Yo Mitch! My parents used to own a hobby shop back when I was wicked small. They used to do tons of stuff with Epoxy. One of those things was making coffee tables but they used marble dust in the mix instead of added colouring. It makes for an unreal looking table cause its actual rock being used. One of which I use on my channel as a work bench. I think this one was used made by my grandpa so its gotta be around 50-60 years old now and still looks awseome. Just an idea you guys might like to use for some higher end builds.
Awesome video and pro tips thrown out! THANK YOU AGAIN for all the work shared!!!
You make it look simple, great work.. I have spent a fortune just practicing and not getting same results you do.. but I am getting there.
Leeds, England 🇬🇧. I love these videos. You guys do some amazing work 👏
I just watched a diyer talk negative about epoxy saying it absorbed stains like carrots and coffee could it be from the brand of resin or how she applied it. I did notice she didn't use alcohol.
Really nice work! I'm currently working on my 4th epoxy project and the 2nd kitchen using your products. Thanks for the inspiration!
I love the looks of this. What do you recommend for cleaning? Is it the same way wether it a shower wall, floor or countertop? I would like to do this in my house. But I can’t find any information on the upkeep of it or what should and shouldn’t be used for cleaning it.
i just want to thank you for being such great artist and sharing what you do, you make me feel like i can accomplish anything if i set my mind to it. I am going to give this countertop ideas that you have a try in my new home. Its seems like you really love what you do and most importantly you have fun. Keep up the great work. I look forward to watching more videos. I just started working with epoxy a few weeks back. I have so many ideas, but still so much to learn.
I have a homeowner with a countertop you can come film, the house is an airbnb right on the sand in Rockaway Beach OR. The kitchen gets ALOT of sun, so some teachable moments? You could stay right at the house! 😁
Would love to see countertops with White base. Grays and Black (or darker grey) for marbling, hints of Blue Earth feathered in with some Diamond dust, with alcohol cellular effects, maybe some foaming, and Blue pearl (in final layer - top coat).
I think I liked B before the black and gray got added, lol!! I think a creamy, champagne, and gold would be lovely although unusual. I don't know if there is marble like that, but I want the champagne creamy tone to hide the potential yellowing.
From Belgium, love your work, you are incredibly person. Thank you for sharing.
You guys are awesome! So thoroughly informative! I’m about to attempt a diy counter top in my lanai 🤞🏼
Got an add at the beginning of the video... a 12min stonecoat ad for a carmel colored pour. My dumbass watched the whole thing and was sitting there like "smdh that aint white marble...." still worth it
Hahahaha I'm cracking up.
what great video for us newbies like me ..Ty Ty TY
Can I use epoxy on floor tiles? If yes please help us with a video. Thanks
My wife and I just bought a place in Grants Pass and we are doing some cheap remodeling...
Do you guys do epoxy pours over fermica?
Do you guys do jobs for local residents?
I WOULD LOVE TO LEARN TO WORK WITH THIS PRODUCT...!!!
So, if I were to do an acrylic painting on my counter top surface, would the Stone Coat react ok with it and work properly? Being a painter, I wanted to do something more, fanciful. I was going to do a small one first of course. Also will large flake glitter or embedments hold up in Stone Coat?
Do you apply the base coat before and if so how long should I wait to pour the colors. Also, do the kits come with the top clear coat or do I buy that separately?
Great show! Hate I missed it. It was the dirty pour growl for me 😂😂😂
Hey Mitch. We just finished our island with this kit. We did the ultimate top coat last night in the gloss finish. We were not a fan of it. It wasn't nearly as glossy and had a orange peel like texture. We ended up sanding it back again and doing another clear coat today. Is that how the top coat is supposed to turn out? I followed the directions to the t.
Thanks-Michelle
how do you finish the underside of the counter that will stick out beyond the cabinets or if you are doing a bar seat section on the counter top? Can you use this to create a waterfall kitchen island with a overhang to sit at? How? Thanks
Great job Mitch!
Could you guys do a burled wood countertop? It would be very interesting.!
What do you call the sample on the wall behind you? What colors are incorporated in it. It is beautiful. I want to do a light color marble look with blues, teals, and earth tones with the poly aspartic top coat with the grit on a foundation basement floor that has a walk out to my yard. Thanks.
Awesome work as always! 👊
Tip: Use water based paint. Epoxy does not mix well with oil based paint.
Could you send video on the link for the making a Base for a shower?
How would this hold up on an outfeed/assembly table or a miter station?
What are you using for your sample boards?
When should I apply top coat?
Hi Amy from Homosassa FL….getting ready to do a Carrara pour in a couple weeks… how many ounces per sq foot? Love the videos! Thanks guys!
Are those spray paints just normal enamal paint
Do you have a video on the design on the wall behind you, or supply list? I have an xl island I want to do that on?
It's possible used this technique on wall ?
We had a third party small business do I counter tops and they did this about 2 years ago and now the epoxy has thinned out and now you see the MDF boards natural color coming through. How do I fix them and start with a primer base and new epoxy finish?
How long do I wait before I start making veins on my countertops is it like 20 minutes or 30 minutes
Can you add black or white cell activator? And if you can what kind of activator?
when you was doing the carrara marble how did you make the boards under the table speck coating
Ребята, привет из России! Я вас обожаю! Вы гениальны! Удачи!
🤝
I am covering tile walls. How would you fix the board to the walls?
I also have wallpaper. How would I attach the MF board to this wall?
Can I make faux tiles too and use them to cover my fireplace bricks? How would I attach board to brick? IS it heat resistant for the outside walls and floor borders?
Can I stamp paint over material for custom designs? I ❤️ European tiles for fireplaces but near impossible to find here.
Thank you.
I would like to know more about the application of epoxi.
what thickness is the resin?
Great job!
Would you cut out the sink hole first for over the top sinks
Can you epoxy over stained wood
For installed countertops, how do you do the backsplash part that's on the wall? Thanks!
I wish there was a product you could use to sidestep the sanding and all the dust in the house.
Its called a vacuum cleaner, you can pick up orbital sanders for about $100 and most have a dust outlet that you can attach a vacuum cleaner too and it is super effective.
I need to know if you can do a cast iron tub over 50 years old? If so how can I order it?
how can i protect from it yellow over the times any product to protect that
Hi. Can you recommend someone that is skilled at using your products in the Nashville, TN area? Someone that can do a marble finish on a concrete countertop. Thank you in advance.
Will this epoxy works for shower floors?
I ordered the Carrara kit but I don’t see these products in the kit. I sent you guys an email. I can’t wait to try it
Can I use acetone or thinners instead of alcohol? Thanks
The alchohol is just to make colors move away to the edges of the alchohol.
@@cyndigreenwood3272 Thanks Cindy, so I can use acetone?
I love your content!

Hey Mitch how about a trip to beautiful SW Pennsylvania I have 2 kitchens with no drip edges 😊
Can I do this over my dark granite countertop? I don’t want to replace them to get the look of marble 😢
Yes
I would look at thier videos for tile to see what they use for adhesion on shiny surfaces.
Go Mitch!
How to do the effect behind you

How did you do the background?
the back ground is multiple pieces of rigid foam tapped together on the back. it's a great way to do your shower walls and/or wall panels.
@@brycefaulkner8793 Thank you so much! Do I need to prime the foam pieces?
you have several terms for the same procedures So, Im not sure what exactly is the process? Bottom coat Is this the Primer part? Under coat is under the table or counter? Top coat, is this the color coat or the the last coat for sealing and or shine and is it needed?
Florida
I done a shower and a counter top, I wish I could send you a picture but I don’t know how.
You're supposed to be doing a white Carrera, marble? Why do you keep on messing it up with dark colors
West Texas
Perth WESTERN AUSTRALIA
I keep missing your lives. When is the next one.
Love the lives
Don't mix up your water cup with clear epoxy cups.... I can see myself doing that.
Dallas!
What happened to the better camera?
I love what you do but I’m a bit of a chicken😂
🎉
Oklahoma
I'm looking at the prices of your product here in Australia and it's probably better to buy real marble that can last thousands of years rather than epoxy over timber. It probably has advantages for home use but commercial use I can't see it viable.
I really don’t like the look of the alcohol. I think it just ruins the peace. The problem with it is almost all of them he does it with alcohol and I keep trying to show them to customers I haven’t found one person that likes it and all of my clients yet.
I have sprayed mine with spray paint then hit it with the alcohol and it looks exactly like real quartz or real igneous stone. So beautiful in person!!
Fla.
Good job but you waste so much epoxy.
Very bad camera
Thanks for the feedback, I'll try and improve.
