Binkbeats is an artist from the Netherlands whose covers of current artists such as Baths, Amon Tobin and Flying Lotus have gotten him accolades online. They're not just your ordinary cover - he performs them live in one take, with his ultimate aim being to hunt down the songs' sounds as closely as possible; and he consistently succeeds in putting his own creative spin on them.
We first heard of him when Kutmah played his cover of Erykah Badu/Madlib on a Boiler Room set - it was such an individual rendition that it made us instantly curious - it took us a little bit of online digging ( • BINKBEATS Beats Unrave... ) to find out what the track was. We linked up with his manager, chatted away and a natural partnership blossomed.
A couple of months later, we headed down to Utrecht where we got a chance to experience Binks' renditions in front of us live as well as talk to him about his fascinating sound discovery and selection process. For his next video, he's covering Shigeto's "Ringleader"

which software did you use to record loops and the session??? and how is your connection?? i mean...the mics goes to mixer then what??? tks
he uses ableton live and it looks like he is just looping it on to the pads of his "akai lpd8 drum pad" and in ableton he most likely has it so he can clip launch the recordings
