For people who use very SP intensive DPS like DHIL and Seele she can be a reasonable replacement for Sparkle if you don't have her. Also Yukong at E6 could probably be considered. Much like Hanya though the 5* harmonies are just kinda taking her job, but with added QoL >.
This is just my bias, but I love to use Hook in a mono-fire team. Her energy regeneration is very good even without tingyun, and there are so few fire damage dealers... even tho there are also not many enemies weak to fire in MOC, but she feels fun to use against Cocolia and the weekly boss dragon.
Hanya : Sp building while boosting speed & attk with her ult. Unly downside is her mark dosent count as a debuff for certain team comps. Herta: memes of her jist spinning are acurate in Pure Fiction. Follow up teams love her and shes a great F2P ice dps since you can gert her Eidolons from SU
I think Luka is extremely underrated. I always see people put as bottom 5 in the game but he has carried me since he released. Running him with a break build and a team of Ruan Mei, SW and lynx into MoC floors with physical or quantum weakness and he out performs any of my other damage characters. He seems niche but there are a lot of bosses now that he does well against; Argenti, swarm, and even the new Adventurine that I was struggling to beat in time became a lot easier once I used him. Love Luka and I'm so happy he still has a place on my teams.
I also built her but she is so niche and jack of all trades, I only ever use her as physical support for some of the events where physical breaks are required.
Yeah i really like her at the beginning but i stop using her. I need to complete her built and user her again, since i really like the extra point she provided with the skill.
She's also much more versatile than people give her credit for, her vulnerability debuff is actually quite helpful. And with E1 she's able to provide 3 debuffs on her own, which is really valuable in a Ratio team

She also can be a very nice SP generator thanks to her Basic ATK inflicting Fire DOT (thus Firekiss) on the target. An excellent addition to a Dr. Ratio, Kafka or Acheron team! Plus she's a streamer you know? A STRRREEEEEAAAAAMER.
Herta is a must level for pure fiction. She absolutely shreds the enemies. I also like Serval on my Dr. Ratio team to easily shock all enemies to increase Ratio's follow up chance.
@@Cats_n_Stuff Any debuff applied to the enemy. He starts at 40% base chance, and each debuff increases the chance by 20% so 3 debuffs is 100% chance. This can be bleed (physical), shock, burn, windshear, defense down, imprisonment, etc.
@@dankwolf442 also, one of his traces increases the damage of the follow up attack with each negative effect stack above the 3 needed for the 100%, so he works amazing with nihility supports (and even better in simulated universe with the nihility path), worth mentioning too

But yea this game made me lose my kafka 50/50 twice she never came home sadly... n never gave me Ting Yun for the longest time! I finally have e3 ting yun now n still slowly building her. I managed to build Xueyi at 70% Crit rate, 197% Crit damage and 202% Break Effect. All this thanks to S3 Misha's Lightcone that gives Break Effect! If I paired up with Ruan Mei, Xueyi deals 5 star level of damage on par with Dr. Ratio.
I love how relaxing your style is! When it comes to 4* Characters, I think Hanya is heavily slept on. If you don't have Sparkle, and still want to run SP hungry teams, she works great! She also has a pretty decent variety of build options, and can mix-and-match planar sets depending on the team. I've found the 4-pc Messenger Traversing Hackerspace set and some sort of team buff Planar Set like Fleet of the Ageless or Broken Keel to work nicely, if you can match the stat req for them. Also, Hanya boosting the allied target's stats by % of _their own_ stats is great, allowing her to focus on whichever stats you feel works best for the build/team. If you have her, or Eidolons for her and haven't built her just yet, it's worth considering and investing in her!
Recently i built/rebuilt some 4-star characters since they have a huge in-battle value especially Pela and lil Gui, after I'm done with Xueyi. I'll build Asta Glad you made this video because i believe some don't know how valuable these characters are❤️❤️
Favorite video games series definitely has to be persona and for what 4* to build I'd say lynx bc of the healing and cleanse but every 4* in this game is amazing W video
Dan Heng 4* is fairly decent. My supports for his team is not even built yet and he dishes out 50k dmg per ult. But he is fairly well invested with his 60/140 crit/cdmg

6:52 you forgot one thing about luka: with his traces he can dispel buffs with his skill. coupled that alongside his vulnerability damage amp, he becomes a budget pela for if you don't have her
A lot of people don't recommend hanya, but i honestly feel like she is a budget version of sparkle. and if you don't have sparkle, hanya is a must play on imbibitor or qingque teams.
I've been building aventurine since he came out and so far, he's really fun and basically ensures I never die. As for favorite games, I've been playing through DMC 5 and I have been having a great time with it
Prefarming Aventurine, mostly. Once that's done I'm gonna finish building Misha who needs a Hacker Space glove with SPD on it since that's all I need to activate Glamrock (Yes, that's what I call it), then I finish my Herta upgrade (my favorite 4 star) and then I'm gonna get new diver sets for Hook and Welt In the last month I beat two new games which might be elevated to some of my favorite games, those being Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore and Unicorn Overlord. Arzette is a real, honest to god love letter to the CDI Zelda games, which in and of itself is amazing. But it's also just a solid platformer and collectathon game. Unicorn Overlord is a tactics game in the vein of Ogre Tactics and while light on story it was really fun going through the game, recruiting new units and finding synergies with them. Both are very good and I recommend them
I would put Misha up there aswell as a great 4 star dps character. My favorite game is a toss up between Borderlands 2 and Final Fantasy X. Both are beautifully made to me.
My latest build projects have been Acheron and Welt. I got Welt on Sparkle's banner and now I use all three of them in my premiere team hehe (when I can get away with using Welt over Gepard). As for your list of 4* I think I agree entirely. But with Lynx, you mentioned Blade and mono Quantum but no Clara? 🥲 Also I really hope I'll have a reason to build Xueyi with the slowly emerging break meta. She's still at E4 but hopefully she'll be back on banner soon. I really love how her kit functions and her animations it's just sad that she can't quite compete with QQ for now in most situations...
She's on the Robin banner with Hanya I think and getting Xueyi to e6 allows her follow up attacks to break weakness regardless the enemy and reduce the stack requirements to 6, increasing the fua frequency

hmm I haven't heavily tried guinaifen and sampo together without BS/Kafka, but I have done Ruan Mei + Sampo + Pela in the past lol! Ruan Mei is great for helping with your DoT characters breaking enemies fast
Asta might be a better selection then Sampo, however both could make a feasible team. Asta can apply burn on on top of her attack boost, and her speed boost with the ultimate would allow you to place even more burn dots on the enemy. The way Guin ultimate works is it triggers all burn dots (and arcana if you get Black Swan on rerun) and triggers her own unique debuff that increases damage dealt to the enemies. That includes Asta's burn. A preservation Sustain with Trend of the Universal Market light cone would also allow for more dots. Sampo could work on this team since his Ultimate gives a DOT buff meaning more damage but the windsheer and burn won't be all that compatible. But his ultimate would still be quite useful. In that scenario you would want to give him an energy rope and focus less on his own individual damage and more on enabling more DOT damage for Guin.
Xueyi, next to Welt is one of the hardest characters to build IMO. She needs crit rate, crit damage, attack and break effect. Her lightcone options are also very limited. In addition, she doesnt feel great until E6. She's a late bloomer.
As much as I love Yukong, its not easy to recommend her due to her high learning curve. If ya DO know what you are doing however she can become amazing for a lot of teams.
Gotta go with Sampo , he might not provide a ton of utility on a normal team , but when he is paired with Dr Ratio or Acheron he becomes so much better , debuffs galore with this guy
i got an e4 xueyi when i was pulling during blade's rerun and honestly she is probably my best unit. i have so much fun with her playstyle and i wouldn't have cleared half the content without her. can't wait to e6 her someday
I really recommend Gallagher, he’s super good! He’s the most sp positive healer in the game, since you can do basic into ult into basic, and he heals a ton. He’s also amazing for break teams since he increases the whole team’s break effect, and he’s great for teams that want a debuff like Acheron and Ratio teams. If the enemies are fire weak, he shines even more. Ever since I got him and Aventurine, my Fu Xuan has been benched. I always used her in my DHIL team, but much to my surprise, Gallagher helped me clear the first half in less cycles than I could do with her, because him breaking the minions that delay character turns clutched the run for me. He also had no problem sustaining and was an sp generating machine. And he does it all while being super easy to build. He’s a great character imo, especially if you have his E2
Lil gui is really fun to use and works excellently in alot of nihility teams. Pela and Tingyun have also been really powerful to build. Next 4 Star im building will be Asta and maybe March7.
my recommendations -hanya if you don't have sparkle bc she can regenerate skill points and her ult increases atk and spd for a single ally making her a good f2p option for hypercarry teams -tingyun even if you have really good 5* tingyun is arguably just as good her only drawback is that she doesn't work as well in dual dps comps bc she only buffs a single target but even then she still works if you need her there plus e2 acheron teams can benefit bc you can use tingyun's ult on the other nihility unit (like if you're running pela for example use tingyun's ult on pela) so that you get their ult faster which indirectly helps get acheron's ult faster -pela she's almost completely sp positive she only needs a skill against those disciples of sanctus medicus guys bc those are the only ones where you need to remove buffs (ofc you can also use it to break an enemy's toughness i sometimes do that) and her def shred is almost as much as sw's def shred -asta the video already tells you the reasons i suggest her tbh -any dps you like or you don't have the element covered i'll sushang for example i don't really care for boothill so i won't be pulling for him so sushang will be amazing for me since i don't have physical covered (i do have clara but i like sushang's kit better) and i don't have wind aside from sampo but i prefer guinaifen in my dot team anyway so dan heng will be a great wind dps plus i do like him as a character just apply the same logic to your roster and if you want you can still pull for a 5* later if you like them better -any sustain if you need one really but lynx and gallagher are easily the best 4* sustains but i also recommend march if you like doing su bc she works with so many paths and if you don't have a 5* preservation unit she's still good enough in the harder levels of swarm and g&g (but i'd still recommend bringing a healer to be safe so use a dps and support that can be used with dual sustain easily and preferably can get away with not using skills every single turn since march needs so many)
I have QQ, Pela and TY, all E6 and built, planning to build Xueyi and Gui. (Already E6). I was quite lucky considering I have started in 1.4. Although I have HuoHuo and planning to pull Aventurine tomorrow, I'll still use Lynx (currently E2 :-( ) in team with QQ, sparkle and Xueyi. As for game series my all time favorite is Mass Effect. Just started Legendary edition (again) on PS5.
You should get awarded for bringing up the underrated characters Specially Serval is a must in my opinion as she can do break, direct dmg and dot, all in one. Also Qinque who literally has been slapping since beginning. I personally levelled all these up and yup, it was worth it. Also we called Tingyun hsr benny so yes she is also amazing I levelled up Gui out of liking her but it turned out better than my expectation. Nice suggestions 👑

Favourite game series - Mass Effect trilogy It's really great how many 4* are viable in HSR. I run Acheron with only 4* teammate - Pela, Guinafen and Gallagher, and I have a blast with it! ^_^ I have been working on March 7th recently and I want to update Dan Heng's relics soon. Also slowly thinking about getting back to Natasha, my first healer (so what that I have uninvested E2 Bailu XD)
I started HSR when it first released, left because I failed to get Seele. I knew I should've stuck around because right now I absolutely adore Asta. I adored her back then and I adore her even more so now.
I say for 4 Star Pela and Gallager has been the MVP ever since I got a few of her on the Archeron Banner. I did get Tinyung but I stopped using her since my main DPS is Archeron and just hit Trailblazer level 60. I still hope we get more Preservation 4* but it seems the meta has been typically damage dealers and buffers. Still wish there were some end-game content that is not just a turn 0 game and gives reason for Abundance and Preservation units to exist. FF14 is my favourite game if you are curious. Still to this day has the best story in any media but that's just me. Slow to start but worth the journey.
Hanya should definitely be mentioned for 4-star Harmony units. She may not have Sparkle tier but she does a pretty good job of maintaining the teams skill points. Hanya also provides a strong Atk and Spd buff in her Ultimate for your main DPS plus a nice damage boost for any unit that attacks an enemy with her Burden state placed on them. If you do have Sparkle and Hanya on the same team you can do Unlimited Skill Points Work and can use skill points with reckless abandon. XD Favorite game is a hard one but if I had to choose it'd probably be Kingdom Heart II.
Sushang should have been mentioned, even if she's expensive to build as 4* character. She deals crazy levels of damage with her break bleed / ultimate / skill (often 200k+ at MoC 10-12), but you need her e6 for consistent SPD buffing, Seele's light cone for SPD to damage conversion and similar relics what Xueyi would use. I've played her since the beginning and Ruan Mei & Harmony Trailblazer only make her stronger. Without buffs she's at 45 / 193 Crit R/D, 148 SPD with Atk boots, 160% Break effect but I usually switch relics around for less SPD, more Break or Crit depending what is needed. Other than that, Guinaifen, Pela, Tingyun, Xueyi and Hanya are top tier 4* characters I've built and played since they were added in the game. Also surprisingly Hook has gotten many times stronger with Penacony and new Simulated universe relics. She's pretty good for pure fiction now if you're missing fire characters like I don't have Himeko but e4 Bronya instead...
Pela and Gallagher are phenomenal 4* characters if you have Acheron. I replaced my e0s0 Luocha and Silver Wolf with them, and now my 5*s are warming the bench/MoP team 2 options. [Results may vary when comparing 4* units to 5* units unless it's e6 4* vs e0s0 5*] Tingyun is fantastic for anyone trying to run a hypercarry comp, and can make a huge difference if you can get her Dance x3 and pair her with Bronya. Most hunt or destruction characters will do well with those two powering them up. Also shout out to Herta, who went from one of the worst characters in the game to an all-star in Pure Fiction. Definitely consider building her if you don't have 2 solid PF teams yet (and even if you do, she still might be worth building).
I got a lot of misha eidolons when trying to get black swan. he isn't a bad ice dps and is great for rememberance runs in simuniverse. the consistant freeze without too much effect hit rate investment is nice for focusing on dps stats.
I’ve been building Gallagher and DPS Silver Wolf recently. Managed to finish a 53.5/127.8 tutorial lc + new izumo planar SW with 97% ehr so in battle her cr goes to 65/138 with acheron and I’ve been having a blast with the dual dps setup
Plenty of great 4 stars worth building. My top 10(in no particular order) are: Hanya, Misha, Xueyi, Sushang, Lynx, QingQue, Asta, Luka, Tingyun, and Pela. But my top 3 are def: Tingyun, Misha, and Asta/Hanya.
I’ve been maxing out trace for my units recently because I want to use more units. The current trace grinding is for all my Harmony units and I will have to get 315 Purples, 72 Blues, and 6 Greens. HSR need to up the amount of trace we (the player) get per run.
I highly recommend Herta and Tingyun together. Early game Herta is okay but early leveling doesn't go to waste when new players unlock PF and clear really well.
I do wish there was more 4-star Wind and Imaginary representation. Yukong is our only 4-star Imaginary character, and if there was another one added in, it would still be in last place, only now sharing it with Wind. (Dan Heng and Sampo)
A lot of people sleep on Xuyei it seems. If you have enemies that are weak to quantum she is kind of broken. Gui I have found to be pretty good with her firekiss burn combo and if you have sampo luka and serval those 4 actually make for a descent dot team.
Guinaifen is really good if you intend to use the free Dr Ratio. She can put in three debuffs by herself. I'm also sitting on an E5 Quingque, maybe I should build her. A remnant from spending Jade on Acheron and Sparkle.
I really like Hanya, but sadly she gets overshadowed by the 5* harmonies so hard, although she is like the definition of a hypercarry support. She is super fast, sp positive and she buffs Atk, Speed and Dmg. Especially her Atk and Speed buffs are huge. But sadly all this benefits combined still can't compete against these ridiculously powerful action advances...
I only started playing the game a few days ago, and as of right now im still free to play(and intend on keeping it that way) so build is a strong word, but i recently pulled a 4 star pyro called “hook”. I don’t really know exactly how all the stuff in the game works but with me testing all the characters i have right now i think she is my best. My current team is MC, March 7th, an electro i forget her name but she has a guitar and plays music in that frozen town i forget the name of(my memory is bad, im in that frozen town rn tho), then hook.
I have a question? As someone who is new to star rail so i don’t really know the mechanics, is it ok to have two characters of the same element on one team, or should i try and have my teams have lots of diversity to cover whatever weaknesses the enemies have?
At this point, my recommended priority 4 stars are Pela, Tingyun, Guinaifen, Gallagher and Xueyi. I hear Misha can be a 4 star Jing Liu but I haven't gotten around to building him yet. He's next up though. Needing that ice coverage 🤔
Pela, Tingyun and Asta are the top 3 and I would add Hanya and Yukong for sure. Lynx if Destruction/Preservation Tanks, Gal for Acheron or second healer. Sampo really step up nicely with my Black Swan and he is still E2 but will get him E4 eventually. I didn't build QQ, Serval or Xueyi since already got 4-5/6 elements dps. 😁
I'm fully f2p and i'm JUST building Xueyi (with e2) because I have Lynx e6, Qingque e6 and Sparkle and I want a mono-quantum team like everybody else have lol. ALSO! I am a Gui enjoyer so I recommend her to everyone.
One of my favorite games of all time is definitely Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, that game was such a special experience to me and Im not lying when I say it’s release was more impactful to me than BoTW, it’s truly a masterpiece
I love Street Fighter, been playing the older titles more, haven’t actually gotten any of the newer ones lol. Working on Blade rn because my Black Swan is more suited for pairing with my Kafka and I wanna have a dedicated Wind DPS
After getting Sparkle I started using Qingque and I love her. I was already thinking about building Gui, might do it after getting Serval built, who I started building yesterday, because I'm lacking in the 5* Lightning DPS department and I need one for some enemies. What are ya'll thoughts about Xueyi and Hanya? Some ppl say they are really good, some ppl say they are bad.
Quantum DPS is one I still struggle with. I couldn't get Seele and i heard that QQ wasn't great without her e4. Then Xueyi, while i have her e6, i just don't have good relics for a break DPS unfortunately. I just rely on SW, FX and any other DPS for any quantum enemy :/
The only 4 star DPS built on my account is Xueyi shes so strong i got her maxed except her basic attack, im planning to build wind danheng because im lacking a wind dps and he pairs well with bronya
I've gotten Bronya as my 1st ever 5* in the game from the free wish banner everyone gets in the beggining and she's never left my team more recently I got my hands on Jingliu and her Light cone and I've started debating if I should put Tingyun on the team inplace of Bronya bcuz of the energy regen and buff she gives dps' tho I'm not sure and would appreciate a second opinion from people who know what they're doing when it comes to buffers for certain characters in this game

Honestly ever since I got qingque e6 I've hella preferred her over Seele; not to put two baddies against each other, but I've always had better results from QQ vs Seele
Favorite big game series has gotta be Splatoon. I only started with Splatoon 3 but i always took interest in the series since i was like eight when splatoon 1 cane out. But a small game that i like is Signalis. Its a really cool horror indie game set in space and plays similarly to silent hill or similar horror games fighting zombie like enemies.

@@Cats_n_Stuff Any debuff applied to the enemy. He starts at 40% base chance, and each debuff increases the chance by 20% so 3 debuffs is 100% chance. This can be bleed (physical), shock, burn, windshear, defense down, imprisonment, etc.

But yea this game made me lose my kafka 50/50 twice she never came home sadly... n never gave me Ting Yun for the longest time! I finally have e3 ting yun now n still slowly building her.
Ting Yun is definitely worth it, but the games great with so many 4 star options and they are all too cool for school.

I managed to build Xueyi at 70% Crit rate, 197% Crit damage and 202% Break Effect. All this thanks to S3 Misha's Lightcone that gives Break Effect! If I paired up with Ruan Mei, Xueyi deals 5 star level of damage on par with Dr. Ratio.

I love how relaxing your style is! When it comes to 4* Characters, I think Hanya is heavily slept on. If you don't have Sparkle, and still want to run SP hungry teams, she works great! She also has a pretty decent variety of build options, and can mix-and-match planar sets depending on the team. I've found the 4-pc Messenger Traversing Hackerspace set and some sort of team buff Planar Set like Fleet of the Ageless or Broken Keel to work nicely, if you can match the stat req for them. Also, Hanya boosting the allied target's stats by % of _their own_ stats is great, allowing her to focus on whichever stats you feel works best for the build/team. If you have her, or Eidolons for her and haven't built her just yet, it's worth considering and investing in her!
Recently i built/rebuilt some 4-star characters since they have a huge in-battle value especially Pela and lil Gui, after I'm done with Xueyi. I'll build Asta

Dan Heng 4* is fairly decent. My supports for his team is not even built yet and he dishes out 50k dmg per ult. But he is fairly well invested with his 60/140 crit/cdmg

6:52 you forgot one thing about luka: with his traces he can dispel buffs with his skill. coupled that alongside his vulnerability damage amp, he becomes a budget pela for if you don't have her
A lot of people don't recommend hanya, but i honestly feel like she is a budget version of sparkle. and if you don't have sparkle, hanya is a must play on imbibitor or qingque teams.

I've been building aventurine since he came out and so far, he's really fun and basically ensures I never die. As for favorite games, I've been playing through DMC 5 and I have been having a great time with it
Prefarming Aventurine, mostly. Once that's done I'm gonna finish building Misha who needs a Hacker Space glove with SPD on it since that's all I need to activate Glamrock (Yes, that's what I call it), then I finish my Herta upgrade (my favorite 4 star) and then I'm gonna get new diver sets for Hook and Welt
In the last month I beat two new games which might be elevated to some of my favorite games, those being Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore and Unicorn Overlord. Arzette is a real, honest to god love letter to the CDI Zelda games, which in and of itself is amazing. But it's also just a solid platformer and collectathon game. Unicorn Overlord is a tactics game in the vein of Ogre Tactics and while light on story it was really fun going through the game, recruiting new units and finding synergies with them. Both are very good and I recommend them

My latest build projects have been Acheron and Welt. I got Welt on Sparkle's banner and now I use all three of them in my premiere team hehe (when I can get away with using Welt over Gepard).
As for your list of 4* I think I agree entirely. But with Lynx, you mentioned Blade and mono Quantum but no Clara? 🥲 Also I really hope I'll have a reason to build Xueyi with the slowly emerging break meta. She's still at E4 but hopefully she'll be back on banner soon. I really love how her kit functions and her animations it's just sad that she can't quite compete with QQ for now in most situations...
She's on the Robin banner with Hanya I think and getting Xueyi to e6 allows her follow up attacks to break weakness regardless the enemy and reduce the stack requirements to 6, increasing the fua frequency

hmm I haven't heavily tried guinaifen and sampo together without BS/Kafka, but I have done Ruan Mei + Sampo + Pela in the past lol! Ruan Mei is great for helping with your DoT characters breaking enemies fast
Asta might be a better selection then Sampo, however both could make a feasible team. Asta can apply burn on on top of her attack boost, and her speed boost with the ultimate would allow you to place even more burn dots on the enemy. The way Guin ultimate works is it triggers all burn dots (and arcana if you get Black Swan on rerun) and triggers her own unique debuff that increases damage dealt to the enemies. That includes Asta's burn. A preservation Sustain with Trend of the Universal Market light cone would also allow for more dots. Sampo could work on this team since his Ultimate gives a DOT buff meaning more damage but the windsheer and burn won't be all that compatible. But his ultimate would still be quite useful. In that scenario you would want to give him an energy rope and focus less on his own individual damage and more on enabling more DOT damage for Guin.
Xueyi, next to Welt is one of the hardest characters to build IMO. She needs crit rate, crit damage, attack and break effect. Her lightcone options are also very limited. In addition, she doesnt feel great until E6. She's a late bloomer.

As much as I love Yukong, its not easy to recommend her due to her high learning curve. If ya DO know what you are doing however she can become amazing for a lot of teams.

i got an e4 xueyi when i was pulling during blade's rerun and honestly she is probably my best unit. i have so much fun with her playstyle and i wouldn't have cleared half the content without her. can't wait to e6 her someday
Been pre farming relics for Aventurine. I think I have enough for 4k DEF but lets see once I get him
I really recommend Gallagher, he’s super good! He’s the most sp positive healer in the game, since you can do basic into ult into basic, and he heals a ton. He’s also amazing for break teams since he increases the whole team’s break effect, and he’s great for teams that want a debuff like Acheron and Ratio teams. If the enemies are fire weak, he shines even more.
Ever since I got him and Aventurine, my Fu Xuan has been benched. I always used her in my DHIL team, but much to my surprise, Gallagher helped me clear the first half in less cycles than I could do with her, because him breaking the minions that delay character turns clutched the run for me. He also had no problem sustaining and was an sp generating machine. And he does it all while being super easy to build.
He’s a great character imo, especially if you have his E2
Lil gui is really fun to use and works excellently in alot of nihility teams. Pela and Tingyun have also been really powerful to build. Next 4 Star im building will be Asta and maybe March7.
my recommendations
-hanya if you don't have sparkle bc she can regenerate skill points and her ult increases atk and spd for a single ally making her a good f2p option for hypercarry teams
-tingyun even if you have really good 5* tingyun is arguably just as good her only drawback is that she doesn't work as well in dual dps comps bc she only buffs a single target but even then she still works if you need her there plus e2 acheron teams can benefit bc you can use tingyun's ult on the other nihility unit (like if you're running pela for example use tingyun's ult on pela) so that you get their ult faster which indirectly helps get acheron's ult faster
-pela she's almost completely sp positive she only needs a skill against those disciples of sanctus medicus guys bc those are the only ones where you need to remove buffs (ofc you can also use it to break an enemy's toughness i sometimes do that) and her def shred is almost as much as sw's def shred
-asta the video already tells you the reasons i suggest her tbh
-any dps you like or you don't have the element covered i'll sushang for example i don't really care for boothill so i won't be pulling for him so sushang will be amazing for me since i don't have physical covered (i do have clara but i like sushang's kit better) and i don't have wind aside from sampo but i prefer guinaifen in my dot team anyway so dan heng will be a great wind dps plus i do like him as a character just apply the same logic to your roster and if you want you can still pull for a 5* later if you like them better
-any sustain if you need one really but lynx and gallagher are easily the best 4* sustains but i also recommend march if you like doing su bc she works with so many paths and if you don't have a 5* preservation unit she's still good enough in the harder levels of swarm and g&g (but i'd still recommend bringing a healer to be safe so use a dps and support that can be used with dual sustain easily and preferably can get away with not using skills every single turn since march needs so many)

I have QQ, Pela and TY, all E6 and built, planning to build Xueyi and Gui. (Already E6). I was quite lucky considering I have started in 1.4. Although I have HuoHuo and planning to pull Aventurine tomorrow, I'll still use Lynx (currently E2 :-( ) in team with QQ, sparkle and Xueyi.
As for game series my all time favorite is Mass Effect. Just started Legendary edition (again) on PS5.
Playing Astra: Knights of Veda right now, ITS AMAZING! reminds me of Vanillaware classics and classic beat um ups!

Specially Serval is a must in my opinion as she can do break, direct dmg and dot, all in one.
Also Qinque who literally has been slapping since beginning.
I personally levelled all these up and yup, it was worth it.

I run Acheron with only 4* teammate - Pela, Guinafen and Gallagher, and I have a blast with it! ^_^
I have been working on March 7th recently and I want to update Dan Heng's relics soon. Also slowly thinking about getting back to Natasha, my first healer (so what that I have uninvested E2 Bailu XD)
I started HSR when it first released, left because I failed to get Seele.
I knew I should've stuck around because right now I absolutely adore Asta. I adored her back then and I adore her even more so now.
I say for 4 Star Pela and Gallager has been the MVP ever since I got a few of her on the Archeron Banner. I did get Tinyung but I stopped using her since my main DPS is Archeron and just hit Trailblazer level 60.
I still hope we get more Preservation 4* but it seems the meta has been typically damage dealers and buffers. Still wish there were some end-game content that is not just a turn 0 game and gives reason for Abundance and Preservation units to exist.
FF14 is my favourite game if you are curious. Still to this day has the best story in any media but that's just me. Slow to start but worth the journey.
Hanya should definitely be mentioned for 4-star Harmony units. She may not have Sparkle tier but she does a pretty good job of maintaining the teams skill points. Hanya also provides a strong Atk and Spd buff in her Ultimate for your main DPS plus a nice damage boost for any unit that attacks an enemy with her Burden state placed on them.
If you do have Sparkle and Hanya on the same team you can do Unlimited Skill Points Work and can use skill points with reckless abandon. XD
Favorite game is a hard one but if I had to choose it'd probably be Kingdom Heart II.
Kingdom of amalur and ufo Aftershock are my favourite old games, and regarding starrail - all hail the quantum gremlin.
Sushang should have been mentioned, even if she's expensive to build as 4* character. She deals crazy levels of damage with her break bleed / ultimate / skill (often 200k+ at MoC 10-12), but you need her e6 for consistent SPD buffing, Seele's light cone for SPD to damage conversion and similar relics what Xueyi would use. I've played her since the beginning and Ruan Mei & Harmony Trailblazer only make her stronger. Without buffs she's at 45 / 193 Crit R/D, 148 SPD with Atk boots, 160% Break effect but I usually switch relics around for less SPD, more Break or Crit depending what is needed.
Other than that, Guinaifen, Pela, Tingyun, Xueyi and Hanya are top tier 4* characters I've built and played since they were added in the game.
Also surprisingly Hook has gotten many times stronger with Penacony and new Simulated universe relics. She's pretty good for pure fiction now if you're missing fire characters like I don't have Himeko but e4 Bronya instead...
Pela and Gallagher are phenomenal 4* characters if you have Acheron. I replaced my e0s0 Luocha and Silver Wolf with them, and now my 5*s are warming the bench/MoP team 2 options.
[Results may vary when comparing 4* units to 5* units unless it's e6 4* vs e0s0 5*]
Tingyun is fantastic for anyone trying to run a hypercarry comp, and can make a huge difference if you can get her Dance x3 and pair her with Bronya. Most hunt or destruction characters will do well with those two powering them up.
Also shout out to Herta, who went from one of the worst characters in the game to an all-star in Pure Fiction. Definitely consider building her if you don't have 2 solid PF teams yet (and even if you do, she still might be worth building).
I got a lot of misha eidolons when trying to get black swan. he isn't a bad ice dps and is great for rememberance runs in simuniverse. the consistant freeze without too much effect hit rate investment is nice for focusing on dps stats.

I’ve been building Gallagher and DPS Silver Wolf recently. Managed to finish a 53.5/127.8 tutorial lc + new izumo planar SW with 97% ehr so in battle her cr goes to 65/138 with acheron and I’ve been having a blast with the dual dps setup
Plenty of great 4 stars worth building. My top 10(in no particular order) are:
Hanya, Misha, Xueyi, Sushang, Lynx, QingQue, Asta, Luka, Tingyun, and Pela.
But my top 3 are def: Tingyun, Misha, and Asta/Hanya.
I’ve been maxing out trace for my units recently because I want to use more units. The current trace grinding is for all my Harmony units and I will have to get 315 Purples, 72 Blues, and 6 Greens. HSR need to up the amount of trace we (the player) get per run.
Currently building Dr. Ratio, Clara and Bronya.
I intend to build Gepard, Guinaifen, Pela, Serval, Gallangher, March and Misha
I highly recommend Herta and Tingyun together. Early game Herta is okay but early leveling doesn't go to waste when new players unlock PF and clear really well.
I do wish there was more 4-star Wind and Imaginary representation. Yukong is our only 4-star Imaginary character, and if there was another one added in, it would still be in last place, only now sharing it with Wind. (Dan Heng and Sampo)
A lot of people sleep on Xuyei it seems. If you have enemies that are weak to quantum she is kind of broken. Gui I have found to be pretty good with her firekiss burn combo and if you have sampo luka and serval those 4 actually make for a descent dot team.
Asta carried my Kafka team as support for so long, I'll never forget her
Guinaifen is really good if you intend to use the free Dr Ratio. She can put in three debuffs by herself.
I'm also sitting on an E5 Quingque, maybe I should build her. A remnant from spending Jade on Acheron and Sparkle.
I loved Bulletstorm as a kid. Played it at least twice! I wish there was a sequel!!
One of my comfort games is Final Fantasy 9. Amazing story and it doesn't ramp up in massive difficulty at the end so it never feels like a slog.
I agree with Dan Heng used him before I got Black Swan, a 4 star dps I use a ton is Sushang.
I really like Hanya, but sadly she gets overshadowed by the 5* harmonies so hard, although she is like the definition of a hypercarry support. She is super fast, sp positive and she buffs Atk, Speed and Dmg. Especially her Atk and Speed buffs are huge. But sadly all this benefits combined still can't compete against these ridiculously powerful action advances...
I only started playing the game a few days ago, and as of right now im still free to play(and intend on keeping it that way) so build is a strong word, but i recently pulled a 4 star pyro called “hook”. I don’t really know exactly how all the stuff in the game works but with me testing all the characters i have right now i think she is my best. My current team is MC, March 7th, an electro i forget her name but she has a guitar and plays music in that frozen town i forget the name of(my memory is bad, im in that frozen town rn tho), then hook.
I have a question? As someone who is new to star rail so i don’t really know the mechanics, is it ok to have two characters of the same element on one team, or should i try and have my teams have lots of diversity to cover whatever weaknesses the enemies have?

At this point, my recommended priority 4 stars are Pela, Tingyun, Guinaifen, Gallagher and Xueyi. I hear Misha can be a 4 star Jing Liu but I haven't gotten around to building him yet. He's next up though. Needing that ice coverage 🤔

dont build gallagher when you're not even close to lvl 60, that's where he starts really scaling with high hp hit heals
Quantum DPS is one I still struggle with. I couldn't get Seele and i heard that QQ wasn't great without her e4. Then Xueyi, while i have her e6, i just don't have good relics for a break DPS unfortunately. I just rely on SW, FX and any other DPS for any quantum enemy :/

When I got Clara's 5 star light cone, I made her as Physical DPS tank.

Honestly ever since I got qingque e6 I've hella preferred her over Seele; not to put two baddies against each other, but I've always had better results from QQ vs Seele
Favorite big game series has gotta be Splatoon. I only started with Splatoon 3 but i always took interest in the series since i was like eight when splatoon 1 cane out. But a small game that i like is Signalis. Its a really cool horror indie game set in space and plays similarly to silent hill or similar horror games fighting zombie like enemies.
