I have a Zenith MKE Z5RS that is now FOR SALE! The Zenith is a great gun but as you said, life is too short so own the best.

Derek! When you say 40,000 rounds with no stoppages on the testing, is that with or without regular maintenance (i.e., replacing extractor springs, and retaining plate spring)?

Buy the entire recoil rod assembly and drop it right in the gun!

I hope you can answer my question. I love my SP5K but putting the bolt back together is very very difficult what am I doing wrong? I hold the bottom roller in and put it together and push it in as hard as I can but it just won’t turn. You make it look so easy. Please help. Thanks Mike
Hi Mike, you are not doing it correctly but that just makes you human! 1)insert firing pin and spring into carrier 2)insert locking piece in carrier over the firing pin and turn LP about a 1/4 turn counterclockwise 3)put bolt head on LP so as to turn another 1/4 turn where in alignment. Now bolt head will freely move back and forward on LP.....practice a bit and you'll be able to do it in your sleep

The only problem is, it doesn’t seem to fit as it appears that the brace internal housing doesn’t have enough clearance for the sp5 , preventing the pin holes from aligning. Any thoughts on this?
Zero3 congratulations on your new HK! I have never had a brace but I imagine the brace is bumping into the auto bolt block in the receiver. You may have to do some dremel work on the brace to fit it to the bolt block in the receiver on the right side
HK Shooting with Derek G just figured it out. The lower left screw inside the brace housing cap was preventing the brace cap from seating in. After removal of that screw, the unit fits in perfect! Very happy, I have my sp5 and Sp5k next to each other and man they look sexy as hell!
As much as I love HK (I have several - rifles, pistols, etc) I gotta take exception with the quality/testing comment: last year I bought a brand new SP5K and it was missing the firing pin spring (the spring that goes around the firing pin). I called HK in Georgia and in 2 days I had the spring, but still...
well, that is quite the exception and there very well could be some missing info with your experience. I'm glad customer service got you squared away in no time flat. As example, I have personally witnessed guns being messed with by retailers and those mistakes then blamed on manufacturers....
Assuming I get the appropriate license for it, I gather from your videos that it will take a lot of work to convert the SP5 to a select fire SMG. Is that correct?
Hi sir. I dropped my SP5 bolt carrier group onto concrete maybe about 3 feet off. I took the endcap off then when I picked up the upper I forgot the bolt carrier was still in there. Do you think a 3-foot fall on concrete won’t hurt it? Is it hard enough to survive it? I just saw a small scratch but no dent. I’m such a blundering, clumsy buffoon! I just got this gun. 😥 Help please! Thank you.
Great news! You have a mil spec gun that makes your mistake seem juvenile! Your ego may be bruised, but your SP5 is rejoicing with use! No worries mate!

Good luck with that, lowers pinned and clipped and theres a block in the receiver. Itd be cheaper to buy a dakota tactical or nfa item.
I mean you can do anything if you have the tools but if your a sot just buy a post dealer sample
