My 58 vespa vb1 seems to have very low compression? Do you know what it should be? I think maybe my head isn't seating correct on the cylinder? What's the best remedy? Probably to have it machined? Or is there a gasket? -Thanks
Pretty weird video, in that most people are concerned with whether their compression is too low, not too high. The hero also has not mentioned ANY of the possible causes of compression that is "too high," 'though he might easily have done so. Not a very helpful video actually.
So what happened? That high compression sounds like a good engine to me.

Compression on a VB1 is probably around 115 if everything is perfect. Otherwise, anything below 95 is a sign that something needs attention.
