The fellow on the horse is Paul Revere. When we moved to the US in the 60s, manufacturers gave all sorts of things away in boxes of laundry detergent and cereals, and other foodstuffs. We thought it was great fun to collect the teaspoons and drinking glasses and, yes, dinnerware. It took a while, but we eventually accumulated an entire service for four of the blue and white china (dinner plates, bowls, tea cups and saucers), and that design was on the cups. Other heroes of the American Revolution (like Betsy Ross) were on other pieces.

I have three of those cups and the saucers. Printed on the bottom of the saucer is, LIBERTY BLUE, HISTORIC COLONIAL SCENES, OLD NORTH CHURCH. These dishes are from 1976 and were 'freebees in grocery stores. My guess is that the man on the horse is Paul Revere of "the british are coming the british are coming" fame.

All I can think of is: CANDLE. The mug would make such a pretty candle! And the oven... just imagine making tiny metal toy saucepans/pots into small candles, placing them on the hobs and having them in the kitchen. How sweet would that be - and you wouldn`t destroy the oven.

Mr Carrington, that blue and white saucer features the American patriot Paul Revere who rode out of Boston to warn the outer towns of Concord and Lexington that the British were coming! The patter know as Liberty Blue was sold around 1976 to commemorate the American Bicentennial. Each piece is decorated with a different historical image. I’ve been collecting them since 1975 and a huge collection. Brings me joy to know that you now have a cup in our home.

I've got a brand new iron, a vintage wicker chair I resprayed etc. And there are many v large families who put stuff they no longer want out too. 8-9 children is v common here so they're always decluttering 😂

Ah Iwan what lovely things you found. The lights remind me of the 70's and 80's when I was growing up, although I've never seen them in the pastel shades. It was my job to fix the lights when they wouldn't work (I was about 7 or 8). On one of the bulbs there will be a painted white tip, this would be the fuse that I would change. We always had a little bag of spare fuse bulbs. My husband banned me a few years ago from using my old fairy lights, I still have some in the loft. Nothing beats the look and glow of old fairy lights...such wonderful memories ❤🎄x

We had the same fairy lights when we married in 1979. Probably needs a new bulb, if one bulb goes none will work so you have to try each bulb with a little bulb tester. You can put a 3 pin plug on it as well. You would put them away working and the following Xmas a bulb would have gone! The child’s oven looks late 50s early 60s could be chad valley and the little tins could have been inside it to use to cook with.

Those tiny metal plates could be used to place a tea spoon after stirring your tea. The flower Xmas lights used to plug into the ceiling light, they were a pain because if a bulb went out you would have to literally go through the whole string to find out which it was, as they would all go out together, also the wiring may now be broken inside due to folding/unfolding etc. I would personally just use them for pretty decoration as they will drive you crazy and could be a fire hazard, but they are so pretty and vintage, I would keep them.

However if one of the bulbs go they need to be replaced otherwise they will not work. Try putting a plug on them. I had a medal play stove in the 50’s like that one not like yours in NJ USA. I don’t remember them being open for a tea light. I think our moms would never allow it. Those black small plates could be from tea set. Those tin things were not cookies you made chocolate candy in them not the round ones. I hope that helps you. Really good finds. I found working TV once on the street used it for years lol!

The oven is a Fuchs MFZ made in Germany 1960s. I had one. It came with lots of accessories like a kettle, pans and things to hang at the back. Great find!

I agree. I thought you could make a soy wax candle in the teacup. The fairy lights are stunning. I would get those fixed and hang them up.
All curious, fun, happy finds. I love them all. 🌺🌸🐰

Absolutely loved this vlog I’m so glad you take all those vintage things home I’ve got lots of things in dads loft that need to be sorted, it’s nice when other people see things as treasure instead of rubbish

Wow! what a lots of random stuff in this Vlog! Loved it, be careful with the fairy lights they are probably from the 50's or 60's I would guess judging by the plug on them, people would plug them into the ceiling light or a lamp, as not many homes had lots of sockets to use. It would be safer if you had them checked by an electrician as the wire may be faulty after all this time. If you do get them working, you probably need replacement bulbs and you can usually get them on places like e-bay. I think they would be nice purely as decoration out in the roof garden draped on something like a plant pot or on the trellis. The cup, either put a tea light in it, or better still fill it with wax and a wick and make it into a candle? Thanks for this, I enjoyed it a lot x

I live in a large apartment building and we leave unwanted treasures in our laundry room for others to take and enjoy. We also have a large bookshelf full of books and DVDs - take them, read them and bring them back for someone else to enjoy.

The blue and white cup could have a candle in or plant some crocus bulbs or grape hyacinth bulbs in it or a very small potted plant.
