What’s up Jimmy great content my guy. How do you clip your online matches. I can see the replays on my CFN but how can I grab the content other then manually recording on the PS.
I use a capture card (Elgato HD60 Pro) on my PC to get the PS4 output.

Hey Jimmy, I got into SFV back in Season 2 so could you explain why Ryu was actually viable in Season 1? Because he’s been unviable starting from Season 2 and I don’t quite understand what changed from S1 to S2. Was it just his damage? Because I definitely noticed that when looking at old footage.
Damage reduced, invincible shoryuken removed (this was a universal change but hurt Ryu a lot), no throw loops anymore, st. hk much more punishable (this was an excellent move to fish for crush counter midscreen but now it's punishable on reaction) + a couple of other changes.
Overall Ryu's ability to apply a strong offensive game was ruined as he's supposed to be a more defensive character. Capcom just forgot to give him proper defensive tools (fireballs too risky, buttons too weak midscreen) so he ended up not being able to do anything properly.
@@mdz_jimmy Damn, Capcom must’ve really wanted Ryu to show up at competitions anymore because of his “boring” defensive playstyle. Which is a real shame, especially when he’s still everywhere in marketing because he’s too iconic. Too bad they didn’t just nerf him in a hype inducing way like in SSF4:AE. That match with Daigo and Gamerbee is still insanely fun to watch after all these years.

Once upon a time i used to get so pissed off at this match up.
My mentality towards the match up before was something along the lines of: omg its a gief 😣😣😣
Now...
My mentality is: Oh look!!! A Gief!!! Sigh....ok. Lets get this shit over with 😒😒😣😣 At that point i kinda just ruled out the notion of winning the actual fight and it felt more like a tiresome chore i just wanted to hurry up and get over with.

It's been a long time so maybe my memory is playing tricks on me :p
@@victorwonder yes true but only because I haven't been playing on pad for a looong time and I didn't have the muscle memory for it anymore. In general my execution got worse going from pad to stick back in 2012, I was much cleaner with inputs on my pad.

G is a bug for most player. But I though good player figure out how to deal with him already. No pro is playing him. He is not top tier for sure.
This has already been explained by Jimmy, G is a 'coin flipper' character as he calls it, meaning if he guesses right on a couple of 50/50's you're done. Unfortunately it is difficult to be consistent with G hence the reason nobody makes it through tournaments without losing (more than once) with him. His v trigger is a game changer.
Thats how bad he his he lost to zangief.
