Oh, we have Simon and mackerel in the can and we grew up on it. We love it and take it out the can. Put an egg, chop some onion seasoning and coated in a little corn meal and fry it and patties, oh my goodness, you could eat it with rice. We used to eat it with flour bread my mama made. And syrup and molasses😅

Que, my husband is Nigerian, and the first time that I tasted Titus was in Nigeria...and yes, the texture is so bomb, I LOVE IT!!. We had been getting it from the Nigerian Market here in Dallas... WHICH IS FREAKIN EXPENSIVE!!!.... I'm also a chef...so about a month ago, I was at the Restaurant Depot and found it... SUPER CHEAP!! Of course, I bought a case 😂. I just found out that King Fish (Caribbean Fish) is also in the Mackerel family

Girl you got me buying some fish to bake in the oven today, I either get Mackerel or Barramundi fish, I find that they're the most tasty.. I normally use garlic, onions, capsicum, tomatoes, chopped up coriander or fresh parsley, a bit of olive oil and then dry seasonings I use garlic powder, sweet paprika or smoked it depends what I have on hand, onion powder, dry thyme, salt and pepper, and I bake some baby potatoes seperate,that's it that's all.. Omg I'm drooling already.. Thanx hun for this idea for dinner ❤

Anything besides fish I love fish that way, I’m not African but when we were young our mom taught us to eat baked fish with bones, she baked it in the oven with seasoning and butter, then she uncovered it and baked it to give the skin texture, when you dive into the head it’s delicious, the wide bones are seasoned and the there is meat in the head, we use to chew the eyes, they are hard n chewy but fun

You can find mackerel in the aisle that has can sardines/salmon/tuna.
When I make salmon cakes I use one can salmon one can mackerel. It makes the cakes so moist
