Hi Nick, I wanted to take a few minutes to personally thank you for all the video you put out for Roll20. While i was using the platform, you were by far my favorite source to improve the quality of my games. Unfortunately, Roll20 is stuck in the mud, they are not listening to their client and there is a massive consistency issue with the platform. As I was heavily entrenched with Roll20, I resisted the urge to switch, but in the end, I found a better platform that works better, that gives much more to my players and cost less (Ive read that Roll20 even had the guts to raise the fee lately) So, I thank you good sir. Best of luck to you and keep these video coming out for Roll20. At least, you are a shining star when thinking of Roll20. Cheers
Couldn't agree more. I remember watching a Nick Olivo video where someone commented that another VTT could perform the same functions he was teaching, more effectively and without a monthly sub cost. So here I am over a year later still wondering how people still tolerate Roll20. HAHA.
@@MatthewCampbell765 Moved to Foundry. The overall experience is way better than Roll20, but I won`t lie, there are some growing pain with it as well. At least, those pain are invisible from a player perspective. It`s all DM related. It had its pro and its con, just like Roll20. But overall, I now believe its a better platform
So, hi, was wondering, have you considred taking a look at Foundry and/or maybe translate some of this fine skills for that other VTT? Regards from Tabasco, México [Land of The Olmecs]!
Hi NIck. I use CorpseCart in my games, but I also wanted to add this HourGlass API to add a 1 minute 'strategize' for my players at the bottom of every round. However, CorpseCart keeps moving the Hourglass token to the Map layer. How can I keep CorpseCart from doing this? The only fix I can think of is to wait to run CorpseCart while the timer is still running. Any suggestions? Thank you for all you do for the Roll20 community!
My understanding is that CorpseCart is only going to bury tokens that are tied to a character sheet that isn't controlled by a player. I'd say tie the timer's icon to a character sheet, mark it as controlled by you (the DM) and see if that helps? If not, you might want to reach out to CorpseCart's author and see if they have a workaround. Best of luck, and happy gaming!
@@NickOlivo That worked! I set my Hourglass character sheet to be controlled by me (the DM) and now it works as intended. Thank you so much! I knew it had to be something simple.
Nick. You should be a teacher LOL. You’re so good at making these videos seem like we can all do it. I’ve learned so much.
He´s not the hero we deserved, but the hero we needed.
Your videos are the easiest to follow and most informative, plus straight to the point. Thanks so much!
