When heated oxygen sensors fail, it is NOT when its cold. The ceramic element changes resistsnce ad it heats up. Old sensors heater element becomes weak with age, does not change linerally with the others. Heated O2 sensor monitor ready test will be imcomplete, or fail. Unplug the O2 sensor from chassis, clips leads from multimeter to heater wire pins, start car and warm up. Take note of what it measured cold, and what it meadures when vehicle is warmed up. Do this for all O2 sensors. If anys value is 5% more ir kess than others, it will fail the monitor test.
Those he tested as signal wires are in fact heater wires that should be small amount between 3-12 ohms. Other two blue /gray wired are single wires that need to test voltage in car with engine running or removed from car and need external heater to test it's functionality. With ohm test you will just get indefinite homes.
I check both bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor 1 and only the bank 2 sensor 1 is not getting any reading on the multimeter. Bank 1 sensor 1 is getting multimeter reading. So most likely it will be a bad o2 sensor on bank 2 sensor 1 right? That sensor is also called air fuel ratio sensor right? They look the same as o2 sensor but they work diffrently?
My harness wires are all different colors.. ( blk, brwn, green, red) they don't match the new o2 sensors which has the 2 black wires.. how do I connect or test ..?
No BS, just how to do it, without the long BS story. SUPER GOOD JOB. Thank You brother.
Welcome brother
My thoughts exactly. "Just the facts mam".
Great and straight to the point and no annoying music. I wish everyone would post like this. Thanks
simple and to the point. thanks man.
Thank you

Good! I will check my car sensor soon. keep it up. Short and clear presentation. Thank you.
wrong, 2 black wires are not signal wires, its for Heater circuit, the other two wires are for O2 sensor output signal.
Thanks for this clarification. I have been confused on the 2 black wires. Don't they have polarity or they can be connected interchangeably
@@SoonQie they don't usually have polarities
Hi sir thanks for clarifying but where exactly we able to know and test which of those wire? Please help
Hey mate they are heater wires, not computer circuit!
Heater is still broken, needs to be changed
Excellent demonstrations!
Thank you for making a straight forward video!
Welcome ☺️
The two black wires are the wires of the heating element
Yes
Good test.!! All you really need to know is what you demonstrated. And as long as it has voltage going it....you've pretty much covered everything.
Thank you brother
@@carhospital of course....it's good info...and great test
What if it's 1 blue wire 1 black wire and 2 white wires....which ones do I test?
Normally the two same wire is heater and the different color is signal

Thank you brother for such a simple video..
Zenkyu Sir I am replace all ny sensor right now 👍👍👍👍👍😃
Super brother
Thanks 😊

True. Just looked at Denso O2 sensor diagram and it confirms that 2 black wires are related to heater.
Yeah he confused the phuc out of me.
A big help 👍👍👍 new subscriber here more car sensor content
Thank you brother
I will check this on my car! You make it simple to check
I check both bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor 1 and only the bank 2 sensor 1 is not getting any reading on the multimeter. Bank 1 sensor 1 is getting multimeter reading. Sar good luck ❤❤❤
Good video.how to check red, black, grey and white wire sensor?
Thanks
Amazing👍😍😍😍
Hii
Hlw
best of luck
My O2 Sensor also not providing Continuity.
Thanks. Love from Pakistan.
I don't know brother
So if you get 3.3 ohms is that good? On the 2 black wires?
Thanks for simple explanation liked and subbed
Welcome 🥰🥰
My harness wires are all different colors.. ( blk, brwn, green, red) they don't match the new o2 sensors which has the 2 black wires.. how do I connect or test ..?
Accent 2005 have 2white colour, 1black 1 grey, which colour to test?
you are just testing heating part of the sensor not sensor itself. Problem with your checking doesnt count if the cables (to the heater) are broken.
Which two wires will show continuity in Santro Xing 2008 model?
Why to chek it but we have chek engine light on the cars to do
it for us
Your 2 black wires are for the heater of oxygène sesor. not for signal
Two blacks are heating circuit. If there isn't no tone, no ohm, the heating circuit is broken.
Thanks man. Pretty simple.
And pretty wrong.
You are testing the heater. Blue and white wire is the o2.
What is the resistance of the heater and resistance of signal wires?
black wires are for the heater element,,, not signal wires...
what is normal resistance value for Denso sensor?
My o2 sensor read at multimeter at 18.3 ohm is that normal or that is broken o2 sensor??
What if the white wire has a slight tear with a few of the inside wires handing out?
Then you should replace it if any of the wire is exposed don't take the chance just replace it
200 watt?
How to check which O2 sensor is not working. In scanner it's showing code p0420
What if the reading is 15.9 and it has contuinty It is good or bad ?
That mens good
@@carhospital okie but the scanner point that o2 sensor heater 1 detects cause of check engine
Can the 2 black wire be connected interchangeably?
yes
its the heater wire so polarity doesn't matter
Thank you!
What about 5 wires..how to test?
Reading Value of sensor on multimeter is in volts / ohms? 🙏
Ohm's
Thankfully
There is no resistance but when i put it on the fire there is resistance 🥲 how?
Thanks
How to test sensor oxygen 206 tu3 a
I wish all o2 sensor was all like this when faults triggered
Yeah, yeah, but that's just the heater. You aren't testing the O2 sensor in use. The heater can be good, and the O2 sensor bad.
❤
Thanks you
Black wires are not signal but rather heater element
thank you
Welcome brother
What if my sensor is reading a low signal like 0.05?
If it is less than 0.1 sensor is bad
No resistance so you essentially have a short.
if you read 0.05 on scanner you may have lean condition, if your read on sensor 2 which is located after cat, then you may have heavy exhaust leak
Wrong, black wires are for heater element.
Don't have continuity check on my cheap meter!
I use ohms setting for continuity
This boy said silencer sensor 💀🤣
Hi
Hello
Wrong video 2 black wire is heater
WHAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you cheat from another video😅
aray hindi mai he bolte. Enlish Language ki ma behan karwadi
Rubbish. This alone cannot detect faulty sensor. Need to measure the voltage as well while operating
This is straight up incorrect
Totally wrong
wrong
Backwards
Very bad
You don't know everything about Oxygen sensor i.e. Lambda sensor
Thank you
Welcome
Thank you
