@@nathanpond2530 Milano was first team all pro and got injured last year. One of their other linebackers led all lb’s in PFF. And Bernard is very very good. Not to mention Christian Benford or ed Oliver.
Their receivers will be fine, Coleman, Shakir, and Samuel as well as Kincaid and Cook as receiving options will do fine

@@davidmccann9811Yeah, I’ve been watching football since around ‘75-‘76 & at no time from then to now have the Lions been considered a ‘good’ team. Sure, they’ve had some good seasons, here & there, but even then, they’ve never had any respect as a tough team, or well-run organization. Hopefully that will change over the next few years. They’ve always been a sentimental favorite of mine (as long as they’re not playing the Chiefs).
The Lions are due for an appearance. As stacked as that team is right now they probably should make it. Just got to hope the receivers can catch the ball in the second half of the NFC championship game.

@upstatenydude8322 last year it got them to 11-6 in the hardest division in football with a bunch of randoms at QB and got them to the playoffs where they lost. A better Buffalo roster last year only got them to the Divisional round....when they lost. The bills also lost alot of pieces this off-season, the browns didn't lost anything major and improved on their roster
Vikungs should be like top 15 as darnold has looked amazing and we still have some of the best weapons in the league with a much improved d fence
The Philadelphia Eagles are at least in the #3 spot, with additions of Barkley, Huff, Mitchill & DeJean, et al... They are stronger, with more depth than the Lions🦅
I wouldn't have complained if this power rankings list had the Lions @ #4 or 5, since it's not a SB odds list.
But now after reading the comments, I believe that the Lions are right where they should be.😃

They've won the AFC four years in a row and won three Super Bowls in the past four years. Mahomes is still in great shape, and Andy Reid is one of the best coaches in football. Their Defense was #2 overall in Total Defense, Top 5 in passing, #2 in scoring - their only soft spot was the Run (#17). They didn't lose any key pieces.
They beat GREAT teams to win last year, beating the Ravens and San Francisco.
They are on top, a lock to win their division, and have a middle ground schedule.
Sure there are "teams that can beat them" - but, that doesn't mean they aren't considered the powerhouse team right now.

It's actually mind-boggling how the AFCN is this stacked. The rest of the conference better be ready because we could see a league-first 100% playoff-reaching ratio in a division this year.

@@laceyvandevender5893 To an extent, I see what you are saying. It’s worthwhile to pay attention to each of them individually, as well as the division as a whole. Who knows, there might be some surprises.
Btw, I like the ravens more than the other teams in that division but I consider them to comfortably be my second favorite in the whole league. Most favorite would by far be the Panthers (I know, I know).

Cleveland will fall off, Pittsburg is in limbo, and Cincy better keep their QB upright or they are in trouble... Baltimore is quickly becoming the AFC's Dallas Cowboys!

Cleveland’s defense is still stingy and their coaching staff is fantastic, although I agree that if Watson doesn’t ball out, their future is screwed.
Pittsburgh has considerable pieces around Russ; plus playmakers on both sides of the ball. Their schedule is tough but the upgrade at qb and considerable talent can hang with almost anyone. There’s also Tomlin.
Cincy is prioritizing the health of Burrow as they should be (through offensive line). There are trade rumors but they too have high-end talent, and don’t forget about the defense.
About Baltimore and your analogy, did the Modern, playoff-struggling form of the Cowboys ever have somebody like Derrick Henry? I know the Cowboys had players like Emmett Smith but I’m pretty sure he helped them get a championship or two. On top of a lot of talent, Henry adds a freakish element to the Ravens offense.
How r the Panthers 32? They have a good Defense, and they added good pieces to their offense.

I'm a native Houstonian, and I know this sounds crazy, but the QB that scares me the most is Anthony Richardson. If he can stay healthy, watch out.
It kills me how you so called experts and some of these fly by night fans about Wilson who played for a weak Denver team and still managed 28 tds 8 ints. Wilson is gonna shine for Steelers alot better than any other QB we had lately

Dolphins are likely winning the division and the Jets got a lot better while the Bills got considerably worse on defense and have one of the worst WR rooms in the AFC, and even the league. If Dolphins and Jets stay healthy, it is not wild to think the Bills finish 3rd in the division, and with how competitive the AFC will be, that won't be good enough

All these lists are roughly the same, just different orders. In the NFC there seems to be 2 playoff spots available so it's possible Seattle could squeeze in.
@@solesoulsorrow I agree on that, but for a 1st year head coach to make the playoffs his first year is rare. With teams rising in the NFC like the Lions, 49ers, Packers, eagles, and cowboys. There schedule is decent, but I need to see if the Seahawks can beat the Tough AFC Opponents like the Bills and Dolphins. I do see use going 9-8 and beating the 9ers at least once.

That is cuz they backed into the playoffs. The saints kicked the crap outta them at home with the division on the line. It was never even a game. I wouldn’t say easily, the defense (while seemingly loaded) still needs to pan out to see if it is just as good as always since there are plenty of new faces. The offense will most likely be around the same level as last years, but it can certainly improve and beat my expectations. 17 is too low I agree, but top 10 might be a little bit too much. Give me Rams at 12.

Before the video starts: they will rank the Raiders in the bottom 10 because of a former rookie with an even record with an interim head coach or think Minshew is any kind of competition to Oconnell. They will overlook the Wilkins and Powers Johnson acquisition and will probably mention how Jacobs going to Green Bay somehow hurts the team.
If they do, they don't know shit. The Raiders are at minimum a top 12 team. At best 2 playoff wins.
Look out for the D line. It's the best on paper and last years performance after AP took over.
