    Claire Weekes is a hero . She suffered herself and managed to work out what was happening in her own body and how to reverse it . Imagine doing that while in the storm of anxious suffering . Genius .
    She should be acknowledged more often than she is .

    Dr Claire Weeks got it right 50 years ago. No other expert is needed. Honestly i99% of the help and advice out there is all just confusion and stress when you need it least. Dr Weekes truly understood what was going on and how to easy fix it. Her book is just a few dollars and it’s so reassuring and simple to grasp.

    David Johnson's program very literally saved my life. I wish I could somehow convey to people who suffer from Anxiety what a difference maker this program can be. If there was a way to somehow cut past the typical defenses people put up when they're recommended a program like this, it would be so much easier to help people recover.

    I am going through it right now. God bless Claire Weekes, David Johnson, Paul David and Shaan Kassam. It started after a melatonin supplement I took that contained passiflora on June 30th 2022. That summer, summer of 2022, was the worst summer of my life. I experienced the full spectrum of severe anxiety symptoms. Extreme DP/DR, intrusive thoughts, nightmares, inability to sleep ( I kept waking up every 15 minutes). I thought I was going crazy, I was getting images of random memories, dream flashbacks, nightmares. I thought I was psychotic, I couldnt think rationally I was in another world. I obsessed about my nightmare dreams, I thought I was living in them, completely disconnected from reality. The bewilderement, fear, mind numbness were out of this world. I lost all sense of time and I felt a deep feeling of impending doom which was present at all times. The fight or flight response was on all the time, I had a feeling that I would dissapear, that I had to run to go somewhere. The passing of time was torturous, like I mentioned previously my sense of time was heavily distorted. It didnt matter to me if it were 3pm or 3am it was all the same to me. Actually just thinking of 2-3 hours ahead it would make me panic, it would create a lot of fear. I felt restless and agitated all the time. Constantly getting random images in my head accompanied by terrifying feelings. I went to the psychiatric emergency multiple times (5-6 times). I was given SSRIS, antipsychotics and any other medication you can imagine. What worked for me was a tranquilizer, a benzo called Ativan. I thank God for Ativan because it gave me a much needed break from the hell I was living in but then I found out that I can get addicted to it so I stopped taking it. I took it for about 2 months daily, about 2-3 mgs per day. At the time I needed a sedative, a tranquilizer. I was in a very severe anxious state. The switch was stuck in the on position and I TRULY TRULY felt that I would never get better. I had no relief during the day and no relief at night. The symptoms I was experiencing were extremely distressing. I was in such a desperate and distressed state. To this day, I have no idea how I survived. It was the prayers of the people who cared about me and God's grace. I am convinced that if it werent for the prayers of other people and God's unfailing mercy I wouldnt be here today or I would be highly dependent/addicted to benzos. I am still going through it but thank God to a lesser degree. I really cant wait to recover 100% and be my old self again. I hope that everyone going through this find peace.

      @petev4747 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jackiejovanoska7362 I went through the exact same thing you are describing. Just remember it's not the thoughts that are really upsetting you it's the anxious feeling that comes with them. Without that yuk anxiety feeling the thoughts wouldn't be as scary. You wouldn't even entertain the thoughts and quickly forget you even had them. The over exaggerated emotional response is the real culprit here. So all you need to do is allow the thoughts to come. Invite the gremlins in and let them wreak havoc. By doing this you are retraining your nervous system to not overreact to these thoughts. With continual practice the thoughts eventually loose all power because you are no longer resisting them.

      Yes, as well he acknowledges freely and clearly. He credits her work for his recovery and then got her direct blessing to continue her work. Unfortunately she was very near the end of her life so he was only able to speak with her a few times but she supported him. If you visit his website, listen to his radio reviews or sign up for his wonderful program he always, always states this is all Claire Weekes. Now, that said, I find how he presents the material a bit clearer, perhaps because it is a touch more modern. Actually his program gave me a much deeper understanding of Dr Weekes' works as sometimes I find her original works to be a bit too complicated for my tired brain to comprehend.

You are right, it is not a quick fix but if you slowly work on all the concepts and repetitively listen to David's content then as time progresses you absorb more and more information and you will get there. David is my hero :) (and so is Claire Weekes). Thanks for taking the time to help others, you just never know who's life will be changed as a result.

I know anxiety is a scary condition but with the guidance provided by David and Claire Weekes I know you can recover. It worked for me in under a year, and has so for many others. I encourage you to take the time to listen to the program slowly. @@mikecollier8115 It's all about acceptance. Accept you are having bodily sensations. Accept you are having intrusive/ ruminating/ or mile a minute thoughts. Also accepting that through all that - none of those things can harm you and they aren't dangerous at all - just really uncomfortable. It's the fight that turns a moment of anxiety into a disorder. EVERYONE has anxiety about something and it's normal. It's the people that dwell on it that create a problem for themselves. The truth is knowing that anxiety will be a part of your life from time to time but not fearing or dreading when the next time it might appear. You'll just acknowledge it for what it is and move on with your day. That is recovery.
