i worked on T 33s at tyndal AFB in 1979 they still used as trainers
They are being phased out for a MUCH uglier aircraft with less speed but more fuel efficiency as of 2023. It's called the Boeing-SAAB T7A Red Hawk. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing%E2%80%93Saab_T-7_Red_Hawk The biggest change (other than updated avionics etc) is it's a single engine and I believe it's basically the same turbofan that's in the F-35.
The F-86 was not the first jet swept-wing fighter to see service, not even close. The first that I know of was the Me-262, and MIG-15 also preceded it.
Yes, the F-86 was the first swept wing fighter in US service. Many ignorant people keep thinking Americans invented everything. Look at helicopters, for example. Stupid people think the Korean war was the first one that had helicopters and they were developed by Bell or Sikorsky, when Germany had at least two operational helicopter types in WW2, even experimenting with shipboard use. Also, it was the German, Anton Flettner, who made the first working helicopter with the modern configuration of a single main rotor and a small tail rotor to counteract torque. In fact, advanced helicopters were exhibited in the 1930s, with many records set by Hanna Reitsch.

I would like to own a North American F-86 & F100 Super Sabre, FJ-2/FJ-3 Fury Mig, 15, 16, 19, 21, 23, M3 Morrage or F4 Phantom but it would be hard to allow me to keep the main cannons in working order. not like I am going to start dogfighting F14 for some reasons

You forgot to mention the insane cost of operation and the insurance. The qualifications required to fly something like are steep. And don’t forget the size of cahoonas you’re going to need.

104 interceptor?? What would it do if it intercepted?? The ones I worked on in Nam had no armaments' save the pilots sidearm. RF-104 Voodoos would take pre airstrike photos with little concern, however on returning for photos of the damage they were greeted by the owners!!
Jack, you need to edit your comment, your memory or both. The Voodoo was the F/RF-101, a twin-engine contemporary of the single-engine F-104 Starfighter. As to your question about armament, it had the 20mm Vulcan cannon (100 rounds per second) and the AIM-9 Sidewinder.

From the stories I've heard about how many pilots died in accidents flying the Starfighter, I'd be very leery of owning one. I know it was nicknamed the widowmaker and flying coffin by many who flew it.
Plus, where are you going to fly a Mach 2 aircraft, out over the ocean?

The T-33, T-38, Folland Gnat, L-29, L-39 and Fouga Magister are not fighters.
There are people who even try to claim the A-4 bomber is a fighter. I have also seen L-39s falsely advertised as MiGs!

These guys need to get some facts straight. "The L-39 was used by Czechoslovakia as a trainer." It was and still is their main fighter aircraft lol
*Edit: They got the L39's price super wrong. The plane goes for as little as 30,000 USD nowadays.
Also the F-86 Sabre was not the first swept-wing jet aircraft. The German Messerschmitt Me-262 was.
You are *tripping* if you think you can get an airworthy L-39 for that. Unless you're looking for a lawn ornament...
