  • We may think to pressure test a freshly built engine but how about performing this quick task before you start stripping the old engine down? It can help diagnose issues and give an early warning of things that may be about to go wrong.
    This video is the first in a series of videos where we use this donor engine and build a brand new Pinasco 251 engine. The features will appear on ScooterLab and the full engine build videos will be on our TH-cam channel.

    I used to have a Suzuki GT500 2T twin that in hindsight probably had an air leak from failed crank seals. It had good acceleration but stuttered at speed and meant I never got a good top end speed, which probably was a good thing. It's an ill wind that blows no good.

      It turns out that it was on the crankshaft, do not disparuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu at all :)
