Hello. I have a question about that “supplement” that you made for your rats toward the end of the video. So I’m unable to open TikTok as my phone is getting old and TikTok doesn’t work. If possible, could you provide more info about what it is and how to make it? Maybe even posting the TikTok onto TH-cam if possible? You don’t need to, of course, it would be really helpful though. Thanks! The video was very helpful.
7:18 The video is too long to upload on youtube as a short(i think, if its short enough I’ll post here too) but its a pretty simple recipe i was using for my old men to keep their weight up: Recipe for healthy weight gain mix Yields: Enough for 8 rats for a week Feed: around a spoonful a day/every other day depending on rat appetite. Good to do 1/2 spoon morning 1/2 spoon at night 1 egg 1/2 cup quick oats 1/2 teaspoon olive oil 1/8 of an avocado, diced into small pieces 1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips (5 is all you need imo) 3 drops of echinacea extract, if desired for immune support Cook egg in olive oil and scramble, do not add seasoning. Prepare oats with straight hot water and soak until mushy. While it is still warm, add echinacea extract and chocolate chips to the mix and stir well. Add avocado and egg. Is good for up to a week in the fridge/a month in the freezer
@@RatRandomness Thanks so much! This is perfect as my boys are old and I’m worried that two of them are going to become underweight as they’ve had some issues gaining weight in the past. Also, your channel is incredible and has helped me tremendously. Keep up the great work!
@@RatRandomness All of your DIY rat toy videos are incredible, and you are so talented and creative. I’d love to see more dollar store finds for ratties. As well as your “free roam 2.0” video. I’d love to see more free range videos, for inspiration and for entertainment! I love watching rats play around.❤️
Nice video..but I thought corn was very dangerous for rats. Am I wrong? I want to make my own food for my daughter's rats and I could swear I saw corn on the no no list.
@@substance1232 No problem! You can always leave corn out too. No where says you have to use it! The facebook group i mentioned in my first video about making a mix, has massive lists of things you can include. I would hight recommend watching that one too: What is the BEST Rat food? (Mix vs Kibble) th-cam.com/video/z8eLXTS7684/w-d-xo.html
You don't seem to mention expiration dates. It's important to know how long opened packages of foods will keep. I know the nutritional value of dog, cat, horse, pig, chicken and goat feeds degrade over time, so buying more than you would use in 3 months could be wasting money.
That's a good point! I wish I could edit older videos to mention stuff like that. But youtube won't let us unfortunately. I will have to mention it if it comes up again!

I added cucumber and squash since i had that on hand

Corn processed for animal consumption is dangerous within the US. But this is human popping corn so perfectly safe!
@@RatRandomness fantastic u are amazing thank you.
