question that 7.0 would also be 6 area that are not on the same continent. 4.0 Also gave us 2 region with 3 Area each so it would be possible for 7.0 to have 2 to 4 Area on Meracydia for exemple and the rest being a bit everywhere, that wouldn't be unprecedented
@@vincentbeaulieu5225 the only exception was 4.0 with 2 Regions seperated with 3 Areas each. 3.0 and 5.0 was also 6 Areas. And tbh Stormbloods seperation broke the whole immersion for me. This whole Back and forth between the Regions who are so far away was complete dumb. I know Aetherythe Teleportation trough the Network exists in the Lore but even with that in Mind i think it was complete Stupid.

We were separated by huge oceans, yet we still worked together to take down Germany and the other Axis Powers. That is basically what this entire game is based on or inspired by.
@@DantoriusD while it definitely broke the story, especially for Gyr Abania, it still made sense to do it that way. From here on out, that is probably all we are going to see. While I think we could cover most of the New World in an expansion as well as Meracydia in an expansion, I feel like we will go to both of those places at once. Yoshi states he intends to work on the game for at least 10 more years, putting us at about 3 to 5 expansions. I think Meracydia will be broken up similar to EW how we went to 3 places on our world, but then 3 places else where. So we might get 3 or 4 zones on Meracydia, but then also get 2 or 3 zones in Far East or Isalbard. I feel like EW broke the immersion far more than SB did. We went back in time, to the Moon and then to the other side of the universe. SB would have been far better if they had a single writing team.
definitely believe that another reflection or meracydia is next- assuming we rescue azdaja, she's going to have missed out on a LOOOOOT. perhaps we do a world tour with her, going to visit hraesvlgr then tiamat? alternatively, the loss of nidhogg and ratatoskr is going to be completely new to her, so she might not want to be around the dravanian horde, which is slowly deepening connections with ishgard, or in thavnair, surrounded by men. yknow?
personally im BEGGING for a super sci fi world like the grid from tron legacy for one of the reflections. i think that clash between the futuristic tech and our old magic would be soooooo fun.

I'd point out that Hoary Boulder getting a voice actor implies that we may be seeing Corvos soonish.
My prediction:
Since going to the Thirteenth, Y’shtola will try to understand the science further.
We will work towards Myracidia in the mean time. In 7.0 we will go to Myracidia then from 7.4 onwards towards a reflection.
In the later 7.x.5 patches we will visit Corvos in maybe a bozja kinda thing or maybe that will be our alliance raid
8.0 will take us to a universe with technology and magitech with FF7 inspiration which may have a tie in with the 3rd FF7R game.
So this would let us have Soken do a rendition of One Winged Angel.
Probably would be from an alliance raid where someone going through Shinra style research
Honestly, I think she'll be in a better spot than most to spend time with mankind. Remember, the last time she saw people it was people she loved enough to enter the void to protect. She doesn't have the "people can't get along with us" experiences that followed the death of bahamut. If anything, she'll come out shocked that the entire world isn't like Thavnir.
Which actually might make the idea of her going on a world tour even more likely. She'll be the first dragon we meet that has no direct context of dragons hiding from or angry with humans, because that wasn't a thing in her day.
That, and she's been around worse for like, what, a thousand years?

During the Eden series, we saw the Empty transform from a dead, lifeless void into a place teeming with life, again. I feel like we're going to see what happened to The Empty, but on a massive scale with the 13th. I wouldn't be surprised if 7.0 is a combination of Meracydia and the reborn 13th.
@@Jordsiee According to the quest, pockets of the Empty probably saw the same revitalization that we saw outside of Eden Prime. Realistically, it will probably be centuries before things return to anything resembling normal--however, that was also revitalization on a small scale.

The remnants of the Garlean Empire lead by Gabranth retreated to Dalmasca following the Bozja campaign. Its presumably still under their control.
I feel like we're going to Meracydia, Corvos, South seas with Corsair as new scouting class. The treasure isles would be the treasure dungeons, floating from ice rift to ice rift instead of choosing doors.

New classes are unlikely. More classes they add, more tweaking they have to do on old classes to maintain balance.

For the all new areas to add 7.0 i want to explore Hingashi futher since its one of my favorite location in SB. I would love to be interested to explore Blindfrost, Nagxia and The Bounty or Dalmasca. Meracydia or The New World can also be a option to explore too
to be fair, the place is called the alzadaal undersea ruins (the ruins beneath the waters of the bounty) , in another lifetime (ffxi)

I think Hingashi is a very likely place to be added.
I referenced this in my jbs for 7.0 video, but if they ever decide to add Geomancer to FFXIV, Hingashi would be the most likely setting.
I really want to learn more about the War of the Magi as well. Too much of it is unknown.
so not much of a theory but more of a concept I think would be cool to explore. one of the reflections has the Eorzean races and beast tribe races swapped. To the major cities are run by Amaljaa, Ixal, etc. while our races are considered the outsiders.

Kind of morbid but I'd imagine that not only the tower of babil exists in the ruins of garlemald, a deep dungeon sort of area with humanoid x machine body horror. palace of dead was the undead and various animals, heaven on high was about eastern myth and legend.
There is still the possibility of Garlemald being rebuild, or even a new declared empire. Lots of Legions wandering around that we know nothing about at all. And there is still the matter of Tidus and Nerva..

Looking at the world map, I can't help but wonder why the WoL and company didn't stop at Thavnair when they were traveling to Kugane during Stomrblood... probably would have saved them some effort (and upsetting their stomachs in Endwalker.) We start from Limsa and travel past the Sea of Jade and into the Sirensong Sea, so I got to wonder why a quick pit-stop in Thavnair couldn't happen... outside of the gameplay reasons why. :3 Sorry, nit-picky, I know, but seeing all the places labeled just makes me stop and say, "huh."
But regardless of where we go next, I'm sure it'll be fun and exciting.
From what I recall from the events of Stormblood, the reason why didn't stop at Thavnair was because during the time the Garlean navy reigned dominate in the seas and also surrounded Thavnair, Pretty sure Thavnair was neutral during the time allowing trade with Garlemald and other countries. so going there for a pit stop would've been a bad idea.

Out of Everything the main three places I want to visit is: Dalmasca, The New World, and Meracydia! The Shards I can wait on, but these first three are a must visit for me!
Edit: Overall I'm excited and scared for the future lands we'll be exploring in XIV.....Excited because obvious reasons, but scared because if the pacing & how much we'll actually be able to explore of X region.....I have a feeling most of these places via the Shards especially will just be a Dungeon/Trial/Small Instance Zone like Terncliff, Zero's "Home," etc. I personally believe they should take it one or two places at a time started with expanding the rest of planet Etheryis, then and only then expand into Shard Hopping fulltime.
We know from one of the seasonal events that the South Sea Isles would be more like Hawaii than the Caribbean.

For south sea, the summer events say they created the hula and a bunch of malos and other polynesian traced things, along with the outrigger canoe, so I think carribean would be part of the new world instead.

Someday I'd like to see a filled out map of Ilsabard with Werlyt, Bozja, and Zadnor on it since I have no idea where they are right now. I also think the 6.3 dungeon could be Blindfrost...?
Im pretty sure if a civilization in the shards surpassed Amaurot in terms of technology, Emet Selch would stop to treat sundered humans as mal formed creatures and respect them. So, i dont think theres any techonological marvel in there.
It might be possible for it to happen after his time.
Time on the First moved much faster until recently, who's to say other shards don't have a similar flow of time or even faster.
I don't think Marceydia is going to be as big as many people think. I think there will be three large zones similar to what we've gotten. Just look how big the Steppes are. And if we go to Eorzea. All those zones are really small, but if you combine them into a single zone like they started doing after, they cover a massive area that is about as big as the newer zones. Just look how big Thavnair is a huge island and it is a single zone. And Merycedia is about triple the size. So they could easily get it in 1 expansion plus three other areas.

I don't think we'll go back there any time soon but I'd love to restore The Burn, especially if it's connected to the restoration of The First. Could create some interesting political tensions as groups argue over who should have a claim to it.
I agree, FFXIV should open area's that are in-accessible. Because there's a whole map of places to go that for some reason we can't. They're closed off. I'd love to go there and see what they bring to life on those places. Just as anyone with a good imagination would. 😉😊
I think some of these zones would be better exploited as exploration forays, especially the dead civilizations because if nobody's there how much MSQ and side quests can you get out of it? Shifting this to a long-term exploration zone, spawning fates with ancient monsters, learning ancient spells and maybe craft relic weapons with ancient parts could be a better use of that lore in my opinion.

I wish that we could get a map from ff12 as a city like Nalbina Fortress. Nalbina fortress was being build in ff12 so maybe like a „finished“ version.
My guess is that we'll either be going to another reflection or Meracydia. Because with the current storyline those two just make the most sense to me. But, only the devs truly know. In any case I'm excited to see the story expand.

One thing that confuses me and I don’t understand. There’s was 14 versions of our world. But what’s the logistics of that in regard to space. Does that mean there’s 14 versions of the universe?
Is it like a pocket dimension where everything outside the reflections are the same and from the outside you would see Ethyris ? Like the reflections are overlapping our reality but on a different plane so once you leave the plane i.e. go to space, you would be in the universe that Ethyris and Eorzea exists?
Well it’s implied that globez slayed the watcher on the 13ths moon so I think the shards have entirely unique universes to themselves

And when I say the moon was part of Etheirys I mean as part of the sundering’s effective area which If includes the moon would be the orbit of the planet was also affected. By just saying it was a new universe implies Hydaelyn sundered every thing in existence and not just Etheirys
@@DeeFourCee it's likely just a pocket dimension, with only the Source being in the "real" world per se, atleast that's how I imagine it with the way they worded the Sundering and portrayed it

The cloud of fog over the Garland area needs to be removed! We can help Garland rebuild its Main city like we did for Ishgard after the Dragon War! Any other soul that was sundered would definitionally do the same. Presumably, were all these people physically brought to the source, upon death their soul would rejoin with its partners in the aetherial sea. It may even trigger a rejoining calamity if they came in mass, though all this is conjecture. However whether the reflection’s people are killed suddenly in calamity or brought over and die naturally, the effect is the same. Their cultures are destroyed.

Where did you find the mercydia map is it real?
I created it based on the image of Meracydia we got of Etheryis from the Moon.
Its a basic shape comparison from what we could see.
Others have created some very accurate art of it however.

@@celticlord88 well technically all of the ascians exist sundered. I think what yoshi and I meant was the memory crystals are all gone. When he dropped Elidibus they went with him into the ether. So they can no longer be raised up

@@WyrmLimion Shadowbringers idea was good, but like making third name for a lalafell would be bit "we already have that". What would worry me if they would make completely different world where there is no lalafell and friends with inspirations from other IPs like Nier or whatever that doesn't look and feel similar to FF. Or we get to jump to multiple reflections, space and magic and then the power level is to high to have local adventures and stories.
I want (more) time travel.. I don't care if it's been done a million times before. Creators keep using it in TV, movies, games, books, comics precisely because it's such a cool concept. I don't care if they send us backwards or a decade into the future.

My theory is time is advancing in our portal link to Elpis. Main evidence, the Pandaemonium's story advancing forward so therefore time is also.
We could potentially reach the point where the original final days begins, maybe its even us helping lay the groundwork for Hydaelyn's summoning.
