Adam Howden still rocks his performance in Future Redeemed, but I feel Shintaro Asanuma did a better job at making a vocal distinction between teen Shulk and older Shulk.

Xenoblade just wouldn't be Xenoblade without British accents!

The incoherent and soulless British accent in the English dub is insufferable........the Japanese dialogue flows so naturally to the game and it feels more impactful by a billion miles.

@@shadowgl9 The first game had charm to it. I know this is weeaboo blasphemy, but the English versions of Shulk, Dunban, and Mumkhar performed better than their Japanese counterparts! I'm not saying that they're bad, it's just that their English counterparts knocked it out of the park, especially Tim Watson as Mumkhar.

@@perrygrimwood4901 You're objectively wrong, Perry. Xenoblade Chronicles X was localized with American voice actors. There was Caitlin Glass as Elma, Cassandra Lee Morris as Lin, Matthew Mercer as Lao, and many others.

Xenoblade never really got an English dub as good as the original game. Shulk is the only one where I prefer English

2:29 the difference between jap and eng is too noticeable for these moments, so I'm glad to have the option to stick with japanese voices.
At least is not an abysmal gap like in Xeno 2. Surprisingly I still found X1 to have the best english dub in the series

i agree for 2:29 the japanese is better than the english one
but i think that it is the only moment in the trailer where the japanese voices are better than english ones so i'm glad there are english voices

because a side character has a different line read? Both versions have different ups and downs. Choosing specifics like this is really stupid and a little weeby

@@kayden2119 what I like the most about these game is the plot, secondly gameplay, OST and so on...
That's just an example from the trailer, at that point who knows what else did they change to more important lines.
Besides I don't know japanese but after watching so much anime you know what means the MOST used lines, and they repeat them a lot in games and anime, even in these games.
There have been a lot of times for me playing Xeno where I've been able to say "they 100% made up those lines ". To the point where my opinion on some characters are likeable only with the original Jap meaning

To be honest as someone who can understand japanese and english (my understanding of english its not perfect but i can understand it) i can't understand how people can praise the xenoblade english dub so much because for me it sounds really bad, sometimes cringe, emotionless etc its not that i hate everything english related, I've heard genuinely good english voice acting but I wouldn't say xenoblade is one of them.

I mean there are a lot of good English voice acting in X1, X2 and X3, but yeah I agree this DLC doesn't hit those highs

I don't understand japanese, and use subtitles but ive played bits of the game in both languages and it's not even close. Noah jp dub sounded annoying at first but you can hear him gasping for breath when he's tired fighting or shouting, it makes a huge difference in the overall scene

huh, i think the english dub is amazing, especially for 3. i mean i really enjoy the different accents, it adds so much flavor, i tried playing it in japanese dub and i couldn’t do it, it just didn’t sound right

@@aylinilya. its only because you're not used to hearing them differently, but just a few hours in and you become accustomed to it. Japanese version also has accents you can kinda hear it, obviously tough for non japanese speaker, but the voice modulation gasps and acting in emotional scenes just sounds so much better like the characters are actually about to cry, the English voice cast for this has had no experience in voice acting before this and they just don't do that good of a job in any emotional moments

i feel that the english has more charm than the japanese for me, i’m no voice acting expert but if the voice acting i’m listening to can give life to these characters and make me connect, then i think they did a wonderful job, also to the people criticizing the english voice acting being “too stale” you try doing it…
