I really liked this choreography! Finally some dancers who use the whole stange and DANCING, not only showing how flexible they are. The only thing I noticed: when they run, they are taking really small steps. I personally learned that when i run, i have to take really big steps :)
if abby was in the audience she'd be like "OMG I will never come back to these competition where dancers are so amazing and emotional because all I want is win"
I get what people are saying about not seeing much emotion from the girl in white. She didn’t seem to connect with the feelings in the song, but the girl in black made me cry
I like this dance. It really proves that you don’t have to be world class, do a bunch of backflips, or have perfect technique to be a true dancer. If you pour your heart into a story you can captivate any audience just by dancing in your own way❤️
Their dancing is beautiful but they need to point their feet when they aren’t flexing them. They can’t just let them hang there like they do in their leaps and kicks.
Kyra Lee i agree with this so much. i was often questioning wether they were supposed to be flexed or not. usually you can tell but i also felt like they were flexed wayyy too much
Hazel Sadie yes contemporary is not a technical style, but in competitions, they still score you on your technique even if you are doing contemporary. And you can't be sloppy too
Well Done! Beautiful girls for everyone hating stop because its so hard being up on stage in front of hundreds maybe thousands of people and they may not be very confident in themselves so great job xxx
It just looks like they are going through the movements and not putting very much thought into the actual message that would be expanded to great lengths if they would have brought a different presence to the piece. The dance on the other hand was fine I just feel if they improved their technique and was not so spastic with their movement it would excelled
Honestly it doesn’t look like there trying at all there not connecting or emotionally there it’s not perfection but it’s not terrible but any comp I’ve ever gone to it would have lost
I don’t understand why people say the girl in the white is not portraying enough emotion...I can see the longing in her face as she try’s to connect with the girl in the black....this is a beautiful duet.
I joined guard/dance because one of my closest friends does it (and has for about 6 years meanwhile I have for 2) and during high school when I started she was ALWAYS a beautifully strong and positive force in my life. Well, we went off to college, as you do, and recently she’s been struggling mentally. A lot. It hurts me deeply that I can’t just casually drive with her to a gym or stage and create some simple routine to a song we both enjoy. I’ve always had a connection to this song, but now it’s even more relevant because to me it means a friend helping a friend, and that’s where I’m at right now. I 100% will try and preform this with Sami, even if we have to learn it separately. Stay strong everyone, you always have someone even if they’re 5 hours away 💕
If I was a judge I would have said work on technique and show more emotion in your face and movements, connect with the song, connect with the storyline and the dance and connect with each other, show emotion and tell the story a bit more, amazing dance though and I loved how you used the whole stage and actually danced whereas some people tell the story too much but don’t actually dance, you really showed how much talent you have and portrayed the whole thing very well, very good flexibility and variation in moves and you showed that in the dance very well, you work well together and you can tell you can trust each other, very in sync with each other and just generally very good
WHAT IS WITH ALL THESE NEGATIVE COMMENTS??? THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST CONTEMPORARY DANCES I'VE SEEN IN A LONG TIME! Have you girls considered auditioning for the TV show, "World of Dance?" PLEASE AUDITION YOU GIRLS WOULD BE SPENDID IN THE SHOW
@@jannahsophea their legs were constantly bent, they couldn't even get a full split in their extensions and jumps, plus they jumped way too little... Not to hate (I'm just being honest) but their technique is just terrible
having flexed feet is a choice. They were good dancers but you could tell in some instances that the foot was not pointed unintentionally. It's just a technical detail. Other than that they were all right.
Yes but if youre a dancer you also notice when your feet should be pointed . As in that leap they did, their toes should have been pointed. You dont flex your feet in a jete
What a lovely dance, you girls should be so happy with what you achieved. I feel as though as dancers you were not evenly match when it comes to technique, but you fixed that with the different roles you where given and the parts when you did the same geography at different times. Would have loved to see more emotion but what you delivered was a solid performance. Congratulations to the both of you.
They are beautiful dancers, and they were in sync in some parts, but I felt no emotion coming from the girl in white. PLUS She messed up. To me this whole entire dance was very sloppy and not calculated properly. They just looked like they were running around on stage.
Emotions is the hardest thing to do, I’m a dancer and there are two reasons why I find it hard. The first being concentrations on choreography usually makes you forget to do it, and I feel stupid making “faces”. Just some people find emotions a lot harder than others
I choreographed a dance to this song for my lyrical class and not gonna lie I fell like my 13 year old ass choreography was better than there teacher's
Ag_sparkles not everyone is good at turns they may have flat feet which makes it 1000x harder I know because I have flat feet and my feet stick to the ground in lyrical class
It would be better if they put in emotion. The girl in black told the story well, you just couldn’t see the emotion/story from the girl in white. The dance was still beautiful though
The music is about needing a friend in the hardest moment in life... So I guess the Black is the person who needs help and the White is the friend that shows up, for exemple, in the momento White hold Black back when she is running probaly means Black was going to do something really bad with someone (or even herself) and White didn't let her go, because she's her friend and friends care about each other... Sorry for my English :)
I love it, if only they showed more emotion and if you can really tell they where trying and omg, POINTED TOES!!! It would be 100 times better but I still loved it 🥰
The choreography was good but they need to work on their technique like straighten their legs and pointing their toes in their jumps. Of course sometime they should use flexed feet but not every time.
I’m currently working on a duet to this song and when I found this I was in shock (in a good way)! We just started learning it but I’ve learned some things we could improve on ourselves by watching this!
I really liked this choreography! Finally some dancers who use the whole stange and DANCING, not only showing how flexible they are. The only thing I noticed: when they run, they are taking really small steps. I personally learned that when i run, i have to take really big steps :)
Ina El also depends how they run you to run
True true I feel like in this dance bigger steps would have added something to the piece
In some dances you have to run small
A Thing and pointed feet
Yeah dancing with awful tecnique and lack of emotion
if abby was in the audience she’d be like “TURN THOSE FEET OUT” “DON’T SICKLE”
"LEARN TO RELIVE"
GET HIGHER ON YOUR RELEVÈ POINT THOSE TOES GET THAT LEG HIGHER
And she would be like straighten your legs.
instablaster...
if abby was in the audience she'd be like "OMG I will never come back to these competition where dancers are so amazing and emotional because all I want is win"
I get what people are saying about not seeing much emotion from the girl in white. She didn’t seem to connect with the feelings in the song, but the girl in black made me cry
Taylor Equestrian U it was the opposite for me
Ok
The only thing I would say is that I wish I could see more emotion then this would be 100 times better
I like this dance. It really proves that you don’t have to be world class, do a bunch of backflips, or have perfect technique to be a true dancer. If you pour your heart into a story you can captivate any audience just by dancing in your own way❤️
The girl in the black showed amazing emotion, the girl in the White didn’t seem to connect with the song, so she had like no emotion.
What, I thought I saw a lot of emotion from her.
I agree
and like no rhythm at the beginning
Their dancing is beautiful but they need to point their feet when they aren’t flexing them. They can’t just let them hang there like they do in their leaps and kicks.
Kyra Lee i agree with this so much. i was often questioning wether they were supposed to be flexed or not. usually you can tell but i also felt like they were flexed wayyy too much
That’s the style duh
Hazel Sadie yes contemporary is not a technical style, but in competitions, they still score you on your technique even if you are doing contemporary. And you can't be sloppy too
I needed more feeling in this dance. These lyrics are so powerful. I didn’t feel that from this
THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFULL THING THAT I SEE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!
Obviously you haven't seen a lot of dances
Wow!!! This was amazing, you both did a really good job actually portraying what the song is about and matching the music.
They both did great and are amazing dancers and im not gonna say anything else because I think they did their best!
my favourite duet in the whole world!
That's beautiful
I love this song since I saw that video. I really love the dancers and the choreography!
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL
Beautiful! Love the choreography🙏🏼
They are so talented 💙
Amazing!!! Love it !!! Makes me wish I was still dancing! ❤️❤️
This is amazing choreography!
1:22 gave me goosebumps...

Well Done! Beautiful girls for everyone hating stop because its so hard being up on stage in front of hundreds maybe thousands of people and they may not be very confident in themselves so great job xxx
Aimee Lou it’s not hate it’s feedback and it’s not that hard to get on stage
Ok screw the hate comments. I love this duet
i so agree
Same!
Keshya Mumford they’re not hate comments, it’s constructive criticism, in this industry you get given it all the time, it’s how we improve.
Rebecca Howard some are constructive criticism some are hate.
Golden Girls ALDC no they’re not
This is absolutely amazing girls! xx
this was beautiful :)
It just looks like they are going through the movements and not putting very much thought into the actual message that would be expanded to great lengths if they would have brought a different presence to the piece. The dance on the other hand was fine I just feel if they improved their technique and was not so spastic with their movement it would excelled
This is so beautiful and emotional
I’m sorry but is nobody gonna talk about the energy or technic🤷🏻♀️
Aryanna Reed yeah but that doesn’t mean they can’t receive constructive criticism
@Aryanna Reed exactly, other comments are
But this one is not
Aryanna Reed they look about 18
Shae Justice omg yess the girl in the white would not extend her arms this dance had so much potential but it was just too sloppy
Honestly it doesn’t look like there trying at all there not connecting or emotionally there it’s not perfection but it’s not terrible but any comp I’ve ever gone to it would have lost
Unknown Name i agree, theyre so small with their motions, and i saw absolutely no emotion and barely any rhythm
lol cried after twenty seconds. i've really felt lost for so long.
aww i love this you both danced like mirrors brilliant piece
Very talented . Congratulations .☺️☺️☺️🇨🇵 Long live the culture
This is amazing. You’s are amazing

It's amazing
I don’t understand why people say the girl in the white is not portraying enough emotion...I can see the longing in her face as she try’s to connect with the girl in the black....this is a beautiful duet.
they mean she looks blank.

So lovely and passionate
Súper hermoso!🥰
Fue perfecto!! Hermosas😍
I think could be great if they were trying this with really emotions
Awesome dance

Wow! Super powerful and touching, I was moved to tears 💜
Goose bumps
WHAT IS WITH ALL THESE NEGATIVE COMMENTS??? THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST CONTEMPORARY DANCES I'VE SEEN IN A LONG TIME! Have you girls considered auditioning for the TV show, "World of Dance?" PLEASE AUDITION YOU GIRLS WOULD BE SPENDID IN THE SHOW
The flexed feet was choreographed in they wouldn’t have flexed if it wasn’t
1:06 - 1:08 girl in white but that’s the only mistake I found
@@jannahsophea their legs were constantly bent, they couldn't even get a full split in their extensions and jumps, plus they jumped way too little... Not to hate (I'm just being honest) but their technique is just terrible
22nd Pilot well it’s not like they are trying to be professional dancers
Watch this dance with the song "Get Home" by Bastille. It's almost perfect.
Does anyone has some tips to do the jump at 2:16 ? I'd like to do it but I'm scared to hurt myself
Anyone else IMMEDIATELY knew this song was in cyber bully?? Just me...👌
The thumbnail did the white dress girl dirty 😂
Great dance !! I was wondering how you got the permission to use the song because I want to use it in one of my videos :)
Perfeita a dança
For anyone saying point your toes it’s called FLEXED feet😂😂honestly your not a dancer if you don’t know this x
having flexed feet is a choice. They were good dancers but you could tell in some instances that the foot was not pointed unintentionally. It's just a technical detail. Other than that they were all right.
I agree but the should’ve put emotion into it
Yes but if youre a dancer you also notice when your feet should be pointed . As in that leap they did, their toes should have been pointed. You dont flex your feet in a jete
Mahaliah Angel I agree with the jete, at least they had the bravery to get up on stage x
Maybe some ballet training would help more x
0:06 are the feet supposed to be sickled??? 😭
What a lovely dance, you girls should be so happy with what you achieved. I feel as though as dancers you were not evenly match when it comes to technique, but you fixed that with the different roles you where given and the parts when you did the same geography at different times. Bella Leigh mkjhhii89 p p
Bella Leigh I agree
this sounds like an asmr
Omg
This is beautiful! What's with all the hate people?
¿Cómo fue que recién puedo encontrarlas?
There good
I would die if Maddie Ziegler from Dance Moms danced to this song
IS THIS DANCE MOM IM SO CONFUSED
katherine dimaggio no it's not, it's just a duet from some competition
Without looking carefully I thought it was kallani and chloe from dance mom's but anyway this is soo good well done xx
I choreographed a dance to this song for my lyrical class and not gonna lie I fell like my 13 year old ass choreography was better than there teacher's
😍
okay so no ones talking about the turns?
Ag_sparkles not everyone is good at turns they may have flat feet which makes it 1000x harder I know because I have flat feet and my feet stick to the ground in lyrical class
this makes me think of cat from dance academy
It’s very good but seemed choppy at some parts rather than flowing with the music
The girl in black looks like she hasn’t been dancing MUCH longer than the one in white
Is his Cloe from dance moms (sorry my if I spelled that wrong) love this duet
Sophie Cauble no she isnt
.........OUCH
It would be better if they put in emotion. The girl in black told the story well, you just couldn’t see the emotion/story from the girl in white. The dance was still beautiful though
Algún mexicano viendo está maravilla?
I don't no why but u look like maya and riley in the girl meets 😁 but u're good dancer congrulation for that u're awesome
The choreography is fine. They look so impassive. As dancers being impassive is disaster
whats the story line
what do the black and white dresses represent?
Alexis Deirdre Black swan and white swan i go there
Alexis Deirdre I’m not sure. Maybe Black is representing the sadness the person feels and the white is the tiny peice of hope that is left
Thank you for all the replies they’re great, I love how everyone interprets it differently.
Yeh i agree
Are they new to dance?
And They may have there
Faults but dosent everyone no ones perfect xx
Does anyone know where their costumes are from? x
Is the girl in the black dress riley from girl meets world
No
I feel like towards the end some parts made them feel rushed and so they turned out kind of messy
Does anyone know what the jump was called at 1:10 ?
Calipso
You can tell the girl in the black has more technique then the girl in the white
IS THIS AT THE RIVERSIDE THETERE??????
