why would you not want Mercedes to unwrap and fully detail your car for you? all the stickers an tape, on the doors for example, leave a thick nasty residue that the detailers get rid of without a scratch when you buy the car. If im paying that much for an SUV im not going to be the one that washes it thats for sure 😅
Dealerships have to take the plastic and wrappers off to inspect car for any scratches and stains I ordered I scatpack charger and asked the dealer if I could get it as it is shipped from the manufacture but they said they couldn’t do to inspection policy but they offered to put back the plastic bags on the seats

when i worked at a kia dealership i would do the arrival prep so removing the plastic wrap, seat covers, etc. i would always take off everything except the driver floor, and all screen so whenever the vehicle was purchased i didnt have to unnecessarily wipe and potentially scratch the new screens and shiny bits. honestly loved that job besides the salesmen taking credit for cleaning the vehicle which ive overheard sooo many times it was kinda upsetting

I remember that one when it rolled through the line, all 4 times. It rolled through the test line several times. I also did the plastic wrap on the steering wheel and the plastic film on the doors. That one had the techs ready to pull their hair out lol.

I used to work for Audi as a Lot attendant, and we’d get a truck load of cars fully wrapped like the Maybach, that shit was annoying especially in the cold but other than that, I loved working for Audi

It’s apart of the pdi, a technician has to do all this to verify everything works. Without a pdi the vehicle doesn’t get a final okay to be sold
@@gabecamara The dealer would have a 16 year old with a dirty buffing pad "polish" it for you and it would permanently damage the paint.
