    Hi all, really appreciate all the comments but I'd just like to say if I've not replied to any comments it's due to an issue I'm having with TH-cam. I have received a notification but can't see or reply to the comments, sorry but do appreciate the feedback 👍

    It all started off so well, great weather and looked like extreme drought when you look at the water level. The Michelin man gear looked warm enough and all seemed to be going well with the time-lapse but man, that sounded rough! Yep, how did they get it so wrong indeed, I always lol when they give a long range forecast when they cannot get a few hours ahead right. On a positive note, it will have helped the water level, cheers Alan

    Hiya Phil. I've just subscribed to your channel. Got your link from Alan (Metalman) from your comments on his last video of the Coledale Horseshoe. Just enjoyed watching this video you did a couple of months back. Great stuff. I did the same walk back in April and you brought back some great memories. You got some great views over Blea Water Tarn, Haweswater and the surrounding area. Shame the weather went pear shaped but hey it didn't spoil an excellent video. Oh by the way I like your bottle holder What make is it? I always end up having to take my pack off to get to mine. Cheers David

    Alryt Phil, I did this exact route a few months back after watching your video mate. It is an absolute killer with a pack on like you say, I just wanted to run down the mountain and jump into bleawater while I was lookin at it as it was a proper warm day. Just a question for ya , it is really steep in places this on the last final bit and a bit of scrambling is involved. I'm not the best with heights but I do like pushing myself with ppl around me. Do you reckon after doing this striding edge would be a good step up for me?? P.s love your videos pal , I wouldn't of found out about half the places I've now been if it wasn't for your videos. Cheers mate Scott.

    • @R6PhilOutdoorEnthusiast
      @R6PhilOutdoorEnthusiast  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hiya Scott, thanks very much mate, means a lot. The reason I make the videos is for me to look back on and hopefully help other so feedback like this is perfect. If you do d this route striding edge should be fine for you, I’ve done it three times now and I s not as hard as people make out. The two hardest parts are the climb down the chimney and the scramble up to the top, pretty sure you can bypass the chimney but it’s not hard just needs a bit of care and attention. The scramble up is just about picking a good line, three points of contact etc. Enjoy and just take your time 👍 ATB Phil

      @@R6PhilOutdoorEnthusiast Thanks for the reply Phil, I remember driving down past Haweswater and my mate caught first glimpse of the rigg and said jesus look at that , I said yer thats what we are going up😅(your fault😅) cheers for the advice on striding edge, everything you mentioned are the things I've thought about and will do. Look forward to your next video pal👍ATB.
