Which is very rude for someone to do. And when she said what she did about the grandkids, calling them down and says "grandma's here. How she reacted when they didn't act the way, as in earlier years. And forgetting that kids grow up, and act differently, when they get older.
It's revealed in the second season Robbie's conception was the only reason why Marie married Frank. She probably holds resentment against him for it. Whereas Ray is the real son she always wanted, which is why she favors Ray over Robbie.
Because as an actor he was being paid $150,000 per episode to be treated like a second class citizen. You see, this was a television show and these people are actors. The living room was what they call in the TV industry a "set", meaning it wasn't a real house. Any more dumb questions?

Some people don't find familial abuse funny, and would've liked if the character of Robert Barone - portrayed by a very well-paid actor - would've gotten some kind of arch in that regard. That's usually how satisfying storytelling works. Any more condescending remarks?
