Before the full on operation, give the button a few shots of deoxitD5. Just make sure that the device is unplugged, and press the button a few times while spraying. Then let sit a night or two before plugging it back it. I lost count of how many times this stuff has saved me from the time and expense fixing glitchy knobs, buttons, plugs and faders. Once you have no choice but to operate, then ya, order the CDJ buttons off eBay. Every Dj though should have a stash of D5, F5, F100L and the DFG-213 Fader Lube. And don’t forget the Sfw0010 for the 1200s. But at the very minimum the D5, since it’s plastic safe, unlike some plain contact cleaner.
@Tony.Technics.1200s I change my cue button on the right and put it all back together. but now the hot cue, roll, slicer, sampler. 1/2x, 2x, and both perameter buttons dont work. Please advise.
Check the flex cable that connects this board to the main board. If that is good, check your soldering job and make sure there are no soldering issues. You can also take the board and cable from the other side for troubleshooting. Good Luck!
I have a solder kit, and my cue and play also doesn’t work that great at all on my ddj SX but I don’t want to fork up so much money by taking it in for repair. Wish I knew hot to solder properly so I can do this myself. I have a kit to do it but I don’t want to damage it.
I have the ddj-sx (original) and yup...right side play button stuck...i have no soldering skills...however i know about remapping. I mapped the sync button as my play buttton. Who actually uses sync....
The first step starts with troubleshooting to see if the problem is not software related. Test on another computer. Next is the problem with all fx knows or just a particular knob. If it's just one you can order to replace the knob and solder it otherwise if multiple you may have a bigger problem. Gotta inspect the entire board for corrosion, especially around those knows. Good luck.
@@djab203 yea it's not software cuz it works on the DDJ SR.. I think it's hardware routing but it's weird cuz post fader works with rekordbox on the DDJ RR but not with virtual.. probably pioneer being shady again.. trying to lock ppl into using their software that only works with their hardware smh.. that's why I love VDJ compatible with the most hardware.. #ENDTHEDJSegregation
@@DjPositiveP Agreed. Pioneer has been trying to force people to use their software which personally I don't like. I'm an old-school VDJ and Serato user so trying to learn and user RB did not go well.

@SlabAllStarz™️ #ChoppedAndScrewed🎶 I do agree that Pioneer is using poor-quality buttons for a reason. They want the consumer to buy new controllers.
