My First impression of the start of this game. Humans are stupid. It's kind of a shit deal only starting out with a board they could have allowed a few good wood crafting things to start with say a bat and later upgrading it with nails or Bobe wire first issue of game play in combat. Sorry a red light flashing on when the combat system is a poor representation of sending someone out with a stick, you're telling me no one has a knife to at least make a good spear, even the caveman made spears.
That's true, usually I am able to start the run with something a bit better than a 2x4 lmao. But the game is still being actively worked and developed on so I wouldn't be surprised if you could add nails to the wood board in the future and make some makeshift melee weapon. They do have some makeshift melee weapons, but I don't think I showed it off in this video because I already found nice melee weapons by that point. That's one of the things I don't like about many games like this and it's common. Starting with no real loadout / character profile is a bit lame. I get the survival thing but come on, people have knives, axes, tools, they're everywhere, they last a long time. Like a crowbar with 35 hits. Lol. That thing will last forever if you're just smashing flesh and bone, or even if you're not. People have various skill sets too.
I agree it's a tad unrealistic but it would be too easy and boring to use one melee weapon the entire game. The durability is designed to force the player to pick up and use a variety of melee weapons. But I can definitely see where you're coming from@@J.B.1982

A crowbar would be a crummy weapon to actually use. It's very heavy and doesn't handle well. You could make that type of game element a thing. Weight certainly matters. Weapon handling take more nuance combat programing but you can easily play with range, speed, and damage. A crowbar would have high durability and weight but be weak in speed and range. Damage would be decent but you'd be looking to upgrade something better made for combat. Weapon sharpness is also a thing for bladed weapons.
Sorry not putting you down the game but is see it seems to be longer than a stick and yes it works but still i would never go out without a good melee weapon.
Another thing a good tip to showing off a game is giving information need to get a good idea what's offered in the game like when you opened your car how large is the storage of this vehicle.
Unfortunately you can't store anything in your vehicle, other than supplies that will help your next raid. But that should be something they introduce. Having a trunk to store extra ammo would be clutch!
This was a nice surprise to come across. This looks good! Some game elements I'm not thrilled about, like how the weapon durability is implemented, but it looks well thought out and has a fun looking gameplay, which is important. It's on GOG right now for 30 bucks which is rad. No DRM makes it more worth the money. I don't like to spend more than 10 bucks on a game if it has DRM.

Anti viral shots can be tricky to find, it's a constant race against the clock, and a constant scavenger hunt to find your next anti viral shot. When you use your time slow mode, you can see if there are any antivirals around you. They often require a battery to open though. Other times you will find a kit to craft an antiviral shot using 5 infected blood samples that you have collected. But opening these places to get an antiviral shot will attract the entire horde to your location because you need to activate a loud generator first.

I have a series on this game where I go through hell and back! It’s not easy. I also have a tips and tricks video on this game which may be helpful. All in all I’d say keep playing and you’ll improve over time. The game also slowly gets a tad bit easier each game because you have more and more upgrades at your disposal, both with knowledge points and supply
I've played a similar version to this but not with this graphic settings.. but only in mobile.. maybe this is the latest version? You have stamina to use when moving in areas or spend coins, which can be replenished buy purchasing.I forgot the name.

I liked project zomboid but I couldn’t agree more. I prefer the gameplay of this game more simply because it looks better and the combat feels so much more polished
