    Game changer. I ordered it and it’s freeking amazing. It’s tuned high, more compact than anything I’ve ever used, and it’s tuned to the perfect decibles so you get perfect audio levels. Damnnnnnn

    Gr8 video Russ! Which mic would you recommend for shooting a Loud Live Band ?? I'm a musician and use my gopro to film concerts I'm performing at, so I've been having a hard time with the Hero6 Audio... Thanks in advance!

    • @PathLessPedaledTV
      @PathLessPedaledTV  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a hard one. You could use this mic and hope the AGC or limiter kicks in and adjusts the levels. Or you could try to find an "inline pad" to help reduce the volume.

    I got a question, so when you record does the audio record along with the video like it does normally or does it make two separate files? I assume it takes that mic and uses that for the audio otherwise it would be a pain. Any feedback will help! Thanks allt man!

    Hey, great video! I enjoyed and appreciated this video. This has helped me choose what I wanted and it’s the Rhode. Also, slow down when speaking. I noticed when people are rushing to say what they want to say, they sometimes stumble upon their words with the next word. This may also mess up their thought process at that moment and may cause them to stutter or mess up. You probably also know these tips too but try rehearsing your lines, take breaks if needed, don’t try to hurry up and spit out words, relax your muscles, drink some water, breath comfortably and
    remember this is your show , your rules and your time. editing is always available.
    Quick tip: saying words a little slower has helped people with their thought process and confidence. This will allow you to think while speaking and also force the audience to be mindful listeners so that in all, everyone is on the same boat. Thank you for solidifying my decision!! 🙂

I hope I didn’t give off the impression of me criticizing you or anything negative like that but cheers man 🍻.

    My Gopro Hero 6 native microphone does no sound that bad as you demonstrated. Are you sure your fingers are not covering one of the microphones? I used to have that problem when I did not know where the microphones holes were located. Thanks for the review anyway. I have bought the YI 4k+ yesterday, I was surprise it came with a USB type C to 3.5mm adapter and the external microphone works perfectly after you turn it on under settings.

What about another Saramonic: Saramonic Professional Stereo Microphone with Microphone Windscreen for GoPro HERO4? Is this a weaker one than the Saramonic that you are working with?

      @jesseaviman 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      what is the quick capture bug?

    • @OneLessCar
      @OneLessCar 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jesse Avignone if you have an external mic it will pick up the sound on the first recording but not the following. So I would end up checking my sound was working and it looked like it was (because it was the first recording) then non of the subsequent recordings would have any sound. I wasted so much time, money and lost footage. When I found out it was a bug I was furious.

    • @jesseaviman
      @jesseaviman 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ride On Cycling okay, so has this been fixed on an update? I use quick capture religiously. And how do i check to see if the audio recorded, watch back every clip?

    • @OneLessCar
      @OneLessCar 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jesse Avignone don't think it's been fixed, nothing about it was mentioned in the Feb release. Not sure if I understand your question, it's not intermittent. If you use an external mic you will only get sound on the first time you record.

    The Hero 4 internal mics are surprisingly good, especially when used with an open housing. . I have used the Saramonic G mic with a Hero 4 silver with good results. When using the Saramonic with the Hero 4, I did find the camera's wifi as well as other close by electronics created noise in the audio. I have tried a Rode mic with the Hero 4 and the sound is very mid-range-ee. Still on the hunt for that perfect GoPro mic.

    Hey brother. I'm using that Edutige Mic and the gopro 6 and the gopro mic adapter. having some issus with the audio. wondering if you had any. i can hear clicking sounds and humming at times. im also using a Feiyutech G6 gimbal. don't know if when i sync it up with the gopro 6 if sounds i am hearing are from the gimbal. your thoughts?

    • @PathLessPedaledTV
      @PathLessPedaledTV  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Clicking and humming are signs of RF interference. Make sure you are not using it near a phone or anything transmitting WiFi/Bluetooth/cellular.

    • @harrybugarin6923
      @harrybugarin6923 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Path Less Pedaled I am connected to the Feiyutech app for both the gimbal and the GoPro. No other way around that?

    • @PathLessPedaledTV
      @PathLessPedaledTV  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First run a test without any apps and just the mic to confirm it is from RF interference. If it is, then there really is no work around. The body of the GP is not very well shielded for that use. You could use a wired lavalier, but you have to make sure the wire is shielded from wireless transmissions.

    Your reference for "Right Angle Adaptor (a little long)" points to a 1/4" connector. Don't the GoPro Mic Adapter and Edutige Mic use 3.5mm connectors?

    You are a very likeable fellow! I must say. I am with you... who does not want quality at a reasonable price?... I want a rig small enough that I can still use with a gimbal... which I am shopping for... any ideas? There is one right now (Hohem 3 Axis Stabilizer) for $159 in Amazon. Thanks so much and I will check your site for other videos to soak up some of your wisdom.

    I don't think right angle adapter makes any sense with etm-001 because it is omnidirectional, you should've tried it with etm-008 which is unidirectional. Thanks for video i was surprised by sound quality of etm-001 and ordered one.

    • @PathLessPedaledTV
      @PathLessPedaledTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. I no longer use the right angle adaptor and just plug the 001 directly.
