The best free drums nowadays are the Krimh Drums Free, that basically is the paid version, but you can't use the stock plugins of the drums to mix and master, and you can't use some midi loops that comes with it. Best drums to wrote periphery like songs, for example.
That was the first one I paid for! I wanted something other than Toontrack because it seemed like everyone was using the same kick and snare for years. ML Drums is my go-to right now
I'd recommend ML Drums over the rest. Best sounding samples and the mixer & effects are great. Those two you said are good too, but they take a lot more work to get them sounding how I want them and often have to take them outside of the plugin to get there 👍
Some of them have drum patterns you can drag into your project. Each drum is triggered by a different midi note and velocity. Hope that answers your question!
I couldn't get ml to read my snare on D2. I literally mapped the snare to D2 in the plugin too. Then when I unmapped my kick, the kick still played. Unintuitive.
I dont think so. I am not familiar with MPC Beats, but these drum kits are meant to be loaded and used as the full plugin. You cannot take the samples out and load them into a separate sequencer or drum machine. I think you would be better off looking for free acoustic drum one shots if you are trying to load into an MPC
Hi. I’m new into the whole MIDI with drums and stuff. I’ve been trying to extract the sound from my Roland V-drums set into the computer using Reaper and I tried two of the plug ins here. The only issue I’m experiencing is that when I record what I play, the recording is all weird and the notes sound as if some of them are off tempo for some reason. Is this common? Does anyone know a way to fix this? I just want to be able to put what I play next to s song and make it so that I play along to it.
it is hard to do technical support in the comments, so i apologize in advance. if your timing is good, i would check to see how much latency there is (time between the physical hit and the note being triggered). This typically isn't a problem with midi instruments tho. Make sure the midi is mapped correctly to your drum kit. Most of these plugins have presets for each midi drum kit that is out there. It could also be a computer issue. I get glitches sometimes when I am running a bunch plugins at once and my computer cannot keep up. good luck!
If you’re hooking up via USB maybe go with a faster usb pci/adapter, if using midi cables check your audio interface/sound card settings and increase the buffer, also check the plugins for buffer or latency related settings in their MIDI section.
Does anyone know how to increase volume in SSD5...i use traction waveform and when i use midi, it gives less sound...i do mess up with the knobs but still the sound is not that much..any plugin that i should use to increase the volume of the drums and won't cause much distortion ? Please help !!! It would be appreciated !!!
I wrote so much with MT drummer , i can recognize that snare anywhere
It is a classic 👌
I use MT and ML Drums, both are very good Kits to work with. With ML I have a bit more options and it fits super in my mixes 😊
Yes! Once I bought ML drums I have yet to look back
the sound of ML suite for this track

I haven't tried those! I'll have to check them out
Actually MT sounded good here but i never heard of it. Maybe i will just download one and go from there.
It's the right price 👍 kick and snare SLAP
I used to not like MT Power Kit because of the kick but it grew on me, also the snare is super good so yeah
Snare and kick are THICK
MT power kit is excellent
You should also have a look at the bfd player....
Addictive Drums ist realy the best, sounds so great
That was the first one I paid for! I wanted something other than Toontrack because it seemed like everyone was using the same kick and snare for years. ML Drums is my go-to right now
@@stevenkambach nice, I only uses addictive drums right now for my Electronic drum kit. I love the sound of the Plugin.
ML Drums is pretty good wth
Which is best and easiest learning curve to get into it straight away? Im leaning towards SSD or Modo.
I'd recommend ML Drums over the rest. Best sounding samples and the mixer & effects are great. Those two you said are good too, but they take a lot more work to get them sounding how I want them and often have to take them outside of the plugin to get there 👍
Thank you so much for these suggestions. You basically saved my channel. At this rate, I don't have to focus on only one genre
Lets go 🔥 one genre is boring 😄
Memphis may fire drums blended with perfect drums. Is my to go to on everything
ssd sampler free can sound good with the right mixing, i mean i used it and it sounded fine before i switched to sd3
Things start to fall apart quickly when you use ghost notes or a more intense hi hat/ride part. I wish you had a video like that with these.
Do they have like Midis of every drum part?
Some of them have drum patterns you can drag into your project. Each drum is triggered by a different midi note and velocity. Hope that answers your question!
I think my best is mt power drum kit
It is a good one! Havent used it in a while. I should bring it back
@@stevenkambach, maybe you need to
This was my first drum vsti, it freaking rocksssss
ML Drums!
My current favorite! I bought two of the kits. They are great
Cool tune , name please ?
Original unreleased song called "funeral." Maybe I'll release it one day 🙏
You forgot about spitfire audio labs drums these drums are my favorite.
Yeah? I am not a huge fan of them. Everything else they have is awesome though
ML drums❤
👍
MT Power kit 2
Where and how can I download them?
Google them, follow the download instructions 👍
BFD2 The best For me
I've never heard of that one! Gonna go check it out
These are all free?!? Where do you get them from?
Google each one!
MT Power sounds overprocessed. ML Drums and Addictive Drums for me!
I couldn't get ml to read my snare on D2. I literally mapped the snare to D2 in the plugin too. Then when I unmapped my kick, the kick still played. Unintuitive.
Strange! Their tech support is very good! I would reach out to them in the FB group or email
I'm like brand new to this stuff but can I add these to MPC beats

MT Power for me
Nice 👌
About get good drums?
I don't think that one is free...is it?
Got the full version of modo drum a while back, cannot recommend it enough
Yeah? I am not a huge fan. I have ML Drums, but modo has potential. I use the tambourine from modo all the time 😄
Yeah it’s way too limited, especially for what I needed. But I got Abbey Road drummer recently so I’m straight.
No Superior Drummer?
Is there a free version? I have looked at it on years
pisses me off when a free VST requires a signup, or even worse a downloader.
Sorry
You're still not paying a dime for these so signing up with a throw away email or something like that isn't too much of a challenge
@@justaamateur6533 not a challenge, but do that a couple of times and it gets annoying

I doubt Mododrum has a 32 bit option but I think all the others in this video have 32 bit

I would try turning everything else down tbh. You can bring the master volume up once the levels are better
Ml drums
Yes! I love them except they don't do low velocities well so I use SSD5 instead
none of these are free, im so confused
They are all free. Google it
It is not free!
Which one?
Addictive was awful. I was expecting so much more.
I enjoyed the first version better. Spent almost no time with the second. I'd have to dig into it a lot to enjoy it
Heh djentlemen
Ssd5 just sounds bad
There are better ones out there!
