      They are exceptional to drive too! Handling and engine response is amazing. Especially, the 25t (2.0l turbo) is really very quick!

      Own a 2lD 180. Unless it had timing chain issues saved in time, it is one of the best car I had the chance to own. Alway proud driving it ❤

    Great video, I've had the car a week now, loving life in my first Jag. I figured some of these out...the hard way! Wish i saw this first! Have you been able to do a video about the sim card/data usage? This would be really helpful as I've just installed a three mobile data sim. Thanks again.

    Great cars, had a 2016 XER Sport traded it in for the 2020 Reims which is stunning, both cars were amazing to drive and never had anything break on them, still got the Reims but am upgrading to an F-Type hopefully next year. Sad to see Jaguar go all electric and dump their customers, it will be the end of them for sure so grab one while you can is my advice, way better than the competition.

      They are a superb car, ive had 2 and will be picking a new one at the end of the week, but sadly will be my last as they've stopped production to turn over production to making solely electric models, a big mistake in my mind, JAGS SHOULD BE COMBUSTION ENGINED ONLY. Save electric for milk floats & vacuum cleaners.!

    I thought I had them all, but you educated me on the global window opening. Very useful now we're heading into summer, thank you.
    The one thing I miss is a global setting to disable stop/start. It's just bloody irritating. The petrol engines do not shut off and restart without quite a thunk. It's meant to be a Jag, not a taxi. I imagine the diesels are worse. And it saves me nothing. It's usually on for 10s at some lights. Not my favourite feature and seemingly one you can disable permanently by unplugging a lead in the boot.

    • @philscars
      @philscars  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad the video was helpful!, the stop start doesn’t really bother me to be honest…

    • @MrMackanno
      @MrMackanno ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Look for the button with the "A" encircled by an arrow, press it and the stop/start function will turn off (jump to 8:13 on the video to see where it's located).You have to press it every time you start your XE. If yours is older it will be at the same area where the driving mode selector is, under the gearshift puck.

      @@philscars Thanks for that, bud. I do the same, but there's always a chance of scratching/chipping the hood that way.
      I know other Jags have a "service mode" and I was asking if the XE also has one? A Google search has been unsuccessful so far(?).

    • @jeokagem8002
      @jeokagem8002 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@philscars Actually, I managed to solve it (page 198 of the manual - "Service setting"):
      With the key fob in the car
      1) Press the Start Button without pressing the brake; (i.e. don't start the engine) and immediately off again.
      2) Push the wiper stalk down, hold it and press the start button again (on). - The wipers will move to the top of their arc (UP) and stay there.
      3) Press the start button again to turn off the car and return the wipers to their bottom position.
      Note: leaving the wipers in the UP position, for an extended time, may drain your battery.

    • @philscars
      @philscars  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have only used it about 5 times over the winter, but must admit, it worked perfectly each time, I also have a Discovery Sport with the same feature and that also has been working fine. what error are you getting?

      I gave up on the InControl app eventually. It's a subscription to keep it now my XE is 3 years old and it was very unreliable. In the end it stopped completely and I was told I needed a software update and just gave up. In the UK it was an unnecessary feature to be able to control my car from my phone. Jag gave me £60 for the hassle, which was nice of them.

    There is no Such thing as the 2021 Jaguar Xe. The Jaguar XE was discontinued in 2020, along with the XJ ,What you are referring to is 2020 Jaguar XE R Dynamic P300.

  • @jcs3330
    @jcs3330 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Slightly confused about all this mirror locking. When the remote was used to open and close the window, the mirrors activated on both commands. So, does the XE have electric windows on locking and unlocking the the car externally or not?
    If not, then it would be a pretty poor 'money saving design decision' for Jag to intentionally not install remote control entry and exit, folding mirrors on a 'supposedly prestige' branded car. Which has got to be a joke 'solely at the purchaser's expense!.
    Perhaps they need to go and ask Fiat how they got round such a 'challenging' electronic issue!.

    • @philscars
      @philscars  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      not sure what you mean by mirror locking, on my car the mirrors unfold on unlock and fold on lock.
