      The Trent 700 looks like a hairdryer and to be honest, I love it and I think the A340 series should have 4 Trent 700 hairdryer engines rather than those stupid cfm56-5c hairdryer engines because at least the Trent 700 actually have power. Although to be honest the Airbus a340-300 is basically an a330-300 but with 4 engines slightly different wings and 1 extra landing gear but the fuselage is exactly the same as the fuselage of an Airbus a330-300 so there's no point in having 4 Trent 700 engines on the same exact size fuselage when 2 engines do the job just fine and burn less fuel in the process and just 2 Trent 700 engines produce more power than all 4 cfm56-5c engines on the a340 but for the 500 and 600 series the rent 700 engines would look good because the Trent 500 engines look too big for such a skinny single-level aircraft and correct me if I'm wrong but the thrust output of the Trent 700 and Trent 500 doesn't differ that much, in my opinion, they should have 4 Trent 700 "hairdryers" on the airbus a340-500 and a340-600 models. Like I said earlier the a340-200 and 300 are pointless and unnecessary because there are basically a330s with 4 engines rather than 2. That's my little rant about what I would of done if I was Airbus

    The trent 700 is closer in design to the RB211. Though the 7000 uses mostly the same core technology as the 700, the increased fan diameter on the 7000 reduces the ‘buzz saw’ noise you hear at takeoff. The 700 fan is only slightly larger than a rb211-324HT

    It’s not always easy to identify an engine just by its sound as how much power the engine uses on takeoff will dramatically change how the engine sounds, plus different cameras have different quality audio so the engine may sound different on different recordings.

      All good points, yet from the ground I find it easy to discern them. Living about 12 miles from KSEA, I could always tell when a BA B744 was climbing out overhead; the sound from its RB211-524G/H engines was distinctive. These days I can easily tell when an A350-941 is climbing overhead, as its RR Trent XWB engines have a unique sound, which is a gorgeous, throaty growl. Same for AA's KSEA-EGLL flight operated with 777-223ER aircraft (Trent 892 engines). I've loved Rolls-Royce turbofan music for decades. :)

    Trent 700 for life! 💪💪💪

  • @GreyBearcub
    @GreyBearcub 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    The Trent 7000 probably sound lame in this take off probably due to a derated take off thrust setting. Jet engines show their true sound potential at full thrust, but remember that the Trent 7000 delivers mores thrust than the Trent, and has a bypass ratio double of the Trent 700. Thus, to save fuel and lengthen the durability of the engines, pilots try most of the times to use derated take off thrust if the situation allows it. If you hear 03:05 for some seconds and compare the sounds in minute 03:25, you can listen that the Trent 7000 increases thrust and by 03:35 it has that particular buzzsaw or roaring sound typical of the Trent engines.

    Why does the Trent 700 spool up to takeoff power so slowly? Any specially modified ECU or something?

    • @FueltoNoiseGenerator
      @FueltoNoiseGenerator  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe the pilots justs did not push the thrust levers forward to the TO/GA position very fast. Since the flight was way below the maximum range, there was more than enough runway length for a safe take-off even without applying full thrust immediately. By increasing thrust while the A/C is already rolling the risk of a compressor stall is reduced due to the ram air effect in the engine intake. I hope that was understandable. At least that’s my 2 cents ;)

      @@garyzhang5099 Really? I think it is some specially programmed ECU. Because PW and GE powered A330s never automatically spool up to takeoff power gradually like RR powered ones do.

    • @abdullaharif6455
      @abdullaharif6455 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FueltoNoiseGenerator I recently found out that the Trent 700 has a unique feature called MAESTO (Modified Engine Acceleration Schedule For Takeoff). It always slowly increases thrust to takeoff power in order to minimize the risk of fan stall. This is still a weird tendency of the Trent 700!

    the 7000 is so quiet, it feels unsettling because when i board an a330-343/243 i expect to hear the beautiful ROAR of the engine, now when i board a 900/800 it feels like im listening to a fridge, its like trying to compare the sound of a mercedes AMG GT with a tesla model Y, there is no comparison, the merceds would win all the way, however for cruising i think the 7000 takes the cake because sometimes the 700 can be very loud and i know some people dont really like that when tryna sleep
