I was so excited when I heard you were in Solihull! My parents used to live in a suburb near there , Shirley. I used to go shopping in Solihull I recognised Mell Square, High St, St Alphage Church and the Manor House where my bestie had her 21st Birthday. I have not been since Touchwood and John Lewis were built. Next time I go to Birmingham I must make an effort to go. The shops look great now. Solihull is a posh area so I would expect the charity shops to be superior!! It looks as though the prices are good compared to London. That Poundland was amazing so much better than London ones. Some good purchases too. I could do a day trip from London Marylebone .. If ever you are in that area again Shirley has an excellent retail park and is known for it's charity shops! Hope your cold doesn't develop! Great vlog.
Ah Mr C - love shopping with you. But really love how you shop with love for other people! Luke is going to love that top! Love your kindness and how you chat with us when you're shopping.!
I’m so glad I’m not the only one that said “Toys r us” surprised and excited when I noticed the sign when shopping with my Dad in Solihull. We went in and unfortunately it was underwhelming from what we are used too but also a great trip down memory lane.
I love dunelm. I am a leicester girl and used to shop in the original dunelm mill which was a small shop in leicester in the early 80's I had my 1st house and used to pay monthly for credit to but from them . There fabrics were lovely and I am amazed what they have achieved. Proud leicester woman even though live in pembrokeshire now x
I shop in Solihull quite a bit and it was lovely seeing it through a newbies eyes. If you’re ever that way again I can highly recommend a hot chocolate from a little cafe in Touchwood, opposite the Superdry store. It comes in a big mug with real chocolate dripping down the sides and a little tealight underneath to keep it warm, absolutely delish 🤤
Hello from San Antonio, Texas My son and I took a walk around the the mall. Took a phone call and saw that the temperature was 107. So we hit the food court for pizza and a cold coke. Thanks for taking us shopping .
Did my nurse training at Solihull Hospital in the 80’s but have only returned once since as I moved out of the country. Know there’s a shopping centre there now. Liked the woven baskets from Poundland. Those fold up tray tables look nice, I bought 2 online recently & they were £25 each! Like the circular baskets 2, think I’d just have them on show rather than use 4 storage. Bargain £1 washbag, sweet felt bunnies, nice gift 4 Luke. Thanks Mr. Carrington. Get well xx
I had no idea that town centres like this still existed. Such a treat. I hope your sore throat didn't turn too nasty for you; your eyes looked heavy; it was clear to see that you weren't feeling well. Maybe picked something up on the flights...I always did horrible air that goes around and around!! Thanks for showing us around Solihull Mr.C
Loved this haul, I lived in Birmingham but never went to Solihull but looks like a lovely shopping centre. I now buy the recycle bags to put presents in instead of buying the card ones xx
Hi Ewan, wot a lovely vlog♥️♥️. Really enjoyed looking around the town centre with you. Such a beautiful sunny day too🌞☀️. Have a lovely week and looking forward to the new series of sort your life out. Lukes going to love that top! Lots of love from Mel. Xxxx
Hi Mr. C! Always love a shopping vlog and you took us to some really nice stores. Loved seeing the variety of things you spotted. I know it's still early, but I think I'm ready to get into the swing of Autumn decor before end of August just so I can enjoy it a little longer until end of October. Do you feel the same? I just adore all the colors of Fall (orange, yellow, cream, green, and burgundy.) Thanks for taking us along as always. Have a great rest of the week! Much love from Fort Worth, Texas! 🦋😊🌻
Hi Mr Carrington. I loved this what a lovely town that is I wish more town centres were like that. Our town centre is awful now I hardly go into it but years ago it was lovely it’s so sad the decline in the high streets so lovely to see Solihull looking great. I loved having a look around and love the pumpkin patch bag and your bvalgari bag and loved the Easter things from the white company and the top for Luke’s birthday. I hope you feel better soon. Thank you for sharing always enjoy your videos. Have a lovely day ❤
What a delightful shopping trip. That Tudor building was fabulous! How wonderful to have old buildings still standing. Of course, we have nothing like that here (Los Angeles).
First of all, I love the way you style your mustache and beard, the separation at the ears, very stylish!!! Hope the cold goes away soon! The cat cafe, very interesting! Thanks for taking us along, how fun it was! U found, as u always do, some really cool things! That 1495 building is awesome!!! Thanks for taking us along, how fun it was!
This was just lovely to watch, Mr. C; thank you! If I can share w/you : when I'm shopping for accessories for home/a specific room (or ie. a match for a lamp stand, new cushions for the couches, etc., etc., I'll take a photo of the object, or room itself, then when I'm out I look at the pic, and have a much better idea of whether something will work or not (really cuts down on the returns or throwaways) :) Hope that is helpful and you don't mind me sharing :) Xx.
I visited the area some years ago when a friend lived there. You nearly said the town name in an almost ‘Brummie’ accent! It looked a really nice place to go with a good selection of shops. Well done for filming when you didn’t feel great. I hope the lamp shade fitted - I wondered if it may be too small for the base. I always have taken my lamp base in when I needed a shade, but with the job you do you are likely to be more of an expert! Thank you for showing us Solihull.
It was so strange seeing you vlog in Solihull, a place I shop in, and know so well! It was good seeing it through someone else's eyes. There used to be more retailers on the High Street, but I think covid took it's toll! Marks&spenders closed in 2021 and a new large store was opened at Sears retail park on blossomfield Road, not too far from Solihull centre. Wish I'd seen you I could have said hi❤x
Thanks for taking us with you on your shopping trip. I was given the Harry Potter shopping bag as a gift bag for my birthday last month. Harry Potter geek here 🤓😂
Solihull looked a lovely place with great shops loved the green shirt and the classic hoodie for Luke I've had the sore throat and cold which seems to be going around hope yours didn't last long 😊❤
''the vlogger's brain'' - when contemplating 'time' while filming a video, COMPLICATED!!!! i never know how you and luke keepit all straight, and refer to things we will have seen, when you're currently editing it, while filming the current video, its nuts!! :)
Hi Iwan.....hope your sore throat didnt delevop into anything.....Id recommend a bottle of Chlorosceptic.....its brilliant.....just a couple of squirts to back of throat & it numbs it.....usually sorts me out in no time 👍🏻. Great vlog as always.....Id love to go shopping with you as you always find some real gems in the charity shops & bargains elsewhere. I loved those big tall vases in that first charity shop you went to. I never seem to find anything amazing 🙄. Have a lovely w/e hun xx
Hi Iwan, loved the vlog from Solihull, it is quite a posh place. I like Solihull but do not go there often even though I can get on a bus down the road. I did not know there was a Dunelm there so I will have to pop along for a look. They have some nice things in Poundland, the last thing I bought from there is a flower shaped money box. I loved all your finds and I hope Luke likes his birthday present. Hope you feel better soon.

Euan, ages ago you did a video and you recommend a designer site that sold genuine items, would you mind letting me know which one it was or do you recommend one please? I’m looking for a pair of designer sunglasses 🙏🏻 Thanks very much in advance.
I worked in Tyrrell and Green in Southampton which was a John Lewis store. They put me in haberdashery but I did wonder why as I can't sew a button on without it falling off. 😅😅. Xx
