By the time I was 16 years old, my best friend introduced me to Psychotic Waltz. I remember was the first song. That was in 1995 and I was normally listening to more harder and faster music. I didn't even know about progressive metal. But I was in love immediately. In 1996 we went to a concert in Salzgitter, tour for Bleeding (awesome hanging out with you guys after the show), we went to Hamburg for Dead Soul Tribe but I had to wait until 2017 to see Psychotic Waltz again in Wacken. I had tears in my eyes, it was about 2am, my best friend by my side with tears in his eyes, my wife didn't understand what was going on. Thank you for the magic.
That was amazing Devon! What about some background story on Ashes/The Keeper? I'd be really interested to know how you guys arrived at the version that is on the studio album!

I remember hearing this on ROCK 105.3 ! Then raced off to BLUE MEANIE to buy it from Norm. Still have the CD and still listen to it, to this day. One of the greatest songs I've ever heard! - Bravo Sir...for keeping the sacred candle of metal burning.
It's a very precious thing to hear the stories behind songs that defined us. And especially when they come from the creators themselves. Don't stop doing what you do Devon, I and for sure many others appreciate deeply what you do. There's no song without a story and there's no story that cannot become a song. I would love it if you talked a bit about "Some things you can't return" or just say stories from being on the road with PW and Deadsoul Tribe. Cheers!

Best thing ever happened to music and me - Psychotic Waltz! I remember ( :) ) back in the days buying a music magazines just to read the reviews of the albums, so I can choose which one I would like the listen. It was somewhere in 90`s or early 91 when I read one review of Psychotic Waltz`s "A Social Grace" and I was obsessed to find it. But back then was not easy to find it here in Bulgaria, so I almost lost my faith to find it - when I went to the local music stores (not exactly authorized, but 100 % pirates) they never heard of band with name I was forced to repeat, so they can try to pronounce it right...Then I asked my big brother, who was a student in our capital Sofia that time and couple of months latter he brought me a cassette tape with the album. I cannot lie, first listening of the album was a shock for me and the only full song, which stayed in my mind after was "I Remember". Then I gave the album second try...And third...And then I find out my self, trying to convince all of my metalhead friends listen to the album...And then their second, third, fourth album...I remember also chatting with Devon on messenger, beging him for faster release of Psychotic Waltz fifth diamond and he joking, that they have a bet with Tool which album gonna take longer time to come out. I can just tell you, that watching you now singing "I Remember", I realized after a minute or so, that my lips are following the lyrics together with you and I had something stuck in my throat and tears in my eyes...Love you Devon! Psychotic Waltz forever and ever - Amen! P.S: What about the concert scheduled for Budapest in May? Moved to 2023, or?

Not related to the I remember song but I remember you guys playing on the Waldrock festival with Death headlining and you guys were programmed way to early, I think right after the opener, and while you were playing Into The Everflow Chuck Schuldiner was sitting on the side of the stage and just like us enjoying the awesome performance. He actually wanted you guys to continue playing when the organization wanted you to stop as scheduled.
I just discovered this channel and what a treasure! I have been in love with A Social Grace literaly since the first time I heard it. In the pre-internet era, this album become a kind of myth for my and a friend since we have read about it and it took us about a year of searching (and going twice a week to a local record store to ask if they had got it yet) until we finally got it. Myths rarely live up to their status, but this album surely did. And it is till as magical today as it was back then. Probably impossible, but as a suggestion to a live-in-studio song, it would be amazing to hear an accosting version of Into the everflow. Love to see more videos - both music-only and stories! This is so cool, and means so much to me to learn about. What a cool thing to learn that the roots of this masterpiece lay in your high school years, as I discovered PW and ASG while in high school in San Diego, circa 1990. I remember meant a lot to me at that time, and still does. So thank you for writing it, and for sharing about it. This is a treat.
