Hi Louise. I've just recently come across your teachings and art and all I can express right now is my gratitude to you for sharing your wisdom with us. Only last night I was asking myself "how do I find my voice if I enjoy different kinds of art".
I know I love exploring abstract/intuitional acrylic abstract, but I also love working on highly textured canvasses, and because I battle to keep my paintings minimalist but love the concept of minimalist abstract, I have tried and love pushing myself out of my comfort zone into more minimalistic, Wabi Sabi style paintings, both textured and untextured.
You video today has helped me to realise that it's OK to do all of these and to find my own unique voice in each. Thank you sweet lady 💐💝

It's so simple yet so underrated: do more of what you like. Thank you for your videos, you're really helping me reconnecting with my true and authentic artist identity ✨

Great to see you early work. Thank you for sharing that, Louise! I think we all start with representational art, but I found it formulaic. I enjoy abstract much more and letting the brush (or whatever) just fly. It is harder because I have to think about shapes, tone, contrast, and composition. Still learning and having fun. I paint primarily with watercolor, but add pastel, collage elements, etc. Not a lot of other artists doing that, so I feel like I am pioneering this a bit, but that's ok. It makes finding my own style a little easier.

For me, drawing is by far the thing that relaxes me the most, as much as I desperately want to improve my painting skills and alcohol ink art. I love to do representational but I have been really interested in non representational!
    Your work really excites me!

Do you have a video or list of the top 10 or so colors of paint that you think beginners should start off with from which to mix all kinds of colors? Thank you!

I notice you use a strange palette for your paints. What is that?

I can't tell you how many times I have been scammed online. People say they want to buy my art and it falls through. Or they want NFTs which I refuse to do. I just do not trust the internet at all. I am in my 60's and am afraid I am getting to old for this art selling game. Maybe my time has passed me by. I live in Australia and the competition is fierce among artists here and I have not found an audience yet. Do you have any advice or should I just paint for myself?
