- After the death of his teenage brother Andy, multi-millionaire Matt Trakker uncovers an international criminal organization known as V.E.N.O.M. (Vicious Evil Network Of Mayhem) Trakker gathers a group of friends who, like himself, possess extraordinary talents and creates M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) Their objective; to destroy V.E.N.O.M. and its mastermind - Miles Mayhem, the man responsible for Andy's death.

Starscream's antics from G1 and Rax have 1 thing in common: they hate to take orders when they can give it instead. This is too much for MASK to handle.
At least, though, Miles Mayhem never threatened to destroy Sly Rax (it seemed more so in the *comics* Sly Rax wanted to be the new VENOM leader, whereas, in the cartoon, only very seldom would Sly Rax have done anything to displease Miles Mayhem) [in that he was never as dim-witted as Cliff Dagger, who Miles Mayhem would more have gotten angry at].
This is the only episode where we get to see Rax show off his Starscream-esque characteristics, something he did frequently in both the U.S. and UK comics.

Seriously? Scott disobeys again and he gets a golden relic sword as a souvenir? Even if it’s just a joke having that stupid lesson at the end is pointless if Scott constantly disobeys Matt every episode

I remember watching this one as a kid and I remember thinking Rax told Mayhem to "Fuck Off" when he asked for his progress. LOL. Even Dagger was like "Did he say what I think he said?" Rax should just hook up with Vanessa and take over Venom.
Catch the reference to the allusion to the L.A. Colisieum at the beginning? It attracted the Dodgers and Raiders to L.A.
And a Ghostbusters reference, which had come out the year prior.
They always have at least one accurate historical fact per episode.
