#MetalMusic #Heaviest #Metal #NikNocturnal
Silence in a Mirar track is the scariest thing in music.
cause you know you about to get absolutely bombed with a horrifying riff
this is the realest fucking statement I've recently heard. PERIOD.
I can imagine Mirar booking a show at an opera house. No pit, nobody standing, just a black tie crowd sitting down and enjoying this masterpiece.
Not gonna lie, a suits/black tie "elegant" metal event would be so sick! Complete with opera crowd style clapping between songs.
One gentlman's-black-tie-wall-of-death at the end would be proper
I want to hear Mirar collab with Hans Zimmer for a movie.
And/or Darko US.
darkoUS would go so hard i would coom fire and devil horns
@@BB-BA55akaMR-BLEGH I'd like to see them collab with Excision
Darko collab now!
that be awesome
@@drasticquil9768 Excision x Wooli x Kayzo x Mirar x Darko US. Jesus fuck, that shit would hit harder than when US nuked Nagasaki & Hiroshima
Mirar is Vildhjarta on superdrugs at a rave party arranged by Lucifer himself with his entourage being Beethoven, Bach and Mozart(Who wrote a song called 'lick my ass').
Wtf type of after dark Lankybox script did I just read?
I love Vildhjarta an you are right great album
Couldn’t agree more lmaooo
Did he actually?
i love vildhjarta and you are wrong great album
New Mirar and Paleface back to back is wild
CURSED is a very solid album :')
fax and they were both good albums
I think CURSED is their best work yet
Indeed
Torille
I discovered Mirar through this channel and I can't thank Nik enough. It scratches a musical itch I've been desperate to scratch.
Same!
@@MKultraWideBand it's not for everyone, totally understand if you dont like it

How to Mirar in 30 seconds
Step 1: open the pits of hell.
Step 2: record it.
who would've thought that baroque classical music could be the blueprint for creating a new kind of hellish thall that sounds like it only wants us all to die of torment and sorrow
such strong Igorrr vibes on a couple of these. it'd be sick to hear a colab
This feels so much like Aphex Twin + 8 string guitar. I love it.
7:54 ''Is it done?''
*JUNT. JUNT.*
I've never heard of Mirar before. I had to stop and go listen. Just sat here giggling in delight. Thank you for once again introducing me to new music.
exactly what I just did too. Thanks Nik!
3:00 the boiling kettle core
If they remade blade this is what should be playing in the opening club scene where Blade comes in and slaughters everyone real quick while they are all dancing under the blood sprinklers lol straight up
“YES”
😂no. Blade is true rave music.
2:22 "If mick Gordon was on big drügs"
I remember when Korn put out their dubstep record, and everyone gave the record massive shit.
It's 2025 and it's basically the peak of metal i guess. I hope somewhere Jonathan Davis feels a little more justified.
The Path Of Totality absolutely slaps
I mean it’s all just clout at this point… this stuff is not great imo
I've always loved Korn's dubstep metal, one of my all time favorite Korn song is Narcissistic Cannibal. UNDERRATED AF. Ahead of their time.
What are you on about@@ncdozer3103
Narcissistic Cannibal is an incredible song
This is what happens when you give 10 string and a jammy to a person who listens to mick Gordon/prog metal and ambient noise/ that does LSD
🤣
I could totally see these guys deriving tons of inspiration from LSD
Just listen to an old Thunderdome rave cd from the 90's - same sound😂
I feel like Mirar need to colab with ClownCore. Imagine the purity of classical style sax solo then the funky devastation that would ensue ☠️
This! Leo and Louise Cole / Sam Gendel are Jazzers, they would get along
Mirar is the Stravinsky of modern metal music.
we've come full circle back to dubstep
Dubstep has never....ever...been part of our circle.
@@JordanEmede_376yes it has
This would be horrifying on an acid trip
100% bad trip guaranteeeeeeeeeeed
correct
+ Mirar +
Finally an album heavy enough for Paula to listen to.
Fredrik Thordendal's Special Defects walked so Mirar could fly
Baroque Metal 🤘💀🤘hell yeah bro...The cover of Mare is Caravaggio's Judith Beheading of Holofernes...You know Im an art nerd🤘🤘
By the 5th JUNT my computer thought this was a virus and turned off
Now this is true metal deathstep.
Ayyyyyyy ❤
1:12 i want to teleport a medieval peasant to this moment to hear a harpsichord get overcome by the sounds of literal hell being unleashed
igorrr is influencing a lot of people lately and it is nice
9:43 DID THEY SERIOUSLY PLAY "MELLOM BAKKAR OG BERG"? A NORWEGIAN POEM MADE INTO A SONG IN 1875? WHAT EVEN IS THIS BAND?
Idk man they prolly had satan produce this one for em
I'd get the reaction if they were from somewhere else, but isn't it pretty well-known in Norway? Fenriz and Satyr even made a cover of it in the mid-90s with their side project Storm.
Shit sounds like a semi crashing into another semi causing a whole pile up Lmaoo
They didnt have the heaviest album of the year, they set the bar for what is heavy for everyone else
2:06
That's not a jump scare, that's a JUNT scare!
I saw the art on the thumbnail and I knew it had to be Mirar lmao
If it's a Rubens or Caravaggio, it's a Mirar album
I feel like Darko is gonna drop something insanely heavy this year.
As much as I love Darko, I can't even imagine them making anything close to this album
Darko is going to fuck earth this year
I'm 5 minutes in, and I had no second of it without goosebumps. Maaaan, I didn't know that such beautiful things existed. I agree, no vocalist is able to fit in such a masterpiece of art. It's like classically composed but metal. I'm no joke crying because of this monstrosity. Just wow. beautiful
9:47 fun fact: many norwegians would recognize this melody because (while it's not our national anthem) it's from a song that's often sung during our national day
Thank you so much I was going insane with how familiar that bit was and for the love of me couldn't put my finger on it!
@@nonZensically i actually spotted it in the album video's description "Ivar Aasen : Mellom Bakkar og Berg" right after I first pressed play, so I was anticipating some sort of slight reference to it, but there was no subtlety whatsoever when it happened so I had a little chuckle when I first heard it lol
They're just auditioning for John Wick 2077 at this point.
Thall + classical + dubstep + aliens = mirar
Wait, they don't have label behind them.... love it!!!
Sad that Disembodied Tyrants ep isn’t getting any recognition
Is there a new release?
@ the tower part one sort of new
@@SpartanCube89 mate what are you on niks reaction to malphasian put me on
@ fair enough. I just haven’t heard anyone other than nik talk about it and he talks about everything Tbf
This reminds me of the first time I heard Vildhjarta, before there first Album came out. Pretty mind blowing!
Classical rave metal. What a genre!
I feel like I haven't heard some of these sounds since Aphex Twin's Come to Daddy. I feel blessed to be alive at the same time as Mirar.
Thank you Nik! Without you I would have never heard of Mirar! Just incredible - this old lady is loving it!
Mirar and Paleface Swiss both releasing bangers and we’re not even a week into 2025
Classical piano into breakdown.. gotta love it
By the forth junt my kid was worshipping Satan
Their music is definitely not about that.
That's concerning,
Very concerned for that child's well-being
As well as it should!! 🤘
@@DIZZLEJSit’s a joke bro
@@lawrenceyoung72 weird joke, especially with a child
im so glad you introduced me to these guys with your first video. it is rare to hear something that is unique and new nowadays and its pretty easy to say that this is one of the most inventive bands in the scene. completely changed my perspective on what sounds a guitar could make. saw the email from bandcamp when i woke up and instantly bought.
We should perform a hostage negotiation with Mirar to try and save the guitars.
11:55 nearly choked to death because I was drinking and didn't expected that 🤣
what, oh you mean Scrapmetal...lol
@@kazaberbaber1488 "My guitar don't do that shit"
It sounds like a train crashing into your ear
Kinda is as if Aphex Twin would do Metal... So basically insane and great! (Edit after the video: maybe the lovechild of a metal Aphex and Skrillex ^^)
Like Apex Twin and Igorr had a baby
Thanks again for another awesome band introduction for me! Also, this is peak dubstep: 16bit - Classical, Nanobyte - Dema Talk Deep, Kromestar - Sweet Nightmares, Lloyds Tsb Advert Sick Dubstep Remix, Distance - Night Vision, Blame (Original Mix) by Distance
05.01.2025
If I ever formed a band, the mirar style of blending classical and thrall would 100% be my inspiration
"Dubstep noises are guitar" reminds me of the first time I read "All sounds are made by guitar, bass, drums, and vocals" in a Rage Against the Machine album. Completely mind(b)ending.
4:40 nooooo that hit me right in the Dance Gavin Dance feels 😭😭😭
I love how you were freaking out during the entirely of the video and I’m loving it
Little bit of topics.. I just discoverd a band named QUEENSRYCHE and their concept album OPERATION: MINDCRIME.. and I must say listening to the album couple of times it has now become one of the best albums ever made.. So I want people to listen to the album more than 2 times at least , from first to last track of the album.. I can promise you , this is so so f goood :) And listen to the lyrics as well.. becuase its a story and a concept album, it makes it all much better. Sorry for my bad english, my native language is Swedish so. QUEENSRYCHE: OPERATION MINDCRIME (relased 1988, but sounds like it could have been released today)..
5:07 guy is SUPER EXCITED
4:44 - definitely my favourite moment
I fucking love your facial expressions Nik 😂😂
Get me a show with Mirar, Frontierer, and Car Bomb, and I can die happy with ALL THE NOISES
8:53 ok thats just crazy i couldnt find any word for it!!
Soundtrack for Doom: the Dark Ages is wild
I happen to be very fond of Dubstep and Drum 'n' Bass, particularly their heavier subgenres or their combinations with Rock or Metal. I heard bits of all that in this video. The Hardstyle part you mentioned reminded me of Crossbreed, especially in relation to DnB, aka the Mick Gordon on big drugs thing. Some bits sounded like Deathstep or Minatory minus the pan snares. I had never heard of these fellas prior to this video of yours. I cannot thank you enough. I intend to learn more about them.
You know when something is so good you can’t help but just laugh? This is that
As soon as I typed enter nik mentioned that lol
8:28 - Probably my favorite part
I'm so surprised Nik couldn't hear out that theres no synth in it. I just sat here from the beginning with an open mouth and whispering to my self: "this is all guitar.."
Biblically accurate metal
Underrated comment.
Mirar just gave the other bands 364 days to catch up. Fcking INSANITY 🔥
As a fan of a wide spread of genres.... This slaps
And imagine mirar and berried alive working on a project... Together
This comment/idea needs more attention @berriedalive
3:40 - This makes me feel like classic music, Mick Gordon and dubstep fell from the top of a skyscraper in an elevator and this is what was salvaged from that wreckage.... 😮🤯🤣
The podcast was awesome and this album is mind blowing. Soooo good. 🔥🔥🔥
I feel like this is going to be a great year for metal and this album was a great way to kick it off.
You can really hear the dance/trance/drum n bass influence a lot more in this album. Some of it sounds like it could easily be on a Prodigy/Pendulum track
Happy new year Nic🎉🎉 hope you have an epic 2025 dude🤘🤘
Sounds like several bands i listen to at the same time.
Parkway Drive wants its album cover back (I know it’s a painting by Rubens)
The best way to listen to this album is front to back. All the elements from start to finish are incredible
I want the album art as a wall mural in my living room
AOTY NikNocturnal Awards 2025!
Full body goosebumps multiple times while listening to this. I need to go listen to the album now....I'll be in my bunk.
hearing this album was and still is one hell of an experience. I can't fathom how the heck they're able to make such elegant yet extremely heavy metal with modern elements.
easy 10/10 album and it's not close. Holy fuck
Okay so mirar is a band I’ve never heard until now at the time of this comment, 11:47pm eastern time, there’s a band from Japan that i absolutely love and I noticed some similarities between them and mirar I’ve heard similar heavy sections and noises in dexcore. I’m not saying they sound the same but there are similarities
I feel like this soundtrack would be used in a first person boomer shooter. very andrew hushult-y.
i sweared he would start talking portuguese in the first “ Ó “
Dubstep is the metal of electronic for sure. I don't got to electronic dance music shows (I do sometimes) I go to electronic dance metal shows. The best DJs will have an audience deeply immersed in the performance. Great lights, smooth transitions from one track to another, one time signature to another, one style to another. The best DJs will play some techno, some house, some trance, some dubstep, some house and some drum and bass with a few elements from other music genres sprinkled in for some extra flavor.
man, you HAVE TO listen to "Degenese" song from mirar... this is their older stuff BUT IT HAS VOCALS and I think, that's their best song from entire discography
the amount of times we just saw Nik's "I just came" face is crazy @5:38 and @5:54 a couple examples. lol now i know what album to play for my wife and i later
This album made me feel this I didn't know I could feel. I love it
Album is GOLD! If you like this you gotta check out Berried Alive. They create riffs much like these.
It's atmospheric Thallstep. That's the genre I'm hearing here, seriously creative and cutting edge sounds.
Marius and Leo you guys MUST make a plugin. I think Neural would be up for it. You guys seem so cool and down to earth🖤 Best of luck for the future. Forresten, Marius har du vært i media her hjemme for noe annet? Ansiktet ditt ser kjent ut og jeg tror jeg kjenner igjen stemmen din også.
Igorr + Darko US = Mirar
Igorrr needs another r. 🙂
Sounds like cyberpunk sound track
It just sounds like any machine shop
Paleface Swiss's album was pretty dope. Didn't know they released their album in 2025.
Around 5:16, they made their guitars sound like blowing through a straw, and I mean that in the best way 🤣
