I was diagnosed in ‘98 and I’m 2009 I got a kidney transplant but it only lasted 4 years. I am now doing peritoneal dialysis and going through the Transplant Work Up again to try and get on The List once again and hopefully I will get that amazing gift. I have a gorgeous daughter and 3 amazing and gorgeous grandchildren 💖. This video was spot on. I pray for all of us and everyone that is going through some kind of illness. Stay Strong 💪🏼💜💜💜

My mother was diagnosed with SLE and she’s having a flair up… she has it pretty severe and it’s really hard to watch. I’ve had to call my dad to rush her to the hospital bc of serious high fever and bp. She was delirious and in and out of consciousness. I’ll have to leave the country soon to go to the military and try to support my family. My mom is 48 and my dad 49, I’m 17 (18 in a month) and we can barely pay rent… I’m so worried for them but this is the only way they’ll be able to live at least semi comfortably in the last 30 or so years of their lives. I just hope I can get her help and although I care we have a rough relationship and her marriage is not going well either. This just have to get better ❤️‍🩹

I've been testing negative consistently for years after being hospitalized and receiving chemotherapy. I also has a TIA. So far, things are going well by using food as medicine as opposed to drug therapy. I have two Doctorates in Naturopathic Medicine, One in Chinese Medicine and am a few credits away from fully qualifying for my MD. I'm also studying Law, and other topics. For 2 years my doctors, many rheumatologist and immunologists thought I was fool and tried to convince me I didn t have it. The disease progressed and I needed to go to a clinic in Russia with physicians for them to do deeper analysis and put a diagnosis just more than a month ago. This disease is the worst possible thing with some of other AD and cancers, after my stem cell treatment hope will be better and I have nothing to lose. The worst thing is that after plenty researches I understood that I m the only responsible because the lifestyle I had during the 2016-2017 academic year... So frustrating

Unfortunately, my ANA was negative, and it’s taken years for an answer. I have NPSLE and it took my rheumatologist 1.5 years to put it together. The symptoms I have: RA, Aps, osteoporosis, I’ve had 2 TIA’s, and now shaking in hands, memory loss, uncontrollable movements, peripheral neuropath, and Hashimoto’s…my kidneys and liver are in need of a lot of help. My last labs show my RBC’s too low. Bun too low, Bun/creatinine, too low. Lesions in nose, mouth, skin…W/ all the symptoms, he put it together. Thankfully he found it! I was diagnosed maybe five or six years ago. Gah, it was so hard to get a diagnosis because it mimicked everything else. My first symptoms were excruciating joint pain, severe sun sensitivity (my body would break out in hive-like bumps at minimal sun exposure) and debilitating fatigue. I was lucky enough to find a brilliant medical team, and I owe everything to them, including their decision to put me on hydroxychloroquine instead of steroids. My organ functions are better than I thought they would be, but I am worried about my kidneys, and my calcium is way, way, way too high for some reason, and that can cause liver damage. Though things have changed since this video came out, it's still a great explanation of what SLE is without throwing keywords and terms at you that aren't understandable.

apoptosis does not lead to an inflammatory reaction! in apoptosis the cell is divided into many vesicles with an eat-me signal on the outside of their membrane. the vesicles then get digested by macrophages. this way nothing from the inside of the cell (proteins, dna, etc) gets outside the cells which would trigger an inflammatory reaction.
what's described in the video is necrosis, which is unprogrammed cell death and in which the cell bursts and cell contents are released and trigger an inflammatory reaction.
