- Today we're installing the TUTD box from a member on the Caprice forums that adds the same manual functionality as other 6L80e equipped cars such as the Pontiac G8 and Chevy SS.
While the internals of this box are very simple, it gives very precise electrical signals to the body control module to know when to shift automatically, or listen for a specific signal to shift up or down on command.

Hello bro iam asking if this box well work in caprice ppv 2016 and how can i bay it
If you use it to back down when roll racing will the transmission hold its gear after your going and shut it off and will it shift at its designated shift point in the TCM?
We are going to be installing one very soon. We are hoping to adjust the parameters in HP tuners to auto-upshift at wide open throttle even while in manual mode (shift box turned on). That way, if we have the box on and forget to shift (it happens), the tune will recognize the predetermined settings and shift to the next gear for you automatically to keep from bouncing off the limiter. You will still have to manually DOWN SHIFT, but up shifts should be automatic depending on how you manipulate the settings…will post some info once we actually get to test it.
who makes the box? do you have a link? I would like this for rolling on Z06's and blowing their doors off!

You can. Running the wires is a bit more tedious but it has been done
Do you have to tune for it or just install it and it works and will it allow you to hold 1st gear on rev limiter like during donuts and burn outs
No tune required on 11-13 model. I think the 14-17 Caprices require it to be turned on in the tune.
It holds 1st gear. I've hit the limiter a couple times on accident

What does it help with ?
It allows you to manually select the gear in the Caprice since they didn't have any sort of manual mode in the 9C1 models

This guy may have been great but now he's a douche. Tried to connect via FB and got blocked. Now newcaprice requires a dna sample to see it so F that. He lost my money and I'm getting the wiring from a G8 and making one mysekl.
Do you get every gear with the box?
Yes I can manually shift through all 6 gears
Will it over rev if u don't shit in time ?

This is specifically for 2011-13 Caprice. I'm not sure how it would work on an LS swap that doesn't have a BCM
