I love 49ers Defense but we need to be scoring at least 25-30 with this star power!
Kyle's play calling does not allow for that, he wants to keep a small lead for most of the game while trying to run the ball down the other teams through to manage the game.

You have to give it to the Chargers defense though. However, Aiyuk did drop a catchable ball in the end zone and had a fumble. Then there were some bad play calls/execution.
These playcalls are this safe because he didn't trust jimmy to not throw an int. So he hands it off to more capable players. It's obvious playcalling, but you can tell her doesn't trust jimmy

@@boohere2 Chargers had injuries on defense last year too vs the Texans and let Rex Burkhead have a career day. They had their injuries this year and that fraud Staley couldn't put whoever else he on defense in a position to win. Even when healthy the Chargers get an excuse for not stopping teams from running and not letting Herbert be excellent.
As a 49er fan, I can say that we know what it's like to slowly lose all your players to injuries, and the frustration of a close loss without the stars that could have made a difference. We know we played half a chargers team. Keep your heads up, Charger Fans. Hopefully you are still in the mix when these players start coming back.

As Niners fans, we're all too familiar with how this feels. It seems like for the better part of the last three and a half seasons it's been like this for the Niners. Just before the bye, they were playing without more than half of their starters. This is the healthiest I can remember seeing them in years. The defense is still kinda banged up. They're missing their second most effective pass-rusher (Armstead), and their top DB Moseley. I get that injuries are a part of the game, but SF always seems to have it worse than just about everyone else in that department. And it has a lot to do with their extremely physical style of play. They seem to be getting healthy though, so lets keep our fingers crossed that it stays this way lol.
As far as the chargers go, they seem to have a pretty bright future ahead of them. They seem to have finally found their franchise QB, and they have a lot of great young talent around him. As banged up as they are, and they were able to slow down THAT Niners offense... That's pretty amazing. I'd be pretty excited if I were a Chargers fan..
If Jimmy G doesn't do Jimmy G things, this is a scary D that can carry this team until the Offense pops off. Shanahan is missing McDaniels

Jimmy g had a fine game. Got the ball to the right places. If aiyuk makes that catch in the end zone hed get 250 yards. More importantly, no dumb decisions. Jennings made some big catches.
That Chargers defense was very good even without Joey Bosa. I am so glad to see JG actually threw away some balls when everyone was covered instead of doing his usual dumb throws.
Jimmy G is a serviceable quarterback as of right now, I'm just terrified of seeing him slip back into his bad habits and going backwards

For some reason Aiyuk wasn't the player of the game but I think he was. He came in clutch with a few big plays and led the team in receiving yards again.

49ers Defense pitched a Shutout in the 2nd Half. They know how to close games on the defensive end. That offense could use some work though, but a win is a win. CMC and Deebo complement each other. This is a dangerous team come playoff time. - Eagles Fan.

I absolutely LOVE Jennings! It takes half the defense to bring that man down. That's the mentality of this entire offense! Kittle, Deebo, Aiyuk, Mitchell, Jennings, McCaffrey; there's not a single man playing in a skilled position on this team that goes down without a fight. I feel like they couldve played better and won this game by converting in the redzone in the first half. And obviously the second half was a disaster mainly offensively. I'm glad we competed but I cant help but feel like we let this one slip no matter the injuries.

The 49ers were the most injured team in the league for a couple weeks at the beginning of the season and had a couple bad losses. (Literally over half of the starters out when we went up against the Chiefs.) So we Faithful know what a tough loss is when your team is severely injured. But the Chargers played tough and really well despite their weakened bench. I'd be proud of them, too.

This game is eerily similar to the 49ers vs Falcons game. 49ers got throttled in the first drive, and then coughed up the ball in their own territory. And then the 49ers responds and got back into it. Luckily for the 49ers, unlike in the Atlanta game, their Defense showed up big time in the 2nd half and hold their ground firmly
NIners been like that even in previous years. They have a rough first half despite putting together some nice drives with no big scores. Then in the 2nd half especially when they need to man up because the game is still close, the offense gets clever and efficient thanks to Kyle and the defense gets nastier and makes big plays. I never trust the Chargers unless they have a strong lead to sit on because thats the only way their HC knows how to win.

The Chargers really did a good job of hanging tough, but when you don’t have your top receivers and offensive linemen, then it’s gonna be tough to win consistently. Getting Allen and Williams back next Sunday Night will be huge against KC

Niners never get that mention when missing major key players on defense that can make a difference against legit offenses. This game could’ve been worse for the Chargers without those major key players, if the Niners had theirs. Greenlaw's ejection is the most egregious ejection I've seen in a while. I understand that the refs don't actually have much discretion here, but that was terrible.
This was one of 3: the best best days of my 2022 which gave me hope and has helped me start to work on changing my life for the better. Thanks 49er a great organization. Also a special thanks to the app Bcrew when I was a kid it was my favorite color.

The Chargers played extremely well given how depleted they were. The Niners had no excuse looking that impotent on offense with the tools they've added. Trashy win but we'll take it. GG, San Diego!
That Def shut out the chargers 2nd half. You guys have too much talent on offense to produce 6 points. With a better QB , 49rs would have made 2 or 3 Touchdowns 2nd half. Glad it didnt happen tho, made the chargers look less bad
@@xilencered7788 Idk man, I agree with you in some respects but when Jimmy failed it was because SD smothered them and did a good job. Dropped passes and lame up the middle run calls by Shanny screwed us here. I'd give more credit to the SD Defense than I would say Jimmy did bad. I've seen bad Jimmy games and he actually made mostly good decisions here.
@@xilencered7788 can't really blame that on jimmy in this game. He was dotting up the chargers defense all game and should've had a TD pass if aiyuk hadn't dropped it. I agree with the other post, we just got very predictable and vanilla once we got in the red zone. Not Jimmy's faults moreso the playcalling
Try winning without your starting WR's, your RB2, three d-linemen, and both starting OT's. And the Chargers were still in position to win. Herbert was throwing to practice squad WR''s and his 3rd string TE at the end of the game.
@@lensnart1303 dude you're talking to a team who routinely has half our given squad out injured at a time. If you wanna play that game, our QB1, CB2, CB3, both our starting DTs, the list goes on. And this is a "good" week for us, we're not even usually this healthy. You get no pity from me lol
People better put some respect on the Chargers name, they played a very hard game and kept it competitive, they should’ve got blown out but they kept it close with all their firepower out of the game.

I hate the 49ers as a long time saints fan, but if they stay relatively healthy with so many weapons that seem to work together very well they will be a legitimate threat in the postseason.

I think the chemistry would improve better as they play and practice more together but offense looking good. Defense solid as well. Excited to see what the second half of the season would look like for the 49ers. Finish strong. 💪
Even though I hate that my team got rid of my favorite running back in the league, I'm thinking he did the right thing by getting traded cause he should be able to show his talent and be able to spread his wings and fly with the 49ers. Go christian go!!!
