I have finished books for two classes and started 5 more. Reading is definitely going a bit chaotic this month, but I'm enjoying it!
I love your strawberry sweater! ❤❤❤
Ending with Momos face? Great artistic choice. 10/10. No comments.
I will let Momo know!
G have you thought about writing a book about the magical readathon world and your character? I would read it, I think it would be an amazing fantasy book/series.
Can’t say that I haven’t thought about it 👀
@@BookRoast IF you want to explore that idea any further... you may have a fan and readathon participant who is a writing consultant/editor/ghostwriter 😏💕
I read the title and was IMMEDIATELY like “RACHEL PRICE! RACHEL PRICE!”
I just started reading it yesterday and I’m really enjoying it!
G I am going to read the reappearance of Rachel Price too. The first time I watched your video I skipped over your predictions. I decided to cave and watch the predictions part even though I still have not read the book yet.
I've read both I Who Have Never Known Men and The Anomaly and liked both! The first one was an instant 5-star read and one of my favourite speculative books of all time now.
I am SO excited to read it!!!!
i who have never known men is such a special book! i absolutely loved it
I dont usually read speculative fiction but I tried "I Who Have Never Known Men" last year (its nice to try outside your comfort zone sometimes). I was shaken. It was really good. Not a fun read by any means - but a worthy read. I had to give it 5 stars and I am picky with giving out those! (I consider it sci-fi.) I haven't finished a book yet, but I think I will finish Daughter of the Moon Goddess tonight!
I'm very intrigued by it!
I skipped over the spoilery parts (for now) where you were talking about Rachel Price since I'm currently reading it but I'm so excited to go back and hear your thoughts on it! also omg those Patreon spronts will forever be embedded in my brain 😂
Hahhaha we shant forget those
First time joining Magical Readathon and I already finished 1 book for Artificery prompt! I Who have never known men was my favourite book of January and I don't think anything else I read after was better. And it is not even my cup of tea :D
Oooh yay so happy you're doing well and that you decided to join us this time! 🥰
Hervé Le Tellier is french and won a very well known award in France !! I haven't read it yet but I'm really looking forward to know your thoughts !
I’m super intrigued, the premise is right up My alley!
I have not read the three you bought, but surprise surprise, I want to read them all 😂 I who have never known men is dystopian!
Noiiiiice! Peeps said it has some sci fi elements too so I’m extra hyped
Amazing video. I had a good time watching it. 💕💕
I'm so excited to watch this!
Thank youuu 🥹
I'm glad your reading is going well so far! Fingers crossed there isn't any slumping on the horizon 🤞
One can hope!
If you can match I who have never known man to a prompt, do it! Read it last year and it left me like this 🤯🤯 Theres definitely a sci-fi element to it but also other genres.
I will absolutely try!
Oof, only just reading my first read of this month. But did just order a slippy hoodie! 😊
Ooh what is your first read? Also hope you'll enjoy the hoodie and it'll bring some laughs! :D
I DNF'd "Shades of Grey" too, for the same reasons. I never picked it up again, not now that the sequel has come out. But I loved Fforde's Thursday Next series.
Veryyyy interesting to hear!
me: "hmmmm i probably won't read the reappearance of rachel price because i didn't really like five survive"
also me: IMMEDIATLEY ORDERS THE BOOK WHEN G SAID SHE IS READING IT
😂😂 hope you’ll enjoy it!!
You made some great progress on your first week! This has been my first time joining a readathon, and it has been such a fun time 😍 the community in the Discord server is just great, and I am so excited to study and become a Dreamwalker! I've finished 3 books in my first week by pushing myself a bit (too) hard, so I'm gonna take it a little easier this week. I've started on the guild book club pick (A Fate Inked in Blood), and while it isn't super enthralling, it is proving to be an easy read at least :) curious to see where it will go.
I'm so so glad to hear you're having a great time!!
Can't wait to see what you think about your new books. I've not read any of them and they are normaly not my prefered genere but you got me very curious about them so I'm counting on you to tell me about them later 😊 Unfortunately I heaven't been feeling well and haven't. started reading for the readathon yet 😢 But hopefully soon!
Hope you feel better soon! 💜
I love Sparrow and I hated I who have never known men. 😄 You might like it, though, just by going in with different expectation than me. It´s mainly a thought experiment.
It's been a Hot minutes since I read Shades of Grey...but think it's like 1984 meets Fahrenheit 451 with of course that quirky Fford style of writing.
Again, really think that you would enjoy his Thursday Next series if you're enjoying his writing...just saying 😉!
You're not the first to say this sooooo perhaps likely? 👀

Spoilery thoughts on Rachel Price:

-I was also a bit thrown by how quickly Carter turned against her mother at the end, but I think it was heavily implied that Sherry (not sure if that's the correct spelling, I read the audiobook) knew or suspected that Carter was Rachel's daughter because they had similar features? So therefore we can assume that Sherry knew that the grandpa did something to Rachel (since he gave them the baby) and just never went to the police with her suspicions. So that makes her a bad person and everything they did to her at the end was fine. I guess? I wasn't super clear, but that was my takeaway.

I agree! I can also find ways to tryyyy and make sense of it but I still can't get over the fact that she still cared for her and lived her whole life with Sherry as the mother and it all gets undone soooo quickly. Thing about love is that if someone does something terrible the love doesn't just end super quickly, it's very conflicting and i just wish we saw more of that conflict! especially from a teen ya know? but i agree!
@BookRoast Totally! I think what you said in the video was true. It all happened at the very end of the book, and the author probably didn't feel like there was enough time to explore that conflict. Especially since it wasn't Carter's story. I agree I would have liked to have seen it too. Especially since you can do a really bad thing but still love someone deeply. Sherry wasn't evil. Just very selfish, I think.
I have a question if anyone can help me
So for the prompt circle on the cover could I do like the letter o if it's in the title
Like I would like to do Petals on the Wind but does it count
Hi. Is there still a discord server?
