So, this totally hit the mark, when I actually went back and listened to every part closely ! Sometimes I try and multi task, while your show is on, and that causes me to miss pertinent words. This had that “Eureka” moment for me, when I did listen again. I need to read his book ! All 75 pages of it ! Thank you again, Stephen !!!

After listening to you for 3 years then seeing you with the cosmic sceptic, I can’t put your face with your voice. I visualised a crust professor in a taupe suit 😂 It won’t go away!! 😮

I see that language for describing the world is changing. But I see this changing just as our evolving process of understanding the world. Because the language used for mathematics, which is a virtual world which we created, is incredibly stable and precise.

The limitations of language argument is a cop-out. You don't hear Plato, Plotinus, Spinoza or Hegel complain about it.

Another great episode. My question or problem with the philosophy of language is aren't we assuming that every human in a specific community will assign the same or similar meaning to a word. How do we account for the idea that we are all different and visualize the world differently. How do we account for individuals different mental conditions? Is a person ill because they would describe a sunset differently then another person?

So why are methaphysical question outside the scope if language according to wittgenstein? I'm afraid you didn't really explain that.

Great stuff. But you miss a case relating to necessity and sufficiency. That a condition can also be necessary but not sufficient. Eg, having straight sides is a necessary condition for a triangle, but not a sufficient one. Not central to the argument but it itched a little when I heard your definition omit this case.
