These trucks are way too heavy for our highland roads here during summer. Really pushing the limit of what the roads can handle, especially if it is early in the season or after a heavy rainfall. The soil underneath the roads can be very porous and soft because it still retains water, that means the road is more fragile than it seems.
Would advise travelling in something smaller and lighter while here in Iceland. Check out the modified SUV's and trucks the locals use. There is a reason why most of the locals use that sort of transport rather than a vehicle weighing in at more than 7 tons.
