- Hey everyone, a quick heads up - I haven't bought a sneaker in 4 months and just got my hands on the New Balance Aimé Leon Dore BB 650 RG1 release. I've been looking forward to this shoe and I have to say, I'm really disappointed. In this sneaker review, I share my first impressions of the shoe and how it stacks up against my other picks.
If you're looking for a sneaker to add to your collection, you might want to skip over the Aimé Leon Dore BB 650 RG1. In terms of craftsmanship and materials I think it's a really disappointing release from New Balance that falls short of many of their other shoes.

nothing wrong with venting your frustration. everyone wants a quality experience for their money. especially at full price. like you said, it's just a shoe so doesn't matter much. but still annoying. and one being longer... thats crazy to me.
thank you! I've had it a couple of times that shoes are slightly different lengths. Then again, I'm super nerdy and other people probably wouldn't either notice or care haha

that sucks to hear brother . yes these are close to the aj 4 sb both done what a year and half to 2 years out before they actually released. crazy to see that so close in everything both release around same time great alternative for anyone wanting this colorway. that mesh is a sick touch. love that it helps with the breathability . i know about the thin cut of leather like yeah it's full grain but really come on . great to see you brother. Naimm picked up the UNC colorway of these its a great summer sneaker ✊️🙏
Thanks man! This was a pair that really perked my interest and without the different lengths and creasy toebox I may have kept them. The colorway and details are really sick, I'm glad Naimm got a pair that's working for him!

Absolutely, if they ever go on sale I might grab them again but for now I'm happy with the one 650 I already got
Thank you for posting this. I have wanted to buy a new pair of NB since my first pair of 990 v5s. But being in Europe i didnt want to have to go back nack and forth with shipping and sizing for returns. I think i will skip these and search for another winter or summer shoe. (I also love this touch of green)
NB ships from Europe and return is free. They're not bad when you get a decent pair, but they're not 170€ good 😊

absolutely! They definitely are on my radar but haven't bought one yet. I think I really do need to try one :)
