Great memories about my recently two trips to Japan (Hiroshima, Osaka, Tokyo, Yokohama, Kyoto and walking near towns). Amazing the SkyTree Tower, aaaaaaaaaaaand any body listen the external sound, the sound at the streets??? No NOISE by the cars, japanese cities better than us cities. The work of a construction, CLEAR!!!
I love how everyone drives those little car. I wonder why we in Europe didn't go with that design principle. Our roads would be much better utilised if we drive smaller cars.

This was great. A bit unfair on the tram having to wait so long when no traffic crossing at 23:29. How old is this? Trams seem quite elderly? A pity towards the end the driver put the "pass key/radio" loop in front of what was otherwise an excellent video. Look forward to more. Greetings from Australia.

It's super interesting how starting around 1:03:13 the train is both single-tracked and on a street, in this case going the wrong way down the road. It's something you'd have a hard time getting away with in the US, but here with the way the streets are already really narrow and have pedestrians walking around everywhere I guess drivers just learn to take it slow and be ready for just about anything to happen.
"the train is both single-tracked and on a street" This is a near duplicate of the situation in Boston along Commonwealth Avenue. Right in front of Boston University. The Boston light rail runs faster, the MBTA carries many more passengers, must contend with numerous student crossings between classes, and traffic along Comm Ave is much heavier and traveling at a more rapid pace. Nonetheless, the relaxed trip on the Kōchi rail system is thoroughly comforting and pleasant. A marked improvement over the MBTA.
Japan is a very clean and well managed country. People are very polite, well behaved and educated. This country is usually recognized and treated as a western country, not a typical Asian country.
Good observation! These two stations have the shortest distance in between in all of Japan - only 64meters. I believe a new station was created but a school nearby wanted to keep the old one as well.

This city is Kochi city in Japan. I like this city, because there are mountains, forests, rivers, sea, and city. By the way, most cities have nothing garbage cans. But almost all Japanese people think we should not throw the trash on the road or river. And bring back trash to home, to make there’s city beautiful. So there are no trash in the city.
Please come Japan after the COVID-19. Today’s world are panicking because of the COVID-19, also Japan. Here’s city Kochi is also panicking every day. And COVID-19 make this tram reduced flights. But we have new type tram now. And our city has changing every year, every day, even now. I wish you and all people all over the world can travel around the world like before the COVID-19 again.
I wonder if, because it is a dual rail track yet doesn't seem to receive too much traffic, it once received a greater amount of traffic than it does today. It doesn't really seem to need rails going in either direction (anymore); it could probably do it with one and have a switch point every once in a while.

NHKのヨーロッパトラムの旅のBGMを聴きながら、この動画を見るのもなかなか良い
いの町在住です。平成の大合併で漢字の「伊野」からひらがなの「いの」になってしまいましたが土佐電気鉄道も高知県交通と経営統合され「とさでん交通」となりました。わざわざ乗りに行く価値ありの立派な観光資源だと思います。
四万十納涼花火大会の時は、自家用車で行ってますが、車は伊野まで親父に運転して貰い、自分は御免町から伊野まで毎回わざわざ乗ってます。
伊野のサニーマートの食堂で、昼食を取るのが毎回の楽しみです。
コロナで昨年と今年の四万十納涼花火大会はありませんでしたが、本来なら開催日だった日に、実家の高松から四万十市中村の赤鉄橋まで行き、高知で沢山お金使いましたし、勿論御免町から伊野まで乗りました。
今年11月27日の四万十花火は行きますし、また御免町から伊野までとさでん交通に乗ります。
あと、具同から中村まで土佐くろしお鉄道にも毎回乗ってます。
花火大会がある時は帰りが大渋滞になり、実家の高松に帰るのは高速利用でも朝3時位になりますが、毎回楽しい思い出になります。

京都市もLRTの検討をしている様です！渋滞の原因が路面電車に有るとした時代は終わった様です。交通量の障害が路面電車で有ると廃止しましたが、路線バスに替わっても解消しなかった。交通量は人の集まりの結果で、路線電車に転化する形では渋滞は解決策には成りませんでした。長年都電を利用した世代なので、地方都市で現役で市民の足として利用されているのは嬉しいです。世界でもLRTとして都市の足で現役なのは嬉しいです。
1年で大阪に転校したけど約40年前この電車で通学してた。駅名も変わってないし懐かしいね。

年始に高知に行きましたが「ごめん」行きの表示が衝撃的でした
1時間7分辺りの「通票確認」の注意版と、確認作業が新鮮です。また、高知の人（ドライバー）も、とでんの運転手も共存に慣れてますね。車がちょろちょろして危なっかしく見えるのですが、運転手が終始落ち着いているのでそう感じました。
地元民ですが鏡川橋以西は10数年前に1度乗ったきりで最近は全く乗っていなかったので、最近の通票には無線機が付いている、ってのを知りませんでした。
とさでん最高❗コロナが明けたら絶対乗りに行く‼️
隣の愛媛県民ですがやっぱり町の雰囲気は似てますね 警笛が松山の路面電車と一緒なんですね

まぁ高知の路面電車はバスみたいな方式ってことですね(乗り降りする人がいなければ通過)

その路線単体としては日本最長ですが、今はえちぜん鉄道に路面電車の車両が乗り入れてるので路面電車が走る距離という意味では二番目になっちゃいましたね、

こっちで見慣れている江ノ電では、大名行列が如く電車が来るとクルマは皆路肩で縮こまるのに、そちらというか（高知？）どうも構わず斜めに突っ切っていくなあ。
高知市以外の場所は見通し悪い場所ばっかりで、運転士さん本当に大変そうです。
沿線の個人宅や店用の踏切？がいっぱいあってベトナムの鉄道みたいですね。

伊野の単線区間は、名鉄美濃町線を思い出しました。
名鉄美濃町線は岐阜市の徹明町～美濃の24.9㌔の長距離軌道線でした！平成11年4月1日で新関～美濃が部分廃止して、新関～関間の新線が開通しましたが6年で廃止されました！
気持ち悪いくらい美濃町線とよく似ています！
