@@flipflopfishingAZ you gotta try fishing the reeds next time! Love your videos man! Just got a 5.6 lbs out of there the other week! You won’t catch as many as Bartlett but definitely will get bigger ones!
@ryanweel4514 I'll def try the reeds. It will take me a few trips to get familiar with the juicy spots. 5.6 is a really good one. Been months since I've caught anything over 5lbs. Are you fishing from a kayak? Thanks a ton for watching!
Cant believe you live that close to that lake and this is your first time there. I caught my PB 6.5 out those back rivers last year. Ready to watch your future Land Of The Giants videos! 😂
@@AZN-FISHING That lake gets crowded in a hurry and crowds aren't my thing. I'm gonna brave it to chase those giants though. I've already been back once since this video was shot. That was a tough day. Only caught one but I learned a lot about the lake that day.
Can you let me know what your settings are for you mega live at saguro? I live close to this lake. I am trying like crazy to figure it out but not much luck. I usually keep sensitivity on 10, contrast on 2 and dynamic contrast on low. But do not see fish of lure. Any help is appreciated. Dan
I adjust my sensitivity & contrast everytime I go out, if I need to. I start at 10 for both sensitivity & contrast. I adjust the sensitivity first. I want it as high as I can without hardly any interference on the screen. I then adjust my contrast also as high as possible to fine-tune the picture so again, there's low interference, preferably none at all. I then drop a lure straight down and focus the FFS on it. Make adjustments as needed. Takes me less than 5 minutes to perform the whole process. Works evertime. It's tough at first. But it gets easier as you get more experience. I'm still learning how to use mine. I keep dynamic contrast on high. Persistence is off as well. Turning persistence on may help assist in locating your lure. Dirty water will make it harder to pick up your lure. A good bait to practice with is a suspended jerkbait. They tend to show up real well on FFS. Hope this helps!
Mike, I have a question. When you say that on a dropshot you feel the pressure, do you mean weight, heavier than your dropshot weight? I'm trying to learn. Thanks for your answer.
@@LJ-Pontoonboat So a dropshot bite tends to be very different than most other rigs. Typically, in my experience, the bass will pick up your worm and just hold it or start to casually swim away and you dont feel anything at first. Either way, you'll start to feel the line tighten, your rod tip will start to bend, and it will feel like your pulling against an object that has some heft to it but also has some flex. Sorta like snagging the end of a long, thin tree branch amd doing a steady pull on it as opposed to snagging rock where your line won't budge. That's what I refer to as "pressure" on the line. That's a dropshot bite. There's no tug, there's no "tick, tick" feeling on your line...you're just reeling in, working the bait by either small hops or just dragging it and all of a sudden the fish is just there. That's when you set the hook. It's not always going to be a bass, but hooksets are free after all. Sometimes you'll feel a tug, or "tick, tick" on your line just like with most other soft plastics, but that tends to happen when the fish are extra aggressive, or it's a sunfish. Haha! Rarely does a dropshot just get slammed. It's usually always very subtle.
@@flipflopfishingAZ Thank you Mike for that detailed response for all us rookies that follow your channel. I owe you a cold one, [or 2] when we finally meet!
Big ol cat to start the day! Nice! That bass and backdrop at 19:07 was beautiful. Keep up the great work, man! 🤙🤙✌️🎣
Thank you, Sir! It's definitely a beautiful place to fish. Catching was just a bonus. 😃
saguaro is tough, used to catch a bunch around butcher jones but not for a while
So I've heard. That's okay. I'm gonna spend some time figuring it out.
Saguaro lake is one of the best for getting big fish in the boat!
Looking forward to proving that. I see a lot of big fish coming out of there.

Great great job Sir and lake looks great
