Thank you, that's very kind of you to say! I've had bad luck with plumbing in the past, and still definitely don't feel like an expert, but I've been lucky to learn from lots of other generous TH-camrs, and it did go very well!
Isn't it wonderful the sweet things we find! You certainly won't regret saving that old tub, can't wait to see how it turns out! Glad your plumbing turned out good!
Hello Everyone! Beautiful words at intro Jack and so very true! We're like worker bees, whose life span is short because that's their task to keep the colony going... But, we are of a higher life form; full of love and memories! Perhaps we need to learn from the worker bees!
I could of used that cupboard you threw out the window in my garage for tools or in my art studio for fabric. Must be nice to be in France and so carefree on materials. Could you do a video recycling old stuff into other things like shelfs or even the smaller ones into a doll house for a kid. I Sold one for 1000.00 USD It was a kitchen corner cabinet that I got for Free!
We are huge on recycling and upcycling, our whole home is furnished with second hand everything, absolutely love it. We are sourcing everything we can thats going into this renovation secondhand (furniture, kitchen etc...). Jack apologises for not making it clear the condition of the cupboard in the video, because you're not the first to be horrified! Between Jack and I we are big hoarders but unfortunately for everyone the cupboard was in really bad condition and had been ruined by wood eating bugs, such a shame for this particular piece. And yes! I'm planning a big thrift shopping video, tips for how to find good stuff and what to look for buying secondhand furniture in France, thanks for the tip!
Every time I see you throwing things out the window….. it brings a smile to my face and love the surprise and grin on your face when something works. …. Brilliant a truly authentic man 👏👏👏

Lmao, I’m literally just watching you guys right now, and without using French french, I’m gobsmacked you’ve answered so quickly. Cheers guys. lol love it. 🥰
I'm not sure what you plan to use on your bathtub, but I have been watching Elysia English restore her tuba, and she ended up using marine paint. It looks amazing.
Excited to see a new vid! And yes, REAL renovation is a series of small steps that ends in BIG results. Your tub-- now that you got it all sanded, does that mean you have to paint it immediately so the exposed metal doesn't easily rust?
Yep, lots and lots of small steps! It was actually only half painted on the bottom, most of what I took off was rust 😅 But yes, we've got a kit ready to re-paint it all soon.
We were just talking about Phillip! He cracks us up 😂 Cheers for the tip (wish we'd checked his vid sooner, we definitely went into the bath a bit blind)
Oh no really? 🙈 It's quite broken on the back and inside (before I threw it out ), and the wood is in really bad shape, but I never would have thought it was worth much to anyone. It won't fit down the stairs so I had no choice. Not sure how it got up there to be honest 🤷♂️
Hi! Too bad the note is difficult to read, but it says 'For you my love. Yes, Santa has come this year. I Love you. *can't read the last sentence* signed, Santa.'
haha currently my main project is keeping our two year old alive 😅 I definitely have plans for the garden, especially the potager, that's always been more me. I come out of my shell with the sunshine!

What a relief to have water in the bathroom. XX
I love that you called it a bathroom! 🤣 It does feel like it's getting there now.
Isn't it wonderful the sweet things we find! You certainly won't regret saving that old tub, can't wait to see how it turns out! Glad your plumbing turned out good!
I know, it was such a nice surprise! I can only imagine what an adorable couple they were. Here's to Pierre and Maud!

Thanks Keri! 🙏🙏☺☺
Love how surprised and thrilled you are when something turns out right! You got this.
😂 Yeah my previous plumbing hasn't gone quite so well, so this was a real joy how smoothly it went.
And thanks 💪

Gosh, your filming of throwing the cupboard out is just genius 🙌😅 you must do a video sometime of your filming skills 🙌🥰
Haha glad you enjoyed that, it was a lot of fun to film! And yes I really do want to! When I can find some time 🤪
Oh my goodness. You guys are delightful. I've enjoyed your videos but the Super Mario plumber comment...the best.
😂 Glad you got a laugh out of it! Cheers for the comment. ❤️

I watched late this arvo, Phillip from How to renovate a Chateau, redo/renew an old bath, have a look see, for future reference. Can’t hurt.

We pay big money in U.S. for those lockers.
Ha! I was cringing too when he THREW IT OUT THE WINDOW! 😳
