THE BEST thing about Karlsen (and now Pyrin) is all the hashrate that's disappeared off all the other Coins I mine. Lots of miners moving over, mining the coin to sell it. Good short term, but neither of these hold any long term prospects. Get in. Mine a bag. Sell it. Get out.
Why would neither coin have any long term prospects? Kaspa has long term prospects, and Karlsen is attempting to be Kaspa minus the ASICs, which is a valid use-case. Will Karlsen get as big as Kaspa? almost zero chance, but it doesn't need to in order to be successful.
@@spire107 They're both created for the sole purpose of keeping GPU miners mining. There are a ton of other POW projects that have actual use cases. These two may stick around for awhile, but who is going to build on them?
Hi Seb, nice video, it reminded me of how I got into building my 6 mining rigs in the early Ravencoin days. Which I then moved to ETH. I moth balled all of my GPU rigs a year ago but am just putting in pace a solar install and connecting them all up again to mine KLS 😁 Did you ever produce a final Ravencoin video? How did you do with Ravencoin?
Yeah; everybody talks you are late, but good thing is difficulty goes down a lot; I earn 3 times more KLS than at its peak hashrate. Pyrin will be alike; everybody in then it will be down (hopefully short term then up) in its downside; Karlsen will be up in price and I already accumulated lot of KLS.
Is it worth mining anything with a single LHR 3080? Been out of it for a while now, and I know there was that LHR remover but not sure where it's all at right now.
The wallet is a bit of a nightmare, running the node killed off my SSD. I can’t figure out how to access it on a new HD without setting up a new wallet address 😢
Always check your latency kids, what ever coin you mine. BEst to mine to lowest latency pool to your mining farm. Although i do like hero miners my latency is 30ms to that pool, K!pool i get around 8-10ms it really depends how close their server to your place :D

Pyrin is crazy profitable right now. $20+ per day on a 4090 profit

So LHR only affected Ethereum mining so it wouldn’t affect mining this coin :) If it’s worth it is up to you.

Driver version usually doesn't have much effect as long as you use a fairly new one.
