i agree with you but i have almost ptsd of not finding hermes boots, in my main playthrough i decided to never go loot from another worlds, doing a 100% on 1 world, i literally didnt find an hermes boots until literally AFTER HARMODE, you dont wanna know the lengths of tryharding i went through to make it there without the extra velocity, an example of that is that i killed the wall of flesh after making a minecart rail across the entire map on hell. pain, but it was one of my most memorable times in terraria

I just recently crafted the Soul of Eternity (after struggling real hard on Abominationn and Mutant on my shit ass PC), and I'm never doing this again. Eternity mode really represents the time you need to spend to get this thing. And oh yeah my PC crashed right after equipping it lmao, that's the hardest item to get in modded Terraria for you
And the boots in the direct recipe are actually an UPHRADE to an upgrade for Terraspark, being the Aeolus Boots. They go into the Supersonic Soul, then into the Soul of Dimensions, and finally into the Soul of Eternity.

I remember back then if you didnt get certain prehardmode items you need before going into hardmode, you’d have to go to another world just to get them since shopkeepers wont sell that item anymore. You'd think it would be crafting hell, but by the time you even get the Crucible Of The Cosmos, you usually have half of every enchantment, and all the resources necessary to make the heart of the master, from there it's either a fetch quest or a grind of every master.
I always farm champions for the forces, I usually only make the earth and sole force, about the other items like the souls my biggest problems are the crafting recipes that ask for fishing shit
having played Fargos soul mod I can say that the worst part of getting the should of eternity is in fact the the bionomic cluster ORR the trawler should as you need most of the fishing rods to get it, but getting the rest is semi easy as most of it is from boss drops which you can use with others to make the items
The most interesting: Fargo souls have platinum and iron enchantments, that gives 20% for x5 drop and 33% to every item in craft don't be consumed. And this chances will become higher to 33% and 50% when they in combo with other enchantments!
Thing is that if you add Calamity and a few other mods (Thorium I think) IT GETS MORE EXPENSIVE as now it needs even more accessories this time from Calamity and Thorium bosses and itemz
i have made this thing in 2 seperate playthroughs with the calamity dlc added onto it, making it require a whole lot more items to it as you had to create more enchantments, and thus forces, for calamity + some side content.
The funny thing is that on version 1.3, you can also add calamity, thorium, shadow of abbadon and dragon ball mod, and then the items for crafting required about 1300+, if I’m not mistaken. One day I will finally do it... One day...
Soul of Eternity is still longer, also if you add calamity overhaul soul of eternity will need Infinite catalyst and boss rush rock to craft, also the DLC doesn't add the forces and souls from other mods yet so yeah, old Fargo's DLC used to increase the crafting recipe by adding things from Thorium, Calamity, Dragon ball mod and shadowns of abbadon
as someone who has crafted it without cheats, it isn't that bad. because of champions the terraria soul will take 1 hour max unless your playing masochist mode or suck at the game. the rest of the items are dropped from bosses and event bosses or mini bosses or just random rare enemies like doctor bones. class souls aren't that bad just get a bunch of weapons too.
Not really, the champions imo are easy even on Masochist, Eridanus is the only one that takes a few more attempts, I usually take around 10 attempts max at each champion
Important to note for anyone who wants to attempt making this: the soul of the master is crafted using boss drops exclusive to master mode (as implied by the name I’d think) so this will NOT be an easy recipe to finish. The power you gain from it is well worth the effort though! It trivializes almost the entire game from beyond that point, but you’d have to have beaten everything to begin with so it’s more a trophy to display your dominance than a power boost
Fargo mod adds certain Mechanic to remove RNG from the Crafting. Trophy and Banners can be used to craft rare items, thanks to this, I made the souls of eternity thrice, its really fun! Make sure yo check deviant, as she sell items spawn rare enemies too! It is not painful to farm at least with Fargo addition.
This only took me about a day to get because you get everything throughout your playthrough so really you can craft it right after mutant also that’s the old crafting tree it’s longer now lol
i went through this process 3 times each time i hated fighting the mutant at the end, the worst experience was when you had to get a painting from every biome or trying to find that one rare butterfly just to make a early game enchantment but the best was the pre 1.4 holy enchantment where it just upgraded the silver enchantment which gave you a holy blade to auto attack near by enemies (also fossil enchantment carries)
out of all the times i've played with fargo's, i have only gotten the soul of eternity ONCE, usually i just get the soul of terraria because i can summon every champion and just do a little bit of grinding for every enchant and force

Don't forget, you need eternal energy, which you can only get from eternity mode mutant, who as a quick overview: Has three phases A limited boss arena Final phase attacks take max HP Applies the god slayer debuff which ignores defense and deals stupid damage Last attack is a giant fucking laser that stops you from moving while hit + Just fucking stopping time, the laser removes 5 max HP every hit, it hits over 100 times per second(No changing framerate doesn't stop this) the attack lasts for a long time, so long that I haven't beaten it, and for reference I've beaten Calamity Infernum, whip only, no armor and I've beaten nameless deity with the same ruleset Infact, eternity mode mutant solo's Nameless Deity
as an eternity embracer yea no this is easy lmao in base fargos, the champions make like 70% of the crafting not needed if you just farm them, and soul of the master is agiven if you play eternity mode, and if you're diligent you'll basically already have it by the time you beat mutant
I found it easy to craft It's a must-craft item so you just make sure to craft what you can as you progress. The sub crafts themselves are OP and WILL help you progress, so it's not painful to grind the pieces since you need them anyways if you want to progress
when you do an actual play through of the mod the item is a lot more reasonable. It’s essentially a culmination of all the shit you have already been crafting into one item. The forces will be a lot of farming but if you are doing a longer play through with friends it can be feasible. Also you can purchase any already crafted items from the squirrel. So anything one of you gets can be given to everyone.
before the latest tmod update, the old recipe required 5 mods or more (including the dragonball mod necessary for the saiyan soul). Me and my friends got 60% of the way thru before the server was not capable of running anymore due to the amount of items, spawns, and random bs going on

Im gonna be honest, i installed this mod like two weeks ago and i already have soul of dimension and soul of terraria. People are complaining that this is a mod for only the best players but trust me once you start playing its really easy. For me the hardest part is angler enchantment, only that
I remember in 2022; I played this with plenty of other big content mods, first it was thorium, second it was shadows of abaddon, and third was Calamity. I did also add Fargo's mod DLC, which expanded the SOE crafting tre even MORE, because with each of the mods, you have one single "culmination" (souls) and then they combine together in the crafting recipe. Yes, while it was a pain in the ass to gather all of the items, to wait for drops with a probability under the two digits, let me tell you the most unbelievable part of this, i'll admit that it was fun, i spent my time building and using the cool new blocks and doing some miscelaneous stuff while i made my way to the top, in the end it all took 1800+ hours on Steam (And even more when i was offline) and i would do it again, if my PC wasn't burn crisp right now
With calamity, which adds crafting for most accesoires and magical storage crafting interface most things are very fast to craft. Just throw everything you pick up into the magical storage and you have all the materials ready whenever you need them. I got the ankh shield in 10 min
As someone who actually built this mess of an item my advice is to use the "Sigil of Champions" to summon ceirtain bosses (the campions) in their respective areas since they drop enchantments which combine to the bosses respective forces which combined with abominable energy create the sould of Terraria which is 1/5 of the sould of eternity (that being the easiest one to get IMO). Good luck to any mad people out there, remember to just progress through the game naturally first but don't trash anything, most of those ingredients come as you go through the game. To make it easier to keep track of everything I'd advise the magic storage mod btw, otherwise you'll need a whole lotta chests and things get messy.
I’d say if it weren’t for the champions soul of terraria would be more of a nuisance, half of it due to the obscure painting you need for like a third of the essences
So basically I'm a complete idiot for getting all the required items at every stage of progression, organising all of them in a huge chest array and then realising I could've just got all the enchantments from champions after beating Moon Lord. Well at least crafting all the class souls, utility souls and forces immediately after Moon Lord was satisfying enough to make up for the ~40 hours I spent (it wasn't)
Fargo makes everything from vanila more accessible, like making almost everything craftable, so crafting it is a little less scary that it seems. Ethernity mode items and new rare mob drops are compensating for it.
There are specific bosses to get most of the items, however crafting it from the begining is like starting an entire journey that feels like hell. You basically have to get every item and use it in crafting.
i'm playing fargo's souls with calamity RIGHT NOW, and you are giving me so much dread right now. I was going for the soul of eternity before I fight supreme calamitas, and I knew it was bad but holy shit.
Me and my friends played multiplayer modded with the fargo mods and we actually managed to obtain the soul of eternity and it's safe to say we will likely never play with that mod again
back in the day the soul of infinity required also the soul of the tyrant and thorium soul if you had callamity and/or thorium, plus the forces from each mod armors and tons of super rare drops from those mods like yahrim's crystal or apotheosis to craft them
I’m currently in the process of making it, just one of the SMALLER items he lists can take hours to craft, such as the collosus soul, which needs the ankh shield, or trawler soul, which needs shell phone and golden fishing pole it’s been made easier through some QOL mods, such as luiafk and magic storage, but I still have over 100 hours in my playthrough with the only goal being to craft the soul of eternity
that's why i always have qol mods with fargo, higher spawnrates with luiafk's ultimate battler make farming dropables easier, imksushi's tokkens help with some items and i think fargo does this itself, but you can craft specific items from treasure bags and crates instead of opening them and relying on rng
If you add the calamity mod with that it makes it longer, but quick tip adding the list with the calamity items isn't worth it, it'll actually reduce the amount of damage you deal
love the fat crafting tree, its a little fun thing i get to do while progressing through bosses, kinda like playing an idle game while doing your homework
it took me three days to make the soul of eternity, after i finally managed to get to the point of making it, it required all the enchants, made from every armor set, and then the souls of the heros, then the ability souls, and one of them required the terra prisma, and then i had to play through masochism mode, and nearly lost my mind, 10/10 wouldnt play again, but i reccomend it
i like getting all the items i can get in a progression stage so that i dont have to get them later, theyre also pretty damn good especially the fossil force which just gives you two lives
I've played Fargo's with calamity and thorium which adds even more steps to the recipes and I got as far as the Soul of Terraria, before I became burnt out.
I stopped bothering with Fargosmod when the accessories started doing visual effects that made everything around me hard to see. It took away a lot of my joy with the game. Then couple that with the endgame items causes your mere existence to pretty much beat the game.

when you do an actual play through of the mod the item is a lot more reasonable. It’s essentially a culmination of all the shit you have already been crafting into one item. The forces will be a lot of farming but if you are doing a longer play through with friends it can be feasible. Also you can purchase any already crafted items from the squirrel. So anything one of you gets can be given to everyone.
before the latest tmod update, the old recipe required 5 mods or more (including the dragonball mod necessary for the saiyan soul). Me and my friends got 60% of the way thru before the server was not capable of running anymore due to the amount of items, spawns, and random bs going on

fargo's mod might be the best mod of any game i've ever played. it tickles me just right, love collecting and combining items in this game.

Im gonna be honest, i installed this mod like two weeks ago and i already have soul of dimension and soul of terraria. People are complaining that this is a mod for only the best players but trust me once you start playing its really easy. For me the hardest part is angler enchantment, only that
I remember in 2022; I played this with plenty of other big content mods, first it was thorium, second it was shadows of abaddon, and third was Calamity.
I did also add Fargo's mod DLC, which expanded the SOE crafting tre even MORE, because with each of the mods, you have one single "culmination" (souls) and then they combine together in the crafting recipe.
Yes, while it was a pain in the ass to gather all of the items, to wait for drops with a probability under the two digits, let me tell you the most unbelievable part of this, i'll admit that it was fun, i spent my time building and using the cool new blocks and doing some miscelaneous stuff while i made my way to the top, in the end it all took 1800+ hours on Steam (And even more when i was offline) and i would do it again, if my PC wasn't burn crisp right now
With calamity, which adds crafting for most accesoires and magical storage crafting interface most things are very fast to craft. Just throw everything you pick up into the magical storage and you have all the materials ready whenever you need them. I got the ankh shield in 10 min
As someone who actually built this mess of an item my advice is to use the "Sigil of Champions" to summon ceirtain bosses (the campions) in their respective areas since they drop enchantments which combine to the bosses respective forces which combined with abominable energy create the sould of Terraria which is 1/5 of the sould of eternity (that being the easiest one to get IMO).
Good luck to any mad people out there, remember to just progress through the game naturally first but don't trash anything, most of those ingredients come as you go through the game.
To make it easier to keep track of everything I'd advise the magic storage mod btw, otherwise you'll need a whole lotta chests and things get messy.
I’d say if it weren’t for the champions soul of terraria would be more of a nuisance, half of it due to the obscure painting you need for like a third of the essences

So basically I'm a complete idiot for getting all the required items at every stage of progression, organising all of them in a huge chest array and then realising I could've just got all the enchantments from champions after beating Moon Lord. Well at least crafting all the class souls, utility souls and forces immediately after Moon Lord was satisfying enough to make up for the ~40 hours I spent (it wasn't)

Fargo makes everything from vanila more accessible, like making almost everything craftable, so crafting it is a little less scary that it seems.
Ethernity mode items and new rare mob drops are compensating for it.
Crafting souls is one of the single most painful things to do, especially in eternity mode
Don't forget that in 1.3, you also had to do this with thorium and calamity enchantments, and a couple of other mods I don't remember

There are specific bosses to get most of the items, however crafting it from the begining is like starting an entire journey that feels like hell. You basically have to get every item and use it in crafting.
i'm playing fargo's souls with calamity RIGHT NOW, and you are giving me so much dread right now. I was going for the soul of eternity before I fight supreme calamitas, and I knew it was bad but holy shit.
i made it once and the bosses that drop the elements are so time saving
Me and my friends played multiplayer modded with the fargo mods and we actually managed to obtain the soul of eternity and it's safe to say we will likely never play with that mod again
back in the day the soul of infinity required also the soul of the tyrant and thorium soul if you had callamity and/or thorium, plus the forces from each mod armors and tons of super rare drops from those mods like yahrim's crystal or apotheosis to craft them

I’m currently in the process of making it, just one of the SMALLER items he lists can take hours to craft, such as the collosus soul, which needs the ankh shield, or trawler soul, which needs shell phone and golden fishing pole
it’s been made easier through some QOL mods, such as luiafk and magic storage, but I still have over 100 hours in my playthrough with the only goal being to craft the soul of eternity
that's why i always have qol mods with fargo, higher spawnrates with luiafk's ultimate battler make farming dropables easier, imksushi's tokkens help with some items and i think fargo does this itself, but you can craft specific items from treasure bags and crates instead of opening them and relying on rng
Fargo's mutant mod is all the qol you need imo
If you add the calamity mod with that it makes it longer, but quick tip adding the list with the calamity items isn't worth it, it'll actually reduce the amount of damage you deal
Soul of Eternity is basically when you try to make a friend tree of Minecraft TH-camrs' friends' friends
I made the soul before, and the worst part was that some of the earlier recipes require specific fish and paintings
love the fat crafting tree, its a little fun thing i get to do while progressing through bosses, kinda like playing an idle game while doing your homework
it took me three days to make the soul of eternity, after i finally managed to get to the point of making it, it required all the enchants, made from every armor set, and then the souls of the heros, then the ability souls, and one of them required the terra prisma, and then i had to play through masochism mode, and nearly lost my mind, 10/10 wouldnt play again, but i reccomend it
Took me like 2 weeks to finish Eternity and get that item only to see that I'd become the bullet hell for the bosses

I've played Fargo's with calamity and thorium which adds even more steps to the recipes and I got as far as the Soul of Terraria, before I became burnt out.
I stopped bothering with Fargosmod when the accessories started doing visual effects that made everything around me hard to see. It took away a lot of my joy with the game. Then couple that with the endgame items causes your mere existence to pretty much beat the game.
Then you use these items to craft the soul of dementia.... Then you use these items to craft the soul of dementia.... Then you use these items to craft the soul of dementia....
Now combine calamity and thorium, boosts the crafting tree by like 2x
