I played this for the first time last year - was very impressed how much better it ran than the original 2007 Crysis, as well as how good the lighting and other effects still hold up.
I finally managed to score a Strix 4090, waiting on a bykski block, going pick up a 13900ks to go in my z690 glacial. I'm going to miss my 3090 SLI set up, but not the power bill.
I seen you in the 3d Mark Hall of Fame, nice score, i'm still holding on to the benches with graphics scores but slowly being bumped out by the 4090's, my cpu scores with the 12900ks is keeping me out of the combined scores.
I think you will be very satisfied with a single RTX 4090, It is a very impressive GPU. No more messing around with NVIDIA inspector, just 100% garunteed single GPU performance. I hope your card overclocks well.
I’m wondering how how Crysis 1 (original) runs with this 6Ghz CPU at max settings. Particularly really CPU heavy levels like Ascension or Assault since the game is very single core limited.
This game destroyed my 9900k/3090. I was getting dips into the 40s in the last firefight. Intel's latest CPUs are a huge improvement.
Yeah that's because that game is rediciuslly CPU bound and doesn't scale multicores well if any. so basically a better and faster single core performance = that hugh improvment.
@@RayZ_channel Crysis still has more advanced physics than current games, that is one of the reasons (besides poor usage of CPU cores).
The last firefight is very demanding yes. Not optimised well.

No just air cooled. These cards cool very well when drawing under 400W
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer If I want to hit 3Ghz with my 4070Ti I have to feed it all extra voltage on top of the 105% power limit, which sadly makes it reach 67c temperature. I can hit 2955mhz at a much cooler temperature but something about achieving this 3000mhz target prevents me from settling for 2955mhz 😂
@@ZiZo34344 Same with my card I use 100% Voltage and my full +125% power limit. This is the Suprim X Liquid cooled 600W bios, and it maintains 3GHz a bit better than the Stock 520W bios

Are there any headaches to getting the game running on windows 10/11? I'm curious what the max fps you could get with your system at lower resolutions as well.
I cant get this game to run more than 20 minutes. Sometimes it crashes when I get into the level, sometimes it crashes later. Very frustrating. I have the physical copy of the game coming. Im going to try the 32bit version of the game instead of the 64bit that Steam and GOG have. Last ditch effort lol
@@TrevorPotjer Ah ok. I have the original box copy but have never tried installing it on windows 10/11.
@@Your_Paramour just got mine in the mail an hour ago. Game runs alot better on the 32bit version. No crashes so far. When you install, the last thing you’ll have to go through is verifying the game with SecuRom. It wont complete unless you change the date in Windows. I chose the year 2009 and it was able to complete. You can change it back once the installation is complete. Dont forget about patch 1.1 as well. Easy to find on the web. Hope this helps 😬

I cant get this game to stop freezing/crashing. I have the same set up but the 12th gen i9. Did you do anything to get it running?
The game just seems to crash randomly. There is certainly a compatibility issue here

the running in this game is as fast as walking :P
its all about nanosuit mode passive movement while in speed mode (energy free) and on using shift it transformed your main character (Psycho) into Sonic overdoosed with crack (at cost of suits energy). Normaly you had pretty much only walk vs Indian walk, these little things were the reason why multiplayer in Crysis was lately so insanly fun to play, sadly Crytek had financialy very hard times, sells of Crysis 1 were not great so the best part of the game died due to lack of support , but hell it was super fun , bit of halo, bit of fps simulators and acrobacy of Unreal tournament, very engaging you could not use more then 1 mode at the same time clever, fast suit swaping made the gameplay.

@@N.o.t.h.i.n.g.n.e.s.s. its not , its just 20 % and 40% when you are using gun(pistol) or fists and its also multiplicative when you are in speed mode he is not using it , he uses armor which gives you movement penalty btw. Its complicated game made for PC.... not many games like this exists nowadays

Thats says much more then an actual video , thats again obviously much more informative then watching a video. Not very "reasonable" reaction btw, when someones shares information with you just like that...
