Bud Bison ( Gonta Ushijima in Japan), a kid who tries to be tough on the outside to hide his insecurities and feelings of anxiety at the thought of being a failure and letting Luna down. He was easy pickings for Taurus. Tom Dubius, (Shinsuke Utagai in Japan), a pitiful man afraid that just about anybody and everybody will steal his work and take all the credit to the point he could not trust even his best friend, making him easy prey for Cygnus. Sonia Strumm, (Misora Hibiki in Japan), a lonely idol whose heart-warming intentions of wanting to make her deceased mother happy are being taken advantage of by her greedy manager and finally snaps, taking it out on all her fans who don't actually know her reasons for singing. Lyra had no issues being let into Sonia's heart. Mitch Shepar, (Ikuta Michimori in Japan), a man with good intentions torn between his career and his family. He wants to make both happy but cannot do so without sacrificing another. This imbalance in his life made him easy to take advantage of by the nefarious Libra. Luna Platz, (Luna Shirogane in Japan), a young girl who simply has far too many expectations placed on her for someone of her age by her parents, who expect nothing but perfection from her to the point they're willing to tear her away from her friends. Despite Luna knowing full well what was to become of her, Ophiuca had no issues coiling around Luna. And finally Patrick Sprigs, (Futaba Tsukasa in Japan), an absolute broken kid who was thrown in the literal trash by his own parents when he was just an infant. He never knew what it was like to be loved, he only ever experienced some of the worst of society had to offer and thus, developed a split personality to cope with it all, making him an easy target for Gemini. ... Oh, and this was rated E for Everyone of course.
When you really look into Star Force's thematic messages, the way they handle the characterization of personal weakness and struggles with mental disorders is absolutely magnificent and makes the characters and villains relatable and even tragic because of how brutally real they are with each character's struggles... (hell, half the FMians are sympathetic characters bound by their Kings ignorance). it's unexpected but really welcome character depth for what just seems like another mid 2000s "kids vs. aliens" story on the surface
I hate GeminiSparkSP. I get it. There are tricks to beating him, but it doesn't excuse how fcking broken the fight is. Firstly, he attacks WAY too fast. To the point where there is only one free panel to stand on half the time, and you spend half the battle focused on the Electro Knuckle and Blade, and I swear every time you damage him, because of the speed, he manages to hit you back. The Gemini Thunder is also very frequent, I mean at least that attack is predictable and reactionary. You can dodge it, but it also happens to kill Barriers or Auras, which I thought might be my key to beating him, as the attacks are fast but weak. Nope. Gemini Thunder cannot be avoided so damage to shields is inevitable. Secondly, there's two of them, and you can only hit Rey. But half the time Pat gets in the goddamn way and sponges all the damage. If you waste a big card on Pat, you may as well reset because you just wasted your time. It's especially annoying when a Mega Card locks onto Pat, and then does absolutely nothing. And 2000HP is far too much for this boss. They don't take into consideration the speed of the duo, how hitting Rey is a nightmare and how many attacks won't register thanks to Pat. Thirdly, If you're playing Pegasus, which I was, this fight is absolutely miserable. You can't Starforce, because any hit will make you take double damage and then lose the Card advantage and MgcFreeze. Plus, none of the Giga Cards in Pegasus help here apart from MAYBE Aqua+50 with StickyRain. But it's a huge gamble and making him stay still long enough to use it is a challenge even when you do draw both cards. Leo has it okay with LifeAura and Leo Form at least being able to stand up to him, and Dragon just gets this fight so much better. The Wood Elemental Cyclone counter will come in SO handy, along with Wood+50 which you can combo with VulcanSeed for massive damage, hell if you have Giga+1 you can combo DragonSky GX with it, and absolutely CRUSH Gemini with a massive 200 damage per hit, which will pretty much be a one shot. And I suppose I should address the elephant in the room. If you mess up ONCE. You get chained into attacks over and over because of Paralysis and die. Yes, I understand if you come prepared, he is possible. I've beaten him before and gotten his SP card but you need to prepare so damn meticulously. Plus his encounter rate in the area he appears is too high. What happens if you aren't prepared to deal with him? What happens if you haven't saved in a while? You die and lose progress. I've lost count how many times I was grinding for cards, Zenny or just passing through and then this asshole comes up, you can't run and I don't have my Wood Folder equipped so I died and lost the 20000Z I just spent grinding to get those last few cards. God I hate this boss.
I honestly came to love literally any SP fight after dealing with Pegasus SP I couldn't be bothered to do Dragon (Leo is a cakewalk after doing pegasus first) Pegasus' speed is just annoying and slipping up once = big damage but Gemini is really really easy to read since they come to you for most of their attacks and the counter hit window is huge honestly I have no Idea what you're talking about Pegasus magic freezes these mofos and you can deal extra damage by using a breaking class card these 2 are definitely not hard since all you have to do is wait for them to attack you (cuz they appear in front of you EVERY time)
That's not necessarily a bad thing, games like these help kids to understand topics like these without being too violent or treating them like if they were idiots

I have a friend that's SUPER into Starforce, they have all the versions of SF1-3 and pretty much also made it my favourite Megaman series, but they have so many doubts about a collection coming out for years - and even after the BN collection and its success, they still doubt it can happen

The Etrian Odyssey collection is a recent example that shows that adapting DS games isn't hard. Not only that, but most of Capcom's Megaman collections have 3-4 titles, if you remember Classic, X and BN collection, which are divided in 2. A Starforce collection would have more than enough content. Additionally, the BN collection is one of the best performing Megaman software of all time: it's the fastest selling and it might soon top MM11 in sales. Starforce is a fan favorite sequel series to it; it's the logical next step after Legends Collection/a new Megaman, imo. SF1-3 released in a timeframe that had an absolute oversaturation of Megaman content, but people showed that they love Megaman RPGs. Tons of people said in the BN collection survey that a Starforce Collection would be great - and people are interested in it. I honestly think at this point why shouldn't there be a Starforce collection. I'm playing through 2 and 3, already beaten 1 and I might prefer SF over BN, which are my favourite RPGs.

MMSF does only have 3 games but they'll probably pull a mmbnlc and probably have the separate versions on the legacy collection. I've just started playing Star Force after finishing Battle Network so I don't have much to say about the gameplay for what you said on "Why should there be a Starforce collection?" I hate how Patrick Sprigs became just an optional character in MMSF2 and completely gone at MMSF 3 :( Hes really important part of MMSF1 story.
