    Remember… these things have NEVER been explained, so a lot of the information will be like a ‘legends/myths’ story.
    I do enjoy how you did this🥰🥰🥰

      @@josephjohnson631 i made some modifications and simplifications on the actuall lore. But in short these obelisks were created by the netherese and were used as big magical batteries storing huge amounts of magic that only the elves with their high magic ritual could compete.
      After the fall of Netheril Mystra limited spells to lvl 9 and also took away some of these powerfull artefacts including these obelisks. But Vecna who saw an opportunity stole some of them and with his knowledge and secrets in magic he is planing an ascention to greater godhood while using these obelisks as ankers. Over the 1800 years he slowly scattered them across Fareun without beeing noticed.
      The pattern they are scattered is a symbole of Vecna (Hand with an eyeball in palm).
      You can use some locations provided in the Wotc adventures or make your own and tie them up with locations of your PCs.
      But the players must find these obelisks find lost knowledge and confront Vecna at the end.
      Vecna will cast a ritual where all prayers prayed to diffrent gods inside this circle of Farun will go to Vecna instead.

    • @pepperino-hotterino
      @pepperino-hotterino ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@josephjohnson631 i can go more into depth if you are interessted but i try to use Vecna as this mastermind who is pulling the strings and he has manipulated diffrent factions to work for him. You can also include factions that want to subvert Vecnas plans for example the giants seem to have vision of terrible things happening and are trying to steal the obelisks away.

      @@pepperino-hotterino I would very much like to read your detailed campaign idea and descriptions regarding the use of the Obelisks. I've been contemplating adding them to my current campaign and am just now gathering details and learning. If you have any docs to share I'd gladly wish to delve into them.

    Headcanon: The weavers were really the illithids, but the Weaver lore is just the positive spin on it. Maybe just a different result of ceremorphosis of another race. The mind flayers hatred of magic comes from trauma at their fall

  • @D--FENS
    @D--FENS ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Good stuff. You appear to be hinting at this, but for anyone who might be curious, spell weavers live 600 years before needing to rejuvenate themselves. They can do so 6 times, for a total lifespan of 4200 years. Additionally, those furnaces in their nodes are fueled by intelligent souls. They created the gems of reversion so that they could restore the multiverse to the way it was at the time; this was a failsafe in the event that their bid for absolute power over reality didn't succeed... and it didn't. Instead, it destroyed their entire civilization.

    Good coverage on The lore and am liking the content. However, I cant be 100% sure so dont want to sound accusing or negative, but these videos after a few are sounding like AI generated. Too much repetition and some lack of emotion in enunciations in words such as "oh!" Which should have more excitement, and way too much " dear listener". Again, please dont take offense as I do love the content but it just is these little quirks that if you are using AI, they need to be adjusted as using AI for effect is cool and understandable if you are. Again, keep up the good work, loving the content!

    • @sleighthand
      @sleighthand  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Thanks for the watch, and no worries at all I do use an AI voice for the videos so you are correct about that. As for the scripts definitely looking at varying up the writing more to cut down on the repetition. One of those things you don't really realize in the word doc 😂

      @@sleighthand The content is interesting but "Sources are a bunch of the released books over the years and internet"; isn't very specific. Providing a list of sources and references would be nice for viewers to be informed about how much of it is cannon, imagination, or generative text.

      @@Omensartwork well sort of its not horrible but the way he phrases things can make it really confusing like it makes it unclear whether they are immortal or not because of how he tries to make it too flowery, i'm not saying its terrible but just saying that a good entertainer can do it better like Esper the Bard and MrRhexx, he is using music and flowery language as a crutch and if he want to improve as a entertainer he needs to hear these pieces of criticism and improve his style.
