@@patrickschannelpokemonswee3803 no the trade screwed him over 13m a year and cant produce. He should have stayed in Ottawa. But it was great for our future hopefully we can get him back for a couple years before he retires
I have watched hockey my whole life, 25+ years, and I am not exaggerating when I say that Erik Karlsson during this playoff run was the most dominant I've ever seen a player in the playoffs. He was incredible defensively, first to every puck in his own end, always making the right pass, leading the breakout himself if no one was available, and also incredible offensively when he would enter the zone. He was pinching at just the right moments, never jeopardizing the defensive end with his offensive plays. Skating circles around people, being a huge nuisance when teams were trying to enter his own end. Unreal performances.
He was the best player on the planet for this playoff run. No joke. He was otherworldly and made a lot of people pay attention to the Sens. Absolutely amazing run.
Devils fan here. I LOVED this Ottawa team. Not only was Karlsson basically the best player in the world at the time, but the offense was deep, opportunistic and electrifying! Plus you got fan favorite Craig Andersson putting up great numbers. It's shame how it all fell apart shortly after :(
I remember this run and as a habs fans this guy was a god on skates he was amazing offensively and what I thought was even more impressive was his defence which he wasn’t/isn’t known for being good at
So funny that game was ours and where is kunis with the pens? he gave you the stanley cup final and you eject him from your team well its say a bunch lots about the pens. I just hope we take on the pens next years in playoff and Karlsson is Healthy. We will see who will win the Series Playoff vs the Pens Then. A walk in the park my ass! Took you 7 games like your others series to beat the sens and a couple of cheap shot here and there. Anyways we all know the pens will be jack shit when Crosby and Geno retires so yeah.
He was the best player in the world for about 5 months there. One of the greatest individual playoff runs of all time.
Instablaster...
Injury destroyed his career sadly

This was probably the best playoff performance I have ever seen. Unreal

And he did all with only 1 leg
19 points on half an ankle. A couple of those highlight reel quality.
1:13 have to give Hoffman a big shout out how he managed that mind blowing pass
Hoffman is the 2nd best Ottawa player in the roster, in my opinion.
@@miguelitomarques8 who is it now ;) top 2 imo are Norris and Chabot
@@hainseyhockey I'll have to agree with you. Norris and Chabot.
that game 7 between the pens and sens was the best game of hockey i watched in recent memory. Goodluck sens next year!
Slim Hades look where they are now 😢
@@masontoleary they're better now

Sharks fan here.
Please give us this Erik Karlsson. . .
Well u have him now lol took him a year but he’s leading sharks in everything same with the defense men

It blows my mind that he's probably the worst contract in the league now. No doubt, he was the best player on the planet during that run
what a run
Amazing how many of these players hate each other.. Karlsson and Hoffman, Ryan and Turris...
Its weird that basically NONE of these players are still on the team. Unless Hoff resigns (UFA right now).
HE MUST BE PROTECTED AND IN SAN JOSE HE IS BEING POUNDED .
nice hack by Mquaid 0:35
2 G 15 A 17 P. where is the last 1 ass ?
If only Hoffman's girlfriend never opened her damn mouth. The Pass will live forever.

Anyone else here to get hyped for this man to destroy Vegas
Ooof
the most "boring" team in the league, according to experts.. haha
Wtf, why can't he do this in teal?..
Because Matt Cooke effectively ended his career - the achilles tendon injury caught up to him after this playoff run.
injuries + all of that business with that woman and her husband harrassing his wife after her miscarriage fucked him up a bit
